It used to be that regular cops hated and were afraid of IA - Internal Affairs - because they worked very, very hard to make sure they found out what really happened. They sent a lot of cops to prison and had a lot of cops removed from the force and barred from ever being cops again. When did that stop? Now IA is there to make up excuses, discredit complainers or ignore people who file complaints as far as I can tell. A cop with 50 or more complaints is a hazard on the streets!
