i agree 100% one of my favorite nin sound fx & once i saw the neckpiece (tenor sax, im guessing) i started filming immediately. first time i've been this close and able to see it first hand.

horn" in the traditional sense. it is a shofar. the Israelites used it as a war cry to panic and frighten their enemies of war. obvious, because this song can be frightening. love it.

trent is using an unattached neck piece to a saxophone (my guess is tenor). that sound is easily reproduced with the reed which creates that buzzing and he mutes the end with his hand.

I like the piano at the end instead of the second guitar...it was a nice little twist on the song.

And my God...Robin's guitar sounds absolutely devastating. I don't know how he gets such thick, loud and absolutely abrasive tones like that, but I love 'em.
