Well you and i must be looking at different videos. She (al least I think it's a she), is cycling along side the kerb, the bus passes her without issue and comes along side you as she cycles past you and stops by the stop line. At no time did the bus stop in front of her (or even get fully in front of her).
@stucky01 Perhaps you should continue to watch and then you will see that the bus pulls in front of her at the bus stop and she has to move around it!
@stucky01 She is in the incorrect place, and it did cause problems for her, the bus stopped right in front of her causing her to change directions suddenly. The bus should have stayed in the same lane as us and waited for us to clear the bus stop and then he could have stopped.
Perhaps if you were by the kerb and not at least a metre out, there wouldn't have been a problem. You seem to ride as if the entire nearside lane is yours alone.
I was warned in drivers ed (vehicle classes B and C=lorries over 3500kg) to not crush pedestrians or cyclists. So I find not much wrong with him using two lanes, as long as he does not crush vehicles on the other side.
Trying to squeeze his way to the front at the lights and the overtake-and-brake manouver were not so great, though.
The bendy busses in Vancouver do the lane straddling here too sometimes, I actually kinda like it for the traffic calming effect it has on the neighbourhood haha.. They don't overtake to cut you up though, I think they must get driving around bikes training. Nice 'scan my oyster card' comment lol
Concerned by the engine noises in the second part of the video Gaz - they sound very close - you haven't taken to make Brrrrooom noises as you cycle along, or worse, installed some power assist have you???
You could have just flipped open the hatch next to the door (0:49) and pressed the engine emergency stop button!

Testedacazzo & gaz, the lady cyclist in the green is in the right place, and funnily enough, the bus caused no problems to her.

@stucky01 I'm riding as taught by the national standards. If you think i'm cycling too far out, then learn how to cycle safely!

@stucky01 cyclists should be nowhere near the kerb, go educate yourself

That is rubbish driving! Traffic was stopped yards up ahead so he wasn't going anywhere!!

Your videos are great!
the front and rear angles makes horrifying viewing, especially in the case of the left hooks where you can see the car etc accelerate.
Did you send this to TFL?
They'll do nothing about it of course, but it just begins to give an edge to cyclists not being 2nd class anymore.
Cheers!

I'd forward a link to Go Ahead and see what they make of it....

I want to press that emergency door open button and give the driver a few choice words :-)

I've done just that in the past, and it really upsets the driver if you do!

Terrible, terrible driving.

Bad driving from the bus driver there, close on both accounts (near you and later the female cyclist).
I did laugh at the 'scan my oyster card' comment
