Most of the credits for this, are for anonymous workers and companies from some 20 countries, who gave from food, clothes and medicines, to work hours and equipment.
It was just a bitter moment in the lives of 33 humble workers from my country. Most Chileans were shocked by the huge contrast between these humble miners and the high safety standards of CODELCO workers (state-owned copper company , producing 11% of world copper, Wiki: Codelco). Some of them didn't have even tap water in their own worker's camps homes.
The Gov. was smart enough to seek help everywhere, rather than facing a failure by keeping the rescue as a private issue (like China)

There are a lot of comments based on ignorance, the president did not take advantage of the situation politically, everything was serious, political right and left Chile were united, this is Chile, joins dificles things because we are very few people but we have a big heart, chile is an island country in South America.
@deanphilpot I knew somebody would take it there, to that GOD DAMN Illuminati bullshit. The goverment did know about this, the corporations knew, Now I hope they do something about it. if they dont, then it will happen again. But comon, cant we celebrate that there safe. I mean shit. People come th FUCK ON GOD DAMN, this is why the world is going to hell. Because of people like this guy in the video, and the comments made on here. It's beyond ignorance, It's fucking deserving of death
actually the miners do profit (1400 dolars per month). 5 times the minimal wage of Chile
The government it's guilty of not doing the proper fiscalization. The same week of the accident. the government closed 70 mines for security issues.
This is a private company, the government have no direct responsability of lead the rescue efforts. Piñera took the decision, against the advice of his ministers. They took a huge political risk (with 2% survival expectancy, it was a granted political suicide)
I didn't see it as propaganda. But I do think the Chilean president (Sebastian Pinera) took advantage of the situation to get some political points. Perhaps he'll need them in the next election.
Lindsay Lohan is a distraction. This was 33 miners trapped the longest and deepest underground ever and everyone made it out alive. The Chilean Goverment made sure there was safety equipement that saved every single miner at the time of the collapse. The Chilean Goverment brought in help and equipement from all over the world. The Chilean Gov did not coverup anything like BP, They were honest & told em it would be 3 months, it took a little over 2 months & every single Miner made it out Alive.
I don't see Chile involved in wars in foreign countries,I don't see Chile sending young men and women to die in Afghanistan to protect the profits of Haliburton and the Wall street Banks and the Military/Industrial complex. I don't see the US Goverment concerned about the safety of food in the Gulf of Mexico.
I don't think the Miners were slaves or forced to work in the mine. I see a Goverment that went all out to rescue the Miners whatever the cost. I only wish our gov thougt as much of us.
Right now I'm thinking the People of Chile and argentina & a lot of South America are treated better by their Goverments then the peasants and that is what they have reduced us to here in this country. In the US, the Goverment is jacking up taxes, doing little about people being foreclosed on, cutting people off from Unemployment & healthcare. It gets worse here every day while in South America the people are treated with more dignity and respect then we are by our so called elected leaders.
Did the Chilean Goverment use this as Propaganda ie Good PR? Probaly. On the other hand at least the Chilean President and his wife were present at the scene. I'm not so sure our President or Politicians would take time out of their busy schedules to do the same thing if it happened here.
Compare this to the BP or Katrina where the people were screwed to this Chilean operation where no expense was spared on the Rescue. I'm not sure our Goverment or Corporations would do the same thing here.
It was a big production, see how the government can save you lol. It was Chile, their 15 minutes of fame... a perfect distraction for the msm to latch on to.
i know... i've worked worse killer jobs than that one. It's the working man's fate to have to lay his being out there. i almost died a few times from working. This rescue turned into an event. It had an excellent final result. It made me proud of being part Chilean. (i wasn't before, but i am now) . We can get accustomed to alot of stuff. If you can work there that long of a time without getting killed, then it is actually a pretty good labor job.
something is going on and i mean some kind of conspiracy(oh yea i can hear some of u know: oh ur ust 1 of those illuminati belivers...noo) there was mine callapse in verginia and none help not even nasa but they helped chie why not our own naion can help each other something is happening ......
Oh they also commented on the sunglasses the miners had on when they reached the surface saying "it must have something to do with them being closer to the equator the suns rays are really bright down there I bet"
This morning our local news were some real scholars, they covered the rescue live and here's a quote from their commentary. " now when you see the rope coming up out of the rescue hole it means they are bringing another miner up to safety and away from where they were trapped alive" I wished I could have called in and said --- slow down a minute here, so your saying when the rope is coming up from the mine that means they are taking a rescued miners back down the hole, am Iright ???
did you notice when the guy who was liked Bob Marley, CNN played a bob marley song: "stolen from Africa, brought to America:!" How is that for a tribute to Chile?! Maximus WOWus! Amazing... right before your face and yet so still asleep....
What do you mean that the corporations do not care about me and you?! They provide us with jobs right?! Hey! Seriously, I appreciate your videos and am very glad that the minors were rescued! God Bless em! Have a great day my friend!
yo soy Chileno y este tipo esta muy mal informado, y miente, en Chile no existen las conspiraciones, solo en los paises extremadamente corruptos. saludos.

Yesterday was the anniversary of the original Friday the 13th, the day the Knights Templar were killed by the Pope.
Think about 33 men were pulled out a hellhole on 10-13-2010.
Everybody watched on TV-many for countless hours.
Everybody was thrilled about the rescue and felt good.
All the while, we descend to a hellhole of our own.
And in New Hampshire a newborn was raped.
God help us, were in hell while everybody watches their big screen television.

It was Chile, their 15 minutes of fame... a perfect distraction for the msm to latch on to.

kids go down there and usually die around 30 from black lungs. It's widely known about those mines and how the miners lack the proper equipments.

i know... i've worked worse killer jobs than that one.
