Quite a few years ago here in West Virginia, we had wire pumping lines on standard rigs. Take the beam down, put on the bull ropes and I could pull a 2000 ft well in 20 minutes. Change valve cups and run it back in. Those days are long gone.

Why is everyone down on the operator? He is the one that should have the most experince and is the boss on the rig. The ones wrenching on the rods are always the green hand worms. And lets not forget that I don't see hard hats, eye protection, FRC and more than likely no steel toes. This must be in texas.

Have a look at the size of this pump jack.. its no taller than the guy spinning the fucking rods on it. two, its in the upstroke, with the weights on the bottom. They arn't going anywhere. Three judging by how old this fucking shit looks I can guarentee it doesn't make more than a barrel or two of oil a day if that, with that being said, as soon as the downhole pump was unseeted from the nipple this well went on a whore of a vaccum.
