The playback from the WAV import is entirely muted. I need to redo this whole thing. How do I set it up so that the playback works? I'm using Windows 7.

found out. Freecorder sux xD Apperently it is very vital that you use Freecorder TOOLBAR :s

Use Audacity for record your song...and HyperCam if you want record the video of the tab...this is how I am making it

There are two ways that I know of:

1:

Download a software that records all sound leaving your computer. I used a free software called "Freecorder" (google it for download) to do so. Then simply activate the recording device while playing your song in Guitar Pro. The backside is that the RSE that Guitar Pro runs through eats a lot of your CPU power, so it might hack.

2:

Go to File>Export>WAVE and it will simply convert your GP5 file into a sound file.

Then just add your song into MovieMaker :)

I don't think you can, I haven't found a way anyway.

But one thing you can do is to export your song into a WAVE-file, import it into another program made for recording, and then add your vocals there. This is a great way of getting a drum-track into your song.

This is definitely a good song, sounds like something you'd hear on the radio. The high point is definitely the chorus, it really good, the only dry point is of course the verses but you said that where the vocals will go so its all good.
