I like Obama's orientation on net neutrality, we need to support him to carry it through. I also simply favor a President who will understand the basic tool, computers, of half the population's lives. I wish the big issue of genetic engineering had come up in the campaign. The big corps grabbing up food species and "owning" them is a big threat--our founding father's realized this when they didn't allow the patenting of crops.
Saying "The president doesn't need to know anything about computers because he can have someone else use the computer for him" is like saying "The president doesn't need to know anything about ____ (foreign policy, the economy, education ect.) because he can have an advisor make those policy decisions for him"
He's so right too. People don't make a big enough deal out of this. The Internet is the only place where everyone can get an equal voice, and if they start to limit it for the common people's accessibility to it, then that is gone.
