  • hornady critical defense in 165gr are awsome

  • RIP Hathcocked...we miss you.

  • just bought a g23 today and love it shoot alot b4 so im use to it but i got it for 499 in westland oh yea im from detroit to

  • @racekidd131 from a shop called the firing line?

  • gun needs cleaning

  • He will be missed!

  • Why are you wearing gloves?

  • @Comegetsum2011 because hathcocked is a ninja..ninjas always wear gloves.

  • $560??? Way over paid... Glock 23 was my

first buy I paid $448 and Ingot everything you did plus a Blackhawk paddle holster. I'm just outside of Detroit in Romulus (Metro Airport).... You got Raped.

  • I am wanting a 40 for carry and I'll probably end up getting the 22 or 23, but I would rather have the Sig 226; only problem is the price.

  • @jmkpns 226 is a full size handgun though..kinda bulky for carry in my opinion.

  • That's my carry gun, great coice.

  • Hey look hathcocked I'm from georgia, I have the G23....& it's a bad ass gun...not big, not too small.

  • R.I.P

  • Ive never tried the glock 23. I did some adventure and military tourism a little while back, and used the glock 19 in israel. We also used a bunch of other really awesome guns, and even threw grenades! but anyway, whats the difference between the 19 and 23? the 19 was pretty compact, but other than that i dont really know much about glocks line of handguns. the company i went with was really awesome, by the way, you should look them up if youre interested. LionOps

  • Got one, feels like a 2x4, really uncomfortable.

  • Glock 23 40 cal. great handgun. It shoots accurate as fuck for me I guess I'm just awsome. John smith sounds like you need some target practice. I paid $499.00.

  • i purchased the gl23 gen4,in feb.I got it at a decent deal, and 3 13rd mags.I took it to an indoor range, and at abt 8 yrds,it shot abt 3 inches high. Not good.I asked 2 friends who are better than me to shoot it,same thing, shooting high.A friend had a set of meprolite nite sights for 75.00.I had him to put them on.For some reason factory sights werent accurate.I put large backstrap on it,its been great,so far.

  • Lucky for me I live in a country with tight gun control...or I'd blow too much money on handguns and ammo lol!

  • @boxa1500

i get what you were saying but nobody should even jokingly suggest so called "gun control" is a good thing it serves to do nothing but make criminals more confident

  • i brought a glock 23 used for 300 dollers and i love it, but my taurus millennium pt pro 111 9mm is better for carrying conseld its smaller lighter and has a safty lock on it,and it holds twelve hollow points and 1 in the pipe.

  • Nice glock

  • I owned a glock 23 for 12 yrs and never has it failed.

  • Uh James Bond Fail? 0:49

  • fuck the shit

  • Great choice I have a G23 for over a year trouble free, I go to the range an average of 3 X a month

  • You know what? I applaud you for not safety checking for MY needs. What do I care right? As long as you safety check for yourself who the fuck cares.lol

  • just picked one up the other day for $399, it was used but new. put a 100 rounds through it today and it was flawless, 180 grain and 165 grain. kinda new at the whole thing though, whats the difference with the grain count?

  • not bad. no need for the death metal in the beginning though. how much did you pay for the winchester elite? and what weight is it. I love winchester for HD ammo.

  • @Marc4166 You must have absolutely no idea what Death Metal is. Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Behemoth, God Dethroned, etc. Those are Death Metal.

  • bought my first hand gun glad we got the glock 23 now we just have to take it out and shoot it

  • just bought my glock23 for $398 ($468 out the door).

  • You made a great choice. My Glock 23 is the perfect pistol for me. It is still 100% stock just as it came in the box. After 1000 rounds (give or take a few) its never failed me. Once you find the spot, more than deadly accurate. Good luck!

  • @Slant81 I've been carrying for over a year and it has never had a single malfunction. Thanks for watching!

  • @Slant81 its a great gun and a true life saver

  • whish u would have backed the camera up so I could see the whole gun at least once in this vid

  • @TheJason575 I "wish" you would have bought a Glock 23 and made a superior video yourself but we all want things we cant have. Thanks for stopping by.

  • $560 bucks sucks ass thats i can get gen3s for 499

  • @TheChamberofFarts This was over a year ago at the height of the obama gun scare. $60 dollars over years of use and carry wont kill me either way. Thanks for watching.

  • @TheChamberofFarts I just bought one, brand new, for 479

  • @1039sflem damn thats a good price and a good dealer. He isnt making very much off it at all. 499 is the normal low for a respectable dealer

  • @TheChamberofFarts lol $499 I can get you a Gen4 out the door for $425 PM me for info:).

  • @EvilBunniexxx $425 what are you one of thoes pathological liers? Thats way to good of a deal

  • @TheChamberofFarts You got ripped off they $ 469.00 at Academdy for Gen 3, everyday.

  • @SuperCutter2 not as bad as the sucker who paid $560! Besides im all about my glock 20 now. 10mm is the best round for semis ever!

  • were do you live bro? how can you gen 3 for that price they re high up money wise

  • @KASYZ250 My hands are green like the incredible hulk so I cover them up.

  • How does the recoil compare to a 27? I found the 27 to be a bit on the unbrearable and not fun side of shooting...

  • @ressikanflute It's a bit heavier and you can squeeze an extra finger on the 23 so it's a lot more manageable for people sensitive to recoil. I don't think any pistol the size of the 27 is really fun to shoot. You trade off comfort for concealment.

  • @ressikanflute I have had a glock 27 for a few years now and it is a piece of cake to shoot, with the pierce +1 grip extension, extra mags are 15 round glock 22 mags. i did just buy a glock 23 and i like it better, but the 27 is easier to conceal.

  • thank you for not being a retard if you shoot yourself thats ur problem people who comment on that fucking piss me off

  • @vegasJuggalo1 Yeah it get's me angry too, I check the gun multiple times before I even set the camera up lol.

  • how much better is the glock than the walther p99 .40 cal????...I heard it was the same...

  • @mrsilentkilla1 I have never had a chance to shoot the Walther so I can't say. I can however say that my Glock has been 100% reliable and very accurate.

  • Hey got a question??? Uh....DiD you kill tupac I see the black gloves and the music in the back...yeah uh..cuz if u did u know that's fuckeD up but you kool wit me.jp lol I just picked mine up glock 23 and mine came wit two mags and I love mine

  • @milwaukeeboy25 Come on man everyone knows Orlando Anderson killed Pac lol. Can't go wrong with a Glock, thanks for watching.

  • Did you say this came with two magazines? When i bought my 23 last year the dude wanted $30 each for them. I was like...I just spent $600 bucks...throw me a bone. Maybe I need to shop where you shop.

  • @spm1021 Yep mine came with 2 mags. I feel the same way, it wouldn't kill them to toss in a little something extra once and awhile.

  • @spm1021 I just bought my G23 gen4 and it came with 3 mags.

  • 1039sflem how did you find one for 470 it's 550 and up where I live in va

  • I just got a brand new G23 for $470, I don't buy used guns.

  • Is $500 a good deal for a used G23 in great condition? Please let me know.

  • @253redrum I think $500 is a little bit high for a used 23, not out of the realm of reasonableness though. I think $400-$450 used is a bit more fair. That being said if it's in great condition you can't go wrong, might want to haggle a little with the price though if possible.

  • @253redrum if its for 500 then just go for a new one. u might end up spending 50 bucks extra

  • i got a glock 23 3rd gen for 414.00 off jgsales.com not a bad deal its a police trade in

  • @fireEMS347 That's a damn fine deal!

  • $415 in Arizona if your LEO or Military. You can not beat a Glock for any type of carry. I to carry Sig Sauer P226 .40 S&W as my primary duty carry weapon. I carried a Glock 17 for 9 years. I am going to buy a Glock 23 for ccw carry as the P229 is much to heavy in my opinion. Thx for the Video.

  • @LOMROB I miss the open carry in arizona, i had to move back to florida the gunshine state. Home of the floridiots! LOL!

  • Fuck sake... $560???

That same pistol costs exactly twice as much, up here in canada.

  • @lexmark136 And $560 is kinda high here in the states for a Glock. I feel bad for you fine folks across the border.

  • No safety very accurate & reliable. Glock 17 owner

  • @bigdczeke That pretty much sums it up!

  • do you need a licence to buy this at a gun store or do you just need a backround check?

  • @marcus123452 In Michigan you have to obtain a pistol purchase permit before purchasing. After you buy the gun you have to return the filled out paperwork.

  • @hathcocked im in md so i guess its the same way . So how do the permit part work is it like u take a test u get it or do you have to pay for that seperate . Also is that a long process or is it something they can do while your in the gun shop ? Thanks !

  • cood vid .. like the close up heehhehe

  • Cool video. Thanks for uploading, bro. My model 23 was made in 1995 (according to the serial number). Love her to death! Mine came with only one (1) 13rd magazine though. I used to carry mine when I had my ccw and she hides away nicely.

  • @BigHosMan Mine is still running great, have never had a malfunction of any kind. Thinking about picking up a 30 SF next, well see. Thanks for watching!

  • I would rather have to shift my grip then accidentally drop the mag with the long release.

I would consider it good if you have to shift your grip in a duty/concealed situation. For competition?? take the longer mag release.

  • dont play with my emoctions plz give me glock 23 any one plzzzz i baag of to u allll users plz i want this gun in pakistan if anay body have then plz mail me in this id zoony25@yahoo.com

  • What state do you carry in, I'm curious because in my state it's next to impossible to get a ccw and you have to jump through hoops to try to get a permit (unless your a LEO)...

  • @dragfire293 Michigan. You take a CCW safety course, fill out the application and provide a passport quality photo of yourself, get the receipt from them and take it to the sheriff's office and get fingerprinted and wait for the background check and that's it.

  • @hathcocked Same process here in Fl

  • might be kinda late but i heard bike tire innertube works pretty good to wrap around the grip and its pretty thin...if your into that sort of thing

  • @Choncho203 I tried that as well, it seems like anything made of rubber makes my hands sweat more. I ended up getting some talon gun grips where are made of skateboard grip tape and I am really happy with them. Thanks for watching!

  • @hathcocked skateboard tape

  • how much is worth?

  • @ThePrimoProduction $489 new and abt $380 used

  • @bhbuckwheat k thnx dude

  • i carry a glock 22 for my personel carry im going to get a glock 23 and a glock 27 i love that a glock is so versatile all parts on the glock can be replaced or modified for cheap and can convert all .40 to a 9mm and a .357 sig too i love glock i should of bought one a long time ago but i bought taurus what junk that was compared to the glock nice vid

  • @bang2loud1981 Yeah sometimes it pays just spend the extra money and get it over with. I've been thinking about picking up a 27 myself lately, well see. Thanks for watching!

  • i can pay for this gun 1000$ but i can get this gun in my country pakistan this is my email zoony25@yahoo.com if any body have this gun then contect me plz

  • Very good firearm I have to say,for carry and personal defense. The .40 round does some nice stopping power while preserving a degree of good ballistic performance and a good, flat short range trajectory.

  • @fixdeluxe1 I totally agree with you. Thanks for watching!

  • I gotta question how much are they running

  • @ANTMILLZ23 They seem to be running in the $480 to $550 range right now, at least on gunbroker.

  • Hey, just picked up a new G23 RTF2. Never owned a glock before, magazine loads fine, but when loaded with rounds, it seems to be a little snug and I have to push on mag. a little to load. I own a SR9 and it have no problem, the mag. goes in with. So just wondering? When thew G23 is empty the mag snaps in simply, but when its loaded it have to be shoved up there...

  • @rolynjack That's normal with Glock's. Full mag's are a little snug. Congrats on your purchase, I'm sure the 23 will serve you well.

  • @hathcocked thanks! it was an anniversery gift from the wife. 11yrs strong. thanks for the info. I love the 23. Haven't took it out to the range but soon!

  • @hathcocked thanks dude, It shoots great!

  • @rolynjack you can load the mag up to max and let it sit a week to help loosen up the spring

  • whats with the gloves?

  • What kind of camera do you have? It's gotta be HD

  • @Catfishman1209 It's a Flip Mino HD, the older version of it.

  • Alot of people like the Glock cleaning rod for their expensive 1911's because it won't mess up the rifling.

  • nice vid

  • @ak47poppin Thanks!

  • Did you buy this at action impact and is that a good place to buy a gun in the detroit area

  • @stevenbut I bought this at Shooters Service, Action Impact is a good place to purchase firearms though. They have decent prices.

  • ive hear alot about glocks jamming. have you had any issues with that? i hear also that its from not holding the pistol correctly. im currently shopping around for my first pistol purchase and have seriously considered a G23.or S&W M&P 40

  • @richslayerbc08 If you limp wrist any pistol there is a chance of it jamming. I have never witnessed a Glock jam first hand and I have never had any malfunctions with my own. The G23 and the M&P are both great gun's, go with what feels best to you.

  • @hathcocked I agree. The only time my Sigma jammed was when my wife limp wristed it (but she's much better now. and I make he angry less as a result lol )

  • @chisteso lol!

  • Just got my g23 today also and already went out shooting it's like heaven in ur hands couldn't be happier

  • @Starscream322 Awesome man! Glad to hear you like it and it ran well for you.

  • I got the 23 today. Now just have to wait 10 days to get it! This gun fits my hands just right.

  • @EastJesus87 Congrats on the purchase man! I am sure you will love it.

  • finally someone thinks the same as me that shits fucking gay everyone thinks that safety checcking on camera makes them look cool or more professional everyone needs to quit with that bulshit you know everyone started copying nuttenfancy bunch of fucking faggs but vid man love the gun good choice you wont regret it trust me

  • @mariieg13 Don't get me wrong I'm all about being safe but I agree man, there is no reason to check the damn gun 20 times on camera and point out the fact that you are doing it each time. I check the gun before the camera even starts.

  • @mariieg13 agree

  • @mariieg13 seriously, and people yell at me for mine where i didnt check the chamber, its like STFU, its my gun, and i know how to operate it safely.

  • i have a glock 17, and im considering getting another one, either the glock 23, or the glock 26. With the 26 i can just switch directly from it to my 17, with the same cheap 9mm ammo. But the .40 would just be different and interesting, more expensive to shoot, but still affordable, what do you think. just for target shooting

  • @AirsoftVeteran96 Since you already have the 17 I would get the 23. They are a ton of fun to shoot and if you wanted you could get the conversion barrel to 357sig and 9mm. The 23 is very flexible and makes for a nice range gun.

  • @hathcocked the rtf 2 I have, does not have thw fish scale slide serations; it has the regular ones.

  • I just got the Glock 23 RTF 2 and i love it it has the rough texture that allows for a superb grip. Some people believe that its too rough but I have rough hands and It feels great.

  • @roadblock1963 Congrats on the purchase! I have checked out the RTF Glocks and really liked the feel of the grip.

  • Try talon grips

  • @Nicho2177 I actually have them on my 23, I did a review on them if you check my other videos. You really can't beat them for the price, and they are securely fixed to my gun to this day.

  • I just got my Glock 23 on Tuesday and on friday put 150 rounds through it. To be truthfully honest I really like it but I prefer shooting my XDM 40 3.8. The recoil on the G23 is significantly stronger than the XDM. My hand feels a lot more comfortable on the springfield than on the Glock, but i still love my glock and feel great about the purchase.

  • @roadblock1963 They are both great gun's! I just prefer the simplicity of the Glock. I don't think you can go wrong with either gun, it just comes down to personal preference. One thing I have to say is the XD's provide a lot of added value with the package they come with. It's a great time to be a gun owner, there are so many great designs out there from Glock to Springfield, S&W etc.

  • @roadblock1963 Can you put a 9mm barrel in the XDM .40 and use a 9mm mag and shoot it like a glock?

  • good honest review im stuck with the delemma of either a sig p226 or g23,have owned the g21 45acp damn tack driver out of the box wished i still had it but had to sell! im packin a pt1911 ar ss awesome gun for the price but still alittle big for ccw in the colder weather it hides very well but summer is a comin! got my eye on the g23 with the olive drab 2tone! stay safe out there

  • @ptaker762 I am a huge Sig fan but the P226 just felt too big for carry in my opinion. The Glock 23 is right at the edge of what I want to lug around all day. I give people massive credit that carry their 1911's on a daily basis. I am looking to pick up something even smaller when I can swing it money wise. I really like the OD Glock's, another thing on my endless wishlist lol.

  • Nice choice..i did the same..wuts ur thoughts on the gen 4 glocks??? been hearing mixed reviews..FTF etc..

  • @Glockizzle I definitely want to pick up a Gen 4 at some point. I think it was about time they addressed the ergonomics. As far as reliability I haven't had a chance to try one first hand so I can't really speak on that. Hopefully I will get a chance to shoot one soon.

  • I am waiting on my CHL, I got a G23 fired over 200 rounds so far and its a great pistol, simple to use, easy to conceal and packs a punch !!

  • @splinterman9 Glad to hear it's running well for you! I have yet to experience a malfunction in the 7 months I have owned my 23.

  • I think you've made an excellent choice. I'm not a Glock man either, but I admit a few models (19, 23, 36) are hard to beat for concealed carry. I recommend upgrading a few components, like the extended mag release, extended slide stop, and extended slide lock. All these mods make operation easier and have improved my shooting/handling experience with Glock. The spring base is thin and, in my opinion, flimsy, so I replaced it with the SS version with a thick base. Congrats and good video.

  • @frei1furimmer I ended up doing all those mods, it really should come that way. Next up is a trigger job. Just about the time I get it the way I want it, I will end up buying a Gen 4 lol!

  • Great video. I just traded my Sig p250 (.40 s&w) for a Glock 27. Even though the Sig felt like it was designed specifically for my hands, it did have a crappy trigger and at least one malfunction out of 3 magazines on average. The G27 is my first Glock, but it won't be my last.

  • @jlawmag The P250 felt amazing in my hands as well but I kept reading about people having issues with them and just couldn't buy it knowing I would be entrusting my life to it. From what I understand they have fixed many of the issues with the P250 and I wouldn't mind trying one down the road if I caught a deal. I will stick with the Glock for carry though. I wouldn't mind picking up a Gen 4 27 when they come out.

  • lmao! "I shoot myself so what, I'll deal with it."

  • @natezilla2k7 lol!

  • Just bought one today. My first .40. Stoked! Can't wait til I pick it up and take it for it's first range visit.

  • @summershere Congrats on the purchase! I am sure it will run great for you at the range.

  • I'm in the market for one of this babies. I have a Glock 39 right now, and I feel that the small frame of it really doesn't allow for optimal grip for a .45 Cal. Plus the slide is too thick for comfort.. I need a high cap, yet a big round still, full grip, and comfort... I chose the G23.

  • @SHUTupNrocK8 The 23 is a great pistol. Just enough length on the grip to get all your fingers on it. I might upgrade to a Gen 4 23 when they come out.

  • @hathcocked Actually my hands fit perfect on the Glock 19 frame grip, but I have smaller hands probably... or I don't wear gloves... lol just messin. And yea, I'll probably be getting a Glock 20 in Gen4 when it comes out, becuz of the adjustable grip size and there should be pleny of mods by the time they come out.

  • @SHUTupNrocK8 LOL! It's not like I am wearing winter mittens or something, I get so many questions about the gloves lol. I really like that replaceable backstrap on the gen 4. Another pistol I have been taking a hard look at is the Ruger SR9c, I need to pick up a 9mm at some point. I still might just pick up the conversion barrel for the 23.

  • @hathcocked I love the 9mm, but I would never trust it in a SD situation. If people ask why? It's because I'd rather have a bigger bullet traveling at almost the same speed with more engery hit a target... I'm more into stop power rather than fire away, least amount of shots as possible.

  • @hathcocked I would go .45 ACP for CCW, but it seems like every gun chamber in .45 ACP is either too thick for comfort or too low of a map cap, and if people complain about mag cap, I've been in too many situations, one recently, where I need more than 10 in the mag plus another mag.

  • @SHUTupNrocK8 Yeah I go with .40 for ccw, 13 +1 rounds of .40 is hard to beat for firepower versus capacity.

  • I really disliked Glock's until I bought the 21SF recently and after a couple hundred rounds it has become my primary carry.

  • @TheBgcheez They definitely grow on you that's for sure.

  • @hathcocked i agree

  • good video, i feel the same way about the whole "dark side" comment, i just bought a 23c, and im a big xd fan, it was just a good price, and felt great in my hand and glocks reputation is just unavoidable...

  • @Rubengt303 Yeah the Glock has this weird aura of peer pressure around it. Even if you start off disliking the gun eventually the reputation and first hand accounts of reliability just wears you down lol.

  • @hathcocked yeah i completely agree, im not bias at all when it comes to firearms i own or have owned about one of each of the major brand name firearma, and my dad (police/ex millitary 30+ years) said not to buy a glock, and my brother in law (my gunsmith) said to buy a glock. so i just had to try one out for myself...

  • Hey Hathcocked. I got a big prob. When firing my G23 for the first time the other day, I got a failure to feed on the 10th round of the clip. I'm too embarrassed to tell any of my buddies cause I've bragged so much on the damn thing. I'm really freakin worried, what do you think? It hasn't happened since, but I've only put about a hundred rounds through it. Using winchester 165 gr. FMJ's. I was rapid firing, maybe that is why? First F**kin clip man. What do you think? I'm new to this shit.

  • @TheBigbrad75 No matter what anyone says all gun's jam from time to time. Anything made by man can and will fail. That being said it is more the likely just due to breaking in. After 200 rounds if you are still having issues then it's time to worry about it. One jam out of 100 rounds with a new gun is nothing to sweat over. Let me know how it goes once you have a chance to shoot it some more.

  • XS sights about 110 $ + shipping = 120 $ . Not worth it i had on my 23 I took it off. I replaced with tru glo night sights and loved it. XS sights takes some time to get used to it. Great vid thanks man.

  • Saw some people commenting on the different prices they gave for their G23's. I personally live in KY and found one for the decent price of $500 plus 6% sales tax which brought the total to $530 even, which is in my book, the best money I've ever spent. I never knew it was possible to love anything non-human this much!

  • Just bought my first gun this week and guess what it is.... a Glock 23 40cal. I am in love. I have been playing with it more than my PS3. I think I may have found a new addiction. Can't wait to get my LaserMax Internal. Damn I can't wait.

  • @TheBigbrad75 Hah I hear that, when I first got my 23 I don't think I put the damn thing down for 2 weeks lol.

  • @hathcocked Dude, as sad as this sounds, I've actually took it to the bathroom and field-stripped it while I was taking a shit!! True Story. I have no idea why I'm sharing this sad detail of my life with a total stranger (and everyone that watches this video)

  • @TheBigbrad75 LOL! I have done that before. Forgot to bring reading material with me but the gun is always on my belt. Built in entertainment!

  • nice gun,it is my next cc weapon,,

  • @prasinos37 Nice! I am sure it will serve you well.

  • Glocks Rule~ Thanks for posting!

    5/5

  • @sootch00 I totally agree. I hope to pick up

a Gen 4 at some point this year.
