If you are using a cordless phone or wireless router, I'd suggest using a hifi grade mains extension, as this seems to lessen the negativity. I would use hifi grade cabling wherever possible. I've never heard of anyone going into psychosis because of them. that is not to say one should not look at other options like quality hi fi cables you suggest. A bit of everything, and all helps. Just as its good to use sunblock when going out doesn't mean one can should then go out and expose oneself in the midday sun.

I bought one a couple of years ago (the STR3 black model), it worked on the first day
I started to feel different and then 3 different people out of nowhere came to me and asked me for directions
I felt like a magnet, and I felt pretty good, soon after that though the effect wore off, I went back to feeling normal,
