Well, this is simple. If the protesters want to do something so provacative as handing out condoms to people who are leaving Mass then maybe they are expecting and want confrontation. They also might get what's coming to them - not the proper venue for debate.

It is important to understand that not using birth control is a conditional command, so generally you will see only responsible wholistic Catholics adhere to that - the ones that marry and provide for their children.
