Oh yea I got the Wretch going into the Assblaster on this song too. I enjoy doing things like I would in the studio so people can see something more than just someone playing a recording they made. I use every piece I bring with me during my set. I enjoy Dj's as much as the next guy but I try to bring something more to the table and let people see how its done with live electronics and the power of Midi. Plus I love tweaking!
I use my EMX as the master to sequence the other Electribes, Darkstar and Wretch Machine. They all have their own unique sound and use. The ER has a dope sound for drums, the EA I use for guitar sounding parts, ESX for small crazy tweaked out samples, Darkstar I usually patch into my KP3, the Wretch and Waldorf are great for squelchy and bass, SP404 for long one shot samples, Kaossilator into Airsynth into Airfx into MiniKP for on the fly improv and my Radias into KP2 for a lot of the lead parts
That's a pretty impressive setup for a live show. I've been stocking up on the Tribes lately. So why so much gear for the live setup? ease of tweaking it live.. just curious, still up in the air about how much gear i haul with me
