  • lol the train is a 2010 product

  • honestly, this was one of the more coplicated builds for me. although im 12 years old. I also have many experience building lego.

  • cool trick for stickers, take some clear spray paint, one coat will hold them on perminently without hurting the brick, grenated you find the right type of clear paint.

  • in my perspectiveim only 12 and ahe atleast 8 years of experience in building and it literaly took me like an hour and 30 minutes to build this set i dont know if you took pausesin between the building, but 2 HOURS just to build the engine part c'mon lets be reasonable maybe an hour...... thank you for hering me out. :)

  • @markandshermanfan I took my time! :D Plus I had rather bad lighting, so yeah, 3 hours. I'm just slow! XD Thanks for the comment!

  • @legomaniac1128 Hey! Its good to build slower! I enjoy sets more when I build slow. lol :)

  • I Lol'ed so hard when you said "STOWAWAYS!!!!"

  • would you recommend getting this set or getting the new lego harry potter hogwarts express?

  • dangit sorry i just saw the part where you said it doesnt, sorry..

  • did it come with the train tracks?

  • @TastexBlood No.

  • stowaways!!! LOL!!

  • @MrTransformerfan1996 Toss them off the train!!! XD The Canadian Critic

  • Hey nice review you have but I was wondering: how do you mean it is quite small? I mean it looks pretty big compared to the minifigs.. I'm doubting to order this set to add to my 1930's-LEGOcity...

  • @topgear22 I meant that the box kind of made it look larger than I thought it would. And yes, it is totally worth buying. Even if you aren't doing a 30-40's layout, it's still a beautiful train. The Canadian Critic

  • @legomaniac1128 I've bought the set two days ago and it's now shining in my city, jeey! It really is quite a stunner, once you look at it, it's hard to stop.. :-)

BTW: the part you don't really know what they're for on the tender, are.. I think, just the doors..because that's where they put the coals and they're not suppose to go out ;)

  • @topgear22 Great to hear you enjoyed it! The doors are meant to keep the coal in. The Canadian Critic

  • Is that the police command centre coz I got that from legoland and I'm getting the emerald night from legoland the cc was easy.

  • The largest set ever built was the Mobile Command Center. The hardest one would have to be the Emerald Night. The Canadian Critic

  • im going to get it for my birthday

  • You've convinced me I saw it in Lego catolouge gotta go order it run!!!!!

  • im gonnas buy 2 so i can get a extra coach then sell the second engine on ebay or somthing

  • Sorry, anyways you could just use the train parts for something else, that's what I'd do. The Canadian Critic

  • yea

  • that would be easy because i did the death star so that would be easy

  • So today, we're going to be looking at the lego exclusive... uhhh... errr..... emerald night!

  • 4:37 ITS THE KRACKEN

  • It's more like an octopus. The Canadian Critic

  • yeah but they use it as a kracken

  • BUT IT"S AN OCTOPUS!!!! Next you'll say you can see the Tails doll in the video. Creepy frickin' doll. The Canadian Critic

  • you know those two little door things on the tender (coal car)? Did you ever ask what they were? I think its so the coal doesnt poar out the sides, not sure...

  • That's what there they're for! The Canadian Critic

  • Haha! This video made me laugh!! I loved my cameo in there... I'm honored to have a minifig created in the likeness of me XDD Thanks so very much for that, and sorry that I didn't see this video until now, your message got buried amongst the others.

Hmmm... just what WERE we doing in there anyways? :>>>

Awesome review by the way, your videos are very informative. I never thought to look at reviews of Lego sets before buying them! I'll have to do that from now on. Keep up the great work!

  • DISCUSSING IMPORTANT THINGS!!!!! Thanks, I love it when people can make me chuckle when reading a comment. Do you know Bridget? < P I couldn't resist a reference to that character. Now, if you don't mind, I need to smack myself and get back to reality. The Canadian Critic

  • I built a motorized AT-AT walker in what my parents beleive as 3 hours, more or less! Bring on the Emerald night!

  • So, Is it worth the cash?

  • Most Definitely!! The Canadian Critic

  • good. cause im a big fan of the lego trains and this one by far looks the best designed one. it just springs classic and collectible. ty for the video and i cant wait to pick it up

  • Sorry, I want to ask you for something. If the lego 8293 set can do the power functions of the emeralde night? Thank you

  • Can you simplify that please, I don't have every set number memorized yet. :) The Canadian Critic

  • the face is from the old viking sets

  • Actually, the face was originally released in the Scorpion Palace in the Orient Expedition. Sorry. I had to point that out. The Canadian Critic
