@89teehee if you want to join the navy, make sure you like being out to sea alot. i just got out last year, its a great place to work really but there were days and nights i never got any sleep for quite some time. so it really depends if you want it bad enough. it was worth it for me though, the places i saw, people i met, friends i made, accomplishments i could have never done if i didn't join. im going to go national guard in a year, work with the army for some years.
So go flip your burgers, and contribute your chump change, and just know that no matter how much you think you contribute. You will never know the price that they paid for you. There might not be very many universal laws that every country must follow, but the united states has an extensive set of rules and regulations that soilders MUST follow, if the rules are broken said soilder risks pay docks, prison, and even death. Now you must also take in to account that it is war. Law's are usually general, because if too specific you would have a law book bigger than the library of congress.

@89teehee if you want to join the navy, make sure you like being out to sea alot. i just got out last year, its a great place to work really but there were days and nights i never got any sleep for quite some time. so it really depends if you want it bad enough. it was worth it for me though, the places i saw, people i met, friends i made, accomplishments i could have never done if i didn't join. im going to go national guard in a year, work with the army for some years.

@Santor6 There aren't very many laws in WAR. Theres the Geneva Convention for what you can & cannot do in war, but even then we aren't fighting an ARMY. We are fighting a bunch of radical muslims who use women & children as their own walking bombs, you cannot fight a conventional war versus retards who don't fight conventionally themselves. And you have the nerve to trash talk someone who serves their country & fights for a cause, while you sit home safely, its pretty weak & pathetic tbh

@sthvsnth wtf are you talking about? There are a ton of laws in war. There might not be very many universal laws that every country must follow, but the united states has an extensive set of rules and regulations that soilders MUST follow, if the rules are broken said soilder risks pay docks, prison, and even death. Now you must also take in to account that it is war. Law's are usually general, because if too specific you would have a law book bigger than the library of congress.

@Santor6 wtf are you talking about... army laws and rules are way harsher than civilian laws. go to the library of congress and read army regulations and laws. kill a civilian in cold blood you face life terms and even death... very few got off with 25 to 50 years in federal prison. you go awal and leave you post at a army compound over 30 mins without warning for any reason other than injury or death its call desertion and deserter are sentenced to death no exceptions with this one.

@frightner24 Oh, I did not know that. All I know that for military prison war cirimes in Abu Ghraib (you remember?) only two people are sentenced. One for 8 years of prison - probably will relesed for 3 and woman on photos sentencend for 3 year, relised after 1 year of prison. And that you call justice? And 300 people died due interrogation? Who cares. That is a real picture about US army justice.

@Santor6 if a soldier rapes a civilian or another service member they are discharged dishonorable and on many occassions sentenced to life in federal prison. the military has laws, very strict laws with very steep penalties. they have more to risk breaking a military law than you would breaking a civilian law get that fucking strait before you talk about soldiers. i shipout in 5 months as a combat engineer for the US Army. sit at your computer and badmouth us while we risk it all so that you can
