I never understood why this album was so critically panned at the time...It fucking rocked. I loved it at the time particularly because they were English.
I just found a Slammer patch on google while looking for band patches right after I clicked the link to this video. Coincidence? Or fate? Slammer is trying to tell me something guys, my thrash senses are tingling...
@pappachook Itunes do them... but not of this album, it hasnt be re-released unlike the other album and the E.P...... (they wer'e on a smaller independent label that gave more of a crap i guess) This album was on Warner Bros......
Saw these guys live before they split 20 odd years ago. Simply superb, best British thrash group ever. Glad someones put it on here, as my vynil LP wont convert to mp3 !!!
Slammer - I can't understand why they didn't become huge (other than they were in the wrong place at the wrong time). If they'd come form the USA they'd have been as successful as Anthrax or Testament (both excellent bands), but they evolved at a time when the majorityof the UK music press only featured thrash bands from Uncle Sam's Area. I remember seeing them at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt in 1989, with Treason as support (excellent band from London - "Path Of No Return") awesome gig.
Re-unite!!! for fuck sake there is a whole generation of new thrashers that fucking love this shit......I KNOW I'M ONE OF THEM.... re-unite now...when thrash is bigger than ever before!!! (especially in the U.K. with bands like evile, gama bomb, warpath, mutant, virus!)
Milo is my godfather. He is teaching me the guitar. And he taught this guy now hes got his own band called ifgodfails hes quite good. But milo moved to slavakia for 6 months so i have had no more lessons but im still at it.
haha, i know where the guitarist Milo lives still, grew up with the guy, he taught me how to play guitar when i was younger, always wished this band would reform and reunite!!!
Im being friendly - but - if anyone knows where to find it they will be there before you - I had a bidding war with some dude on ebay for this badboy. :)
I think this, Overkill: Takin Over & Nuclear Assault: Game Over are the three best Thrash albums ever (Although I cant really stop at 3...) But keep searching ebay you might get lucky, good luck - I do hope you get it - it's just awsome
I've got this bad boy on on CD, have a t-shirt and magz and more... =P, ill trying to get the record out on the market again but it's finding the owner of the deal, i spoke to the guitarist Milo and he is going to pass me on details of all the record deals and that and the owner of this album recording...
Woah Really? if thats true go have a look at the Death digi Pack reissues, the Exodus reissues & the Sabbat Reissues they were great actually they were REMASTERS & good ones at that. A double cd with the original recording on one & a kick ass remaster on the other would be brilliant. We badly need all the skyclad stuff remastered too especially the first album
If you can, bring up their 1990 EP in the reissue/remastered deal (it would make nice bonus tracks if demos or live recordings are out of the question).
I'm pretty sure that's the one. I can't think of any other EPs they might have had, and I'm sure "Insanity Addicts" was released about a year after their 1989 album here.
sick of redneck americans saying that theyre thrash is the best, who cares what country its from, this kicks ass, it has its own sound and so does bands from other countries besides america.
Bad~Ass Tune!!!!!

Saw this band everywhere... Great times – destroying Saxon and ripping up the After dark in Reading.

Bought this when released... god I feel old. Still sounds awesome even today. Best thing to have ever come out of Bradford imo.

These guys produced some of the best british thrash. But nothing to compare with the americans.
