  • im stealing this

  • you should read the book again.

  • you haven't understood the concept at all =\

  • LOL im sorry but all i can think about when i hear this song is (ass to ass! ass to ass!)

  • @kryptocake HAHAHAHA or how about " im gonna be on tv!"

  • I SMELL COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!

  • It's a pretty awesome trialer for a bunch of amateurs

  • wow, you REALLY didn't understand the tone of this book.

  • Im reading the book and its a huge piece of shit u fucking hate this shittttttty assssss boooook ima go wipe my ass with it!

  • @gui581

i'm surprised you can read, considering how you write.

  • @TheGonzogibby Lol i type liek this on pc..

  • My favorite book. Would make an amazing film.. though I'd probably pick it apart and hate it if someone actually made it.

  • I think it's a blessing in itself that any young person reads Vonnegut, regardless of their interpretation. It beats a well written review of a PS-3 game any day!

  • fucked up ending

  • this is so stupid; way to turn cat's cradle into a derivative action movie. if all you got out of the book was a variation of the day after tomorrow, then fuck you.

  • where is Newt? Also, I would like to see the big Mother tomb. I like to see how big the Nobel prize can buy.

  • @ MrGobBluth --- what kind of racist shit was that? If that's so, you shouldn't read Vonnegut 'cause you'll find it hard to relate.

  • See the cat? See the cradle? This is great but I think you need to read the book to really get it.

I can't prove it but I have a claim of credit here. After viewing a video of the super cooled Coronas I suggested it looked like Ice-9. Some time later this trailer showed up.

  • ching chong chingedy chong chong ching. Asians should not be in movies.

  • Grow up MrGobBluth...

  • eh, whats with the lame dramatization? it doesn't match the tone of a vonnegut work at all.

  • @thetramp123 Lol, what's up, Floyd. I was thinking the same damn thing.

  • Great sound,

It started out really lame but got much better.

  • stupid as hell, and this goddamn requiem for a dream theme...

  • Tigers got to hunt

    Birds got to fly

Mans got to wonder, why, why , why?

    Love that part.

  • ha

    hes holding a corona

  • Entirely accurate or not, it was really cute...a good take on it i think

  • I like it, I'm reading the book right now. It's kind of funny in a dark kind of way. I think you should have incoorporated more of the humor of the book into the trailer. After all, the book was a satire. But that's just me. I'm working on adapting the scene where the guy is talking to the professor(I think his name was Dr. Breed) about ice-9.

  • haha...this is classic.

  • what a stupid dickhead you are, your mother must be proud

  • LOLZ. I'm doing a project for school on Cat's Cradle..I think i'm going to have to show this in my presentation. You guys rock. Thanks.

  • You get to do a project on Cat's Cradle? Wow. My school sucks.

  • Remember that this is my idea. I saw the super cooled corona and said it looked like ice 9? I swear it was me. But very good trailer. They should make a movie.

  • very very good... i think you need a better camera... but you made it beautifuly! of course i noticed the exerpt from "day after tomorrow" but this was genius! keep up the great work

  • You stole the music from Requiem for a Dream.

  • Everyone does. Every second TV show does. Even some other movies do. E.g. Sunshine.

  • yeah i've heard the SHV movies not too bad. Bruce willis & Nick noltee are in the movie for breakfast of champions. Most of the time i can only take film adaptatioins of novels with a grain of salt. Overall i think these guys did a pretty good job with basic software and etc. Ya know rumor has it Leonardo De'caprio's production company bought the rights to cat's cradle...some people say it fell through, others say its still in progress. I'll cross my fingers though. Take care

  • Yo for real, don't act like you know Kurt Vonnegut better than anybody else. And to speak of overused, why don't u give the "rolling in his grave" cliche a rest the next time you want to sound pretentious?

  • Just did 2 papers on cats cradle for my philisophical lit class (we had to do a report on a text from outside the class so i used that as an excuse to read a book that doesn't get any love from academia) anyway good work i enjoyed it. It was funny but well put together for how 'low budget' it is. I'm amazaed anyone is against this or thinks vonnegut would be offended, that was rediculous. good work looked like u had fun

  • damn a laugfh so muck when i see the fireman ..what the

  • I was suggested to read this book so I looked it up. This trailer makes me wanna read it bad now!

PS don't listen to these scum-lords below me who thumb downed all of your supporters and called you names.

    Cheers!

  • Where'd you go? I want to see the rest!

  • good job guys on this trailer!!! ^^

  • Kurt Vonnegut is epic, and eh this was interesting.. >.> I feel like his books (for the most part) are a bit too abstract for live action films.

  • Wow, fuck you. gay.

  • i just started reading this book this week im a quarter of the way in and i must say i dont really get what hes trying to say about bokonon.

what is bokonon can anyine help me out here

  • bokonon is basically a parody on world religion. He is also one of the machines that movies the story along.

  • Bokonon is a satire of organized religion

  • GREAT VIDEO!...real quality. great choice of music too.

  • Clever

  • In my mind, the narator was not necesrilly sadened, but was instead more meloncholy, crestfallen-not as melodramatic. Good attempt at trying to make Vonnegut into a movie star, though.

  • Most amazing video of all time. The director should go to hollywood. Im crying right now

  • good good good good good job!

great compilation of events in the novel... i was really surprised.

  • there's something strangely charismatic about how low-budget that was. Wish you guys would've done the Bokonist foot touch thing ;)

  • that was Tight!

  • 1. is cats cradle the name of the book?

    2. what music is this?

    PLEASE REPLY!!!!

  • 1. yes, "cat's cradle" is the name of the book

    2. I think the music is called "Requiem for a dream"

  • thank you me lord.

  • I really hope you stop making this movie for the sake of mankind. seriously.

  • oh relax, it looks like a school project

  • you too, what a stupid dickhead you are

  • I don't know about the rest of you, but that requiem for a dream song gets annoying after the one millionth time.

  • Good Job, Boys... and I hope you got an A on your book report, too...

  • This is a disgrace to Vonnegut and extremely unoriginal.

  • They are highschool kids.

    You're a douchebag.

  • wow

I mean the book is awesime, but this makes the story seem so much more compelling. This movie should be made.

BTW, I'm reading Slaughterhouse-Five right now

  • Question: How did you do the beer bottle thing? I know I know how it is done. I just forgot. Email: mash_hawkeye_homer@yahoo(dot).com

  • LOVE VONNEGUT.

  • Pretty good, but half of the stuff in here seems irrelevant, and the description of Ice-9 is wack

  • silly asians, vonnegut is for people. I thought asian people were funny on their own, but acting out cat's cradle is epitome of comedy.

  • omg this was soooooo good..the book was really weird..good job

  • This was actually really good. Good work!

  • I smell an Oscar

  • LAAAAAAAAWL.

  • not enough white people

  • wow prety good

  • Great book. And you know what? Good effort by you guys.

  • LAME.

  • i bet u did not even read the book fag

  • I did, donut puncher.

  • the music you used does not fit the theme of the story at all.

  • It's Lux Aeterna, the Requiem for a Dream theme. It's by Clint Mansell.

  • good job. really good job.

  • woah. that is intense stuff.

  • Really nice. You don't really see homemade vids this good anymore. Good layman's summary to Vonnegut, too!

  • wow i dont no what to say but whatever that was i liked it :)

  • wow, a whole lot more theatrical (and entertaining) than the book itself!

    can't wait to see it.

  • What is the music?

  • sounds like the music from "requiem for a dream"

  • see the cat....see the cradle. ahahhahahah

  • If this was a film school project, you should cop to that in the description. Very well done. Try "The Sirens of Titan."

  • Wow. This is very well done. Great student project.

  • great video and interpretation of the book! I think the guy who said "how does the story end" is very hott!!!

    awesome clips.

  • AHAHAHAHA... uummmm oh well

  • this is sweetest thing i have ever seen.

  • This wasn't inspired by my ice-nine comment I made a few few weeks ago on the the corona freezing video, was it? Looks good. The trick to making a vonnegut movie is getting him in it. He has appeared in all his film. Happy film making.

  • haha well I percieved the book quite differently. I didn't think it was this serious.

  • i hope this is a joke.
