  • So do you get there ID in the top right and just put a H on the right for the the plane too hold????????.

  • @TobyParr yes H is to hold the plane on the runway !

  • C 270 = RUMBO 270

    C 2 = 2000 PIES

    S 180 = 180 KIAS

    T = TAKE OFF

    L = LANDING

  • I i'd just like to ask, is this simulator made for AREA controllers or AERODROME & APPROACH controllers???? I really need to know, thanks

  • @eliminator09 AERODROME & APPROACH controllers

  • @jaylink1971 thank you!!!

  • i understand the landing what i must to do? The flight has the speed: 180 Knots is of 2000 feet.. but what must i doing now? PLEASE HELP ME! ;-)

  • @maxzuercherid you clear it to land?

  • What the hell? Nothing works, I press C and then the taxiway/RWY but nothing happens. Too complicated

  • @PhotographerJan Well probably because you don't clear planes for taxiways or runways. Try reading the instructions....or are "words" too complicated for you?

  • what is the best atc control game to play? the best free one and the best one to buy

  • how do you tell the plane to line up?? please respond =S

  • wish you could just designate a runway for planes to land on...for airports like ORD it's hard to manage that many planes

  • Really cool game, but I think you should add STAR (Standard terminal arrival route), it is like that in the real world. The planes will then turn at the right fixes, VORs and so on itself. Another thing that should be fixed is that the planes intercept the localizer correctly.

  • how i can stopid the starting airplane?

  • The planes land automatically?

  • Would be better if you get options when you click on the aircraft,

  • ok i just checked and this computer allows pause but mine doesnt een show the options.

  • i think i remember u an pause but i forgot how do u pause again?

  • I can get them to take off ok... I can keep them from crashing ok... but I am not get them to land!!!!!!! They just fly over top and off screen!!! GRRRR LAND BASTARDS!!!!!! Can you help...

    ID C 2

ID L 14R (then they just keep going in the same direction as if they have no idea where the runway is

  • @cm79ca You have to vector them to the runway heading and down to 2500 feet, then [PlaneID] L [runway number]

  • ok thanks

  • awsome vid,

can you attach a mic to speak or can you only type?

  • cool vid, looks easy to use

can you attach a mic to speak or can you only type?

    thanks

  • @badgerboy2468 You can speak ... but it only understands keyboard input. :-)

  • Assigning altitude and speed and direction is understood. How to assign a plane to land ? Do I issue the C L, or just L ? Do i issues the landing command along with the runway heading or runway number ?

  • @chakdeychar Yes, just L. For example, UAL123 L 28 or UAL123 L 9R

  • Ok I am new to this. Kind of a head-spinner, but cool. How do I assign what runway the plane to land on ? Do I issue the C L (cleared to land) then runway heading like 22L ?

Also, is 2000 the altitude where they land from ?

    Kindly shed light on this.

  • how can i let them reduce the speed?

  • @JBkollerbeck From the instructions: FlightID S [speed]

  • @jaylink1971 >>>>> It doesn't work for me. I typed "FlightID S 20" and it didn't reduce speed to 200 knots!

Please help as this is the only one that didn't work for me. Perhaps there is some sort of restriction???

  • @someonefromuk It's 200, not 20: "FlightID S 200"

  • @jaylink1971 It worked. Many many many thanks indeed :D

  • @someonefromuk in spanish use to google translation , tienes que escribir el FLight id ejemplo: PUA257 L33 o PUA257 S 200

  • Excellent atc sim. I've playing this for 2weeks now. It is very addictive. I have playing it on my iPhone and it works pretty good but not asgood as the pc. Jay keep up the ggod work.

    J F Galo

  • I made a stupid mistake. I cleared a plane for takeoff and I was waiting for about 3 minutes for him to takeoff then I realized the sim was paused....I feel pretty dumb.

  • I prefer IVAO instead of these weird ATC games with fake planes!

  • Is there a way to set a speed for an aircraft?

  • @ThePiper235 From the instructions: FlightID S [speed]

  • Can someone give me a little push with this? What are the base commands?

  • For those having trouble with missed approaches, you have to give the plane a good amount of space (and make sure it's not going too fast), get it on final (pointing straight at the end of the runway), and then give clearance to land. If it says "cleared to land" they should get it and land. If it says they're cleared to intercept, they may still get it, but that's the only situation in which I've had them have to go around.

  • lol, sorry, my internet is rubbish and I didn't let the vid load enough before I asked that. Maybe I should be more patient.

  • Does anyone know if you can instruct a departing aircraft to taxi into position and hold?

  • @Person012345 ABC123 H

  • im having a heck of a time trying to land these places... they don't seem to go the way i tell them too when i put in 270 for 27L ... it seems way off...... what am i doing wrong??

  • im having a heck of a time trying to land these places... they don't seem to go the way i tell them too when i put in 270 for 27L ... it seems way off...... what am i doing wrong??

  • pls help me! when i tell them to take-off, and when i told them already the altitude and where to fly after take-off, they don't take-off! nothing happens.. what should i do?

  • SO ADDICTIVE

BTW nobody mentions the EXPEDITE COMMAND here.

    ANYID c x ex

    were x stands for flightlevel.

You can make them climb and descend twice as fast when separation requires you to respond quickly.

Though its not very classy to do so for passenger comfort reasons. Differential pressure can bust your eardrums. :-(

  • Example:

    SWA177 s 180

  • can somebody tell me how to use the speed command for this please it would make the game a lot easier

  • Anyway to cancel departures? Too many of them sometimes.

  • I managed to cancel a departure with the abort command. The plane will disappear forever, though.

  • Thanks!

  • @Wookierabbit : only thing close is to select departure then abort {anyid a}

  • Landings:

Get the plane more or less in line with the runway, pointing roughly in the right direction, and then issue the "L" command.

If you still have trouble, take them as low as possible and as close to the edge of thr screen as possible, and issue the landing clearance out there. Once that starts working, you can gradually bring them in closer and higher.

  • how make a landing?

    -.-?

  • wondering the samething!!!!!!!!

  • please, how do you land the plane? thank you

  • i got everything buried into my head except for the go around nd cancel takeoff and stufff like that.

  • I have a question, what if the plane's heading is 2 degrees and i have to turn her right to line up into the runway, what do i do?

  • What about:

    ABC123 C 090

  • @lockeymisha

obviously lockeymisha was expecting to jump online and do the real thing with a free online game. setting yourself up for a lifetime of dissapointment there mate.

  • its just a game get over it lockeymisha

  • if u were real ATC this is what you would see and what you would do. very realistic i say except no sound XD

  • yep..

  • i had trouble making them land because in Japan, i tried telling them to land on 06L instead of just typing 6L. that might help some of ya

  • Ok, call me stupid! Ignore my last comment, 3000 ft was correct and my correction was incorrect. So again ignore it please.

  • Correction to last comment: Landing (L) can only be accepted if flt is at 2000ft not 3000ft as I post earlier.

  • If I remember correctly, you do not have to have perfect alignment to issue a land (L) command but you do have to have the flt at the most 3000ft, within 60 degrees of center line of run way and issue the L command sometime before the flt intercepts the airport. What that sometime is I don't remember but you get the hang of it very quickly. Just remember to stack correctly and setup your departs to leave between landings. Keep all flts at least 1000ft apart and you'll do fine.

  • For anglofin21:

    ANYID C 035 = Set course to 035 degrees

    ANYID C 3 = Cleared to 3,000 ft.

    ANYID C 12 = Cleared to 12,000 ft.

ANYID C OBK = Cleared to OBK (Northbrook) VOR station. set course to OBK.

ANYID L 27R = Cleared to intercept and land on runway 27R.

    Headings require 3 digits 040, 180, 270 etc

Altitude reqs 1 or 2 digits.

Use the keyboard to enter commands, examples above should give you a good idea on how and what to enter.

  • If your flt is on course to land and you do not issue a command to land or if the flt is too high to land the the flt will over shoot. It is then your responsibility to course correct and set up for the flt to land.

  • i dont no how to turn them to land

  • This didnt help!

  • can you tell me how to stop the planes from overshooting the runway?

  • turn them early enough.

So lets say a plane is 15mi out and landing on runway 9L. The plane is on a current heading of 180 (S) turn him/her to intercept the center line with a heading of 160 about 1 mile (estimate here) from the centerline.

Then give the plane a landing clearance and it should get it right on the runway.

This is how it is done in the real world:

FDX340 you are 9 miles from (FIX NAME) turn left heading 160 maintain 3K till establish. Cleared ILS Runway 9L app. :)

  • so what your saying is turning the plane to the heading 160 would be enough to intercept runway centerline?

  • Are you saying that the planes accept the "L" command to land, but then go around?

If so, take them as low as possible, and as close to the edge of thr screen as possible, and issue the landing clearance out there. Once that starts working, you can gradually bring them in closer and higher.

  • first you must have planes at 3000ft and then you must align them with the runaway

  • Or, if you mean that they don't accept the "L" command at all, then flyingzuchs has the right answer. Get the plane more or less in line with the runway, pointing roughly in the right direction, and then issue the "L" command.

  • most of the time, the airplanes are too high to descend fast enough, so you have to tour them around the airport till they reach the required altitude to land !

  • Keeps it interesting. If it were too easy, it'd be pointless and boring.

  • idk how to land the planes...

  • Line them up. Then, when they are at like 2 thousand feet (withen 3 thousand feet of the ground, at chicago o hare its 672 feet so around 2 thousand should be good) and then type [FLIGHTID] L [RunwayID]

  • this sim is cool but I think I would like it better if it had some kind of sound

  • @hodgeska Do a search for a new sim called ATCX, it has sound

  • @hodgeska What do you want? MSAW alarms? =p

  • It is a beautiful simulator!

But I´m too stupid to get aircrafts to land... e.g. at London I try to land them on RW 09R:

    LH1111 c 2

    LH1111 c WOD

LH1111 L 09R but they just fly on and do a crazy circel after passing the runway-centerline ?!?

    What am I doing wrong?!

  • Well, are you really typing a "0" in front of the "9"?

    It should just be LH1111 L 9R

  • aaaahhhhh ... yes, i tried it and it works only without the "0"...

    .. haha, Thanks!

  • 22,000 views+, wow my videos are nowere near that. Nice job! :D

  • is this anything like real atc's work. i am thinking about becoming one would this help or is this nothing like what they use?

  • I love this simulator! I would love to see one or two more airports added for free members :D:D:D:D PLEASE! lol

and umm I would love to see it expanded...like more complicated systems. Maybe intergration of ground control...or something. Idk :P

  • Wow! With very simple interface and controls, and very addicting game!

    Congrats!

  • very adictive i use to try before but not fancy becouse dont read about controls and now when i understand controls it pick me up spend lots time.

  • I really love your game!! I didnt have a paypal account. But 3 day's ago i requested a account just to donate you some bucks.

I can't wait to play my home airport!! Thanx

  • excuse my stupidity but haw do you receive arrivals, what string of commands do you use.

  • Clear them to a low altitude, send them to the downwind side of the runway you plan to land them on, and then issue the land command. For example:

    SWA113 C 2 Cleared to 2,000 feet.

    SWA113 C 080 Cleared to compass heading 80° degrees.

    SWA113 L 12R Cleared to land on runway 12R.

  • i try that but they don't respond, do they have to be 2000ft above the runway altitude?

  • Arrivals must be within 3,000 ft of ground level to accept a landing clearance.

  • i tried to issue a land command on downwind but it doesn't work, it only works when they are heading to be "established" on the localizer or alligned with the runway

  • > but it doesn't work

Well, do what works, then. :-)

  • yes...

  • Thank you but i was to stupid earlier to look on the website, thank you for replying

  • What a beautiful Simulator! You dont even need to install sth.

I play this at school when Im bored! 5*

  • Yea, I have been playing this for a while now too.

How come the speed command doesn't work?

Is it only for certain aircraft? Certain speeds?

Or do you have to be a member to control that? Or am I inputting the command wrongg???

  • Can you give an example of what you're trying? It should be something like:

    UAL123 S 180

  • OH!...I thought I read it somewhere where the 0 wasnt required...idk. Works now for me :P

  • WOW. this makes the game SOO much more easier. thanks :P

  • I've been playing this for a couple of months and really enjoy it. When I type "scale" the rings show up. Are these spaced at 3 miles and should this be the minimum separation? tnx good fun

  • the SCALE rings are 5 mile rings

  • I never knew you could position and hold with command "h" until I saw this. You should add that on the website instructions. Makes a worlds of difference. Thanks for the awesome game. I'm hooked!

  • I guess the H / PH command is only documented in the site news. Sorry about that -- will get it added to the instructions.

  • This helped a lot. Thanks :)
