I don't think it's really fair comparing it to the old one, especially considering the hype it has to live up to as well as the car design and emissions laws that it has to pass. Looks like a brilliant car to me (although pop-up headlights would make it even better imo), and it's a shame they're not putting it into production.

It is a real shame that this Lancia didn't see a limited production run. It is truly a work of art. While the Ferrari engine harkens back to the old Stratos' Dino V6 engine, the V8 just didn't seem appropriate. It would be nice to see this body with a Ferrari-tuned version of Chrysler/Fiat's new Pentastar V6. After all, it was named as one of Ward's Top 10 Engines of 2012. At the very least, I hope this body shell will become available for kit cars.

Sad that the 2010 model is a one-off. They did a very nice job of reinterpreting the classic Stratos character. It would be very sweet if they made more of them. It's fantastically beautiful.

@DtRockstar1 I completely agree with you concerning the BMW M1.  If they did it as nicely as they did this Stratos it would be stellar. Wish I had the means to commission that idea for myself!
