  • It's songs like this that make me so proud to be Catholic. Praise be to God and his Church! May God continue to bless the Church with overflowing graces and may the world one day realize the Way the Truth and the Life that Jesus has to offer, especially through the Body Blood Soul and Divinity present in the Most Holy and Divine Eucharist!

  • You know it's too bad stations like KLove only play his 'noncatholic' sounding songs which is why people are surprised when they find out he's Catholic.

  • This song gives me chill every time I hear it. <3

  • Hey all, if you play guitar, have Guitar Pro 6 software, and would like to have the sheet music for this song, I just uploaded it to Ultimate - Guitar dot com. You can find it there. :]

    God bless

  • How can you dislike a song like this? Really?

  • Amazing song!!! Good slide show. Nicely done!!! Praise our King!!!

  • Tantum Ergo was good enough. He didn't need to add all that stuff. haha. But he is amazing nonetheless.

  • questa è una antica melodia con cui si cantava il Tantum Ergo prima della Benedizione eucaristica

  • LOVVVE this!!! ...though I wish he did at least a verse of the Latin. :) I love Matt Maher, God bless him.

  • God is my one and only idol!

  • I went to a retreat this weekend and during adoration they played this song. I've been looking for it because when I heard it I broke down crying. Its so beautiful and it expresses His mercy and it blows me away and its just PURE GOLD. so so so so beautiful. Thank you God, for giving us this amazing man.

  • Can someone tell me what tune did he use for the verses??? I know its an offertory hymn, we sing it during Mass. I just can't remember, this song is AMAZING!!!! Thank God for Matt!

  • @Frankie1410 I know the first part came from Tantum ergo written by St Thomas Aquinas, but as for the rest I am unsure. I hope this helps some what.

  • @Frankie1410 The verses are form the Tantum Ergo. :)

  • @Frankie1410

    the hymn is "Tantum Ergo"

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heared

  • could someone pls tell me what's the title of the song? thanks

  • "Adoration"... The first 2 verses are an English translation of "Tantum Ergo", itself the last 2 stanzas of "Pange Lingua" - a hymn written by St. Thomas Aquinas for the Feast of Corpus Christi.

  • Awesome remake of a classic :) so beautiful

  • I love Matt Maher, he's got what many artists dont have: a mentality that says "I'll get out of the way and let Jesus do the rest."

  • i agree with you but im sorry to say you got that out of a song!! haha

  • Matt Maher rocks. nuff said

  • Jesus, Lamb of God, saving love for all Lord of heaven and earth, Father's love for all I bow to You Jesus, Lamb of God, saving love for all Lord of heav'n and earth I bow to You, bow to You, I bow to You Pour upon us, Lord of mercy Spirit of Thy selfless love Make of us one true heart yearning For the glory of thy Son Jesus, fire of justice blazing Gladdening light forevermore
  • wat are the lyrics?

  • Down in adoration falling This great sacrament we hail Over ancient forms departing Newer rites of grace prevail Faith for all defects supplying Where the feeble senses fail To the everlasting Father And the Son who reigns on high With the Spirit blest, proceeding Forth from each eternally Be salvation, honor, blessing Might and endless majesty
  • Thank you sir

  • you are very welcome.

  • I know slightly different lyrics but it's the same idea. thank you!

  • Thanks for posting! This is in my opinion the most beautiful Hymn of the Church. And Matt Maher interprets it so so well. Your pictures are also beautiful. This is a nice video to watch before saying compline or other night prayers.

  • Thanks for the compliments. :)

  • @tbraun84 It is. Although, I like the older version version, but there are only minor changes- mostly use of the word Lo. It's good though :)
