For me eurovision song contest is not a money-machine it is a part of my culture as an european and a part of my childhood and memories. Now this press conference gave me a bitter taste in my mouth. It ruined my happy feeling.

This executive guy in the movieclip says: 25 countries. There will be 25 countries in the final. But 5 of them didn't get there by voting, and I have nothing against that. The only thing I'm saying is that he can't be sure the best 25 countries will be in the final, 'cuz 5 of them have not been voted for. And also: the system with 2 semifinals, although I like it, allows countries not to reach the final while they're better than f.e. the 10th finalist from the other semi-final.
it's a shame that countries that don't get into a final can't vote-isn't a eurovision all about getting europe unite for a week or so?! i think it's important, no matter the quality of music, to get a chance to decide for the whole europe who do we think it's the best and participate together in such an event, because we don't have many, isn't it so? and don't forget that music used and still unites ppl-so why cutting this fact here?! ;)
Anyway, really nice video! Firstly I thought it was going to be too long to watch it all but it was very interesting so I couldn't stop watching it :P

Most best songs this year come from the east too, the only non-Eastern song this year that I really really like is Switzerland. I alsowish more countries could sing in their native languages (especially if the singer can't even sing well in English like the case is sometimes).

Not only Eastern countries vote for each other though, I'm almost sure Sweden will give many votes to Iceland, Norway and so on. I also think many neighbour countries give their votes to each other cause they have more similar taste in music and for example a Bosnian singer is probably more well-known in Serbia than France or something, and a Swedish singer is more known in Norway than Bosnia.

SENHORA DO MAR (Lady of the Sea) from PORTUGAL is a great song, a song full of strength. It is a hymn to all the women that have lost relatives in the sea. This is a familiar situation for Vania coming from an island as Madeira. Vania deserves the honor of bringing to our country the 1st trophy, because all the portuguese have proud of her, of her simplicity and high professional skils and all the team that is defending our country in Belgrade! She really sings! Best and good luck for them!

Two reasons why we won't have the best 25 countries in the final:
1) who voted Spain, France, the UK, and Germany to the final?
2) separate semi-finals: the 11th country in one semi-final could be better than the 10th country in the other semi-final.
So when he says the 25 best countries will be in the final, that's a complete lie.
