  • OMG. at 3:16 god looked me straight in my eyes and said: "Woah! Better than big bang! :-O "

  • just to settle this. Its DRUMSTEP

  • @toastinater Just to settle this. Its DRUM AND BASS

  • @toastinater

this normal dnb, drumstep has a half time beat, like dubstep

  • @ThePoorShogun drumstep is a lie. dubstep is dnb's beat half-timed. check out some photek and get educated on how drumstep is really just a "mainstream" renaming of dnb.

  • @l3viathn

    dnb is around 170-180 bpm

dubstep is around 140 half time

do the the math, this what you said doesnt work out

  • @ThePoorShogun it's set to 140, and the beat is created at half-time in the creation process. And yes, dubstep does have a lot to do with dnb. Dub, the electronic form of reggae, did not have the 2-step style that dubstep has. those 2-step drum patterns were taken from dnb. What you said about "drumstep" having half-time beat is what I'm saying about dubstep. please PLEASE look at photek - deadly technology before continuing this, and consider that song came out when dubstep was getting started.

  • @l3viathn

it is true that dnb and dubstep both use 2step drum patterns but thats it

and i listened to the song, its a great dnb tune, but whats your point?

  • @l3viathn

dnb set to 170-180 but with a half time beat is what i consider drumstep

maybe drumstep is a bit confusing as a term, but thats how people call it

  • @l3viathn

and i never called this one drumstep

    this is pure dnb

  • @ThePoorShogun dubstep is dub, except that it has the 2-step drum patterns from dnb, thus classifying it as a fusion genre of dub and dnb. The point of photek: it sounds like what "people" are calling "drumstep," so just because someone calls something a certain name, does not make it real. Point me to something you consider drumstep.

  • @l3viathn

    /watch?v=kesEmsTtAXQ

    half time dnb

  • @ThePoorShogun And that's why it's dubstep.

  • @l3viathn

how the fuck is this dubstep?

    its halftime dnb

  • @ThePoorShogun I'd more classify it as brostep, but I didn't want to confuse the situation any further with another genre title. It'd dubstep because it uses the half-time dnb beat with dub wobbles, that's where dubstep gets it's name. It'd be brostep because it's the heavier version of dubstep (more like metal than reggae).

  • @l3viathn

dub is classified by subbass, not by random midrange wobbles

    and to be clear

    140 halftime is dubstep

how can 180 halftime be dubstep then?

learn basic math halftime 180 is 20 bpm more then halftime 140

either way,i hope your just trolling me.if yes, good job

    if no,well.im sorry for you

  • @ThePoorShogun actually its 40 more not 20, because 180 - 140 = 40.

  • @TheLieutenantE

    half time 180 = 90

    half time 140 = 70

    90-70=20

  • @ThePoorShogun oh, bad i didnt know we were doing half of the original numbers.

  • @l3viathn

also, dubstep has nothing to do with dnb, except that its both breakbeat, and therefore has the same roots in DJs sampling breaks in the 70s

  • @toastinater You're an idiot. There is no such thing as drumstep. Go listen to Photek - Deadly Technology, it sounds a lot like this and was around when dubstep was just getting started. Dubstep came from the fusion of dub and dnb, so to call anything "drumstep" is to say we added more dnb to something that already had dnb in it, and came up with something that sounded like some old dnb songs, so OBVIOUSLY it's a new genre.

  • @l3viathn yeah whatever man its on the official dnb channel /watch?v=P3ot-LMuPgs

  • @toastinater "official dnb channel" ... awh, that's cute. It's UKF, not "official".

  • boots and cats and to beat boot cats! ^^ yes thats drum and bass :D

  • Dnb dnB dnb DnB DNB DNb dNb (boots and cats and to beat boot cats. say this as fast as possible and you get dnb

  • thats sick :)

  • anyone know what the talking samples are from?

  • is it just me or do I hear a little Knight Rider in there?

  • @orangeBreakfa5t They've taken an extract from from the movie 'Perfume, Story of a murderer' < Epic-genius film

  • @orangeBreakfa5t i hear it to its the didledidleldieldieldiel sound

  • this is heavy.....

  • FFF**k... i'm flying!

  • DnB or Dub?

  • @SpencerSabo DnB

  • @THEDUBSTEPKID

    dnb and dubstep

  • Welcome to the Drum&Bass Universe!!

  • @SpencerSabo Stupid Fuck.

  • @mcproblem13 wtf is your problem

  • @SpencerSabo TURN THAN U UPSIDE DOWN!

  • @SpencerSabo does this sound like dubstep to you?..

  • @SpencerSabo DnB obviously theres only so many bumps and squeeks the ear can handle

  • @SpencerSabo dub comes from reggae, and dub combined with dnb is what gives you dubstep.
