He corrupted the political system with spin and slease. He nearly bankrupt the economy by failing to regulate the banking industry properly. I think youre find that between 1974-1979 the economy grew by 1.9% per year on average and unemployment never exceeded 1.6 million. I also dont remember seeing homeless people in Southern towns like you did from the 80s onwards i guess its just perpespective

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, though a hard loyal party member, Labour has been quite weak with regard ending the time bomb economics that the Tories used to get rich quick. My real concern is what they will do if in the next election they win, they will "let the market sort itself out" and "mass unemployment will be a small price to pay to lower inflation" and people who want a job should "get on their bike". Thatcher was a tyrant with leaderships skills, Cameron is a tyrant without.
