  • I would be like...Oh Crap....Hang On....its going to be a bumpy ride....has anyone got some Tums?

  • Wow, you can actually see the trucks and shocks go up and down on the engines. Nice video :)

  • Lebanon, IN?

  • @rainingblood1488 Lebanon, PA

  • Forget horn signals, HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON!

  • I think the train actually moved more vertically than horizontally!

  • What horn was that? Not a Nathan..

  • @danwat1234 Probably an Leslie RS3L.

  • hold on to ur coffee!

  • nice dash 8!

  • @Francisco545Xixo

yeah i was expecting it too xD

  • Holy Shit !!! That is a wreck waiting to happen ! I can only hope this was remedied soon after your incredible catch here. Wow !!

  • WOW!!! Epic catch indeed!

  • like the horn but what is with all of the bouncing never seen it like from a loco i no we had a train track in lebanon oregon and when the locos had to ride on they couldent even drive fast on it or it look like they would botton out cause of how the rails where but now they have it all built looking nice but cool video

  • ...nice composition shot- hearkens of the utilitarian look-and-feel of the great industrial age... I miss those huge, larger than life factories.

  • Haha the engineer is gonna need a barf bag! :D

  • shes moving right along for that long of a train.

  • I like C40-8's & 9's better than wide cabs, thumbs up if you agree.....please :P

  • @DouglasP201 I'm totally agreeing with this statement

  • @lespaulguy32 I know right, but i was jk about the thumbs up xD

  • Thats when you stand up in there and just let your feet and ankles move to the shifting.

  • I would think some of the NS managers in Norfolk would have a shit fit if they'd seen this video as strict as they are.

  • Wow..never seen such a bumpy train before! Loved the horn!

  • holy shit ,derailment waiting to happen

  • They should open the ballast cars right there to fill in the spaces.

  • What are the string of faded orange NS hoppers at about 0:45?

Spartan cab Dash 8s are my favorite locomotive.

  • @epistte there ballast cars. POWER TO THE SPARTAN DASH 8!

  • Wow, what a bumpy ride! That RS3L sounds pretty cool.

  • Jesus Flipping Christ!

  • geez! I wouldn't be surprised if it jumped up in the air and started flying..LOL!

  • looks like that train is in Mexico....

  • Great Video. 5*

  • lazy section!!!!!!!!!

  • I would have looked at the pavement at the crossing there to see if there are any scrape marks...

  • Shweet.

  • weirdoz whistles sounds

aouchhhh!!!!! thankx god its just an unique defect whistles

they sound like europeans freight train

  • Wow, I bet engineer is wondering why there is no coffee at the cpffeecup any more and why it all is on his lap / floor...

  • Nice work. That horn sounds a bit funny.

  • You can see the dip at 0:06 at the closest crossing

  • Over here we call that cyclic top. The top and line has a series of dips and peaks. If these match the freaquency and harmonics of the vehicles suspension traveling over it, it can quite litteraly bounce the train off the track. It has happened! Lucky for NS its about 40 here and not 60!!

  • nice horn

  • hi, thanks for your movies ★★★★★

  • it looks they have car hydraulics. They were on the show Pimp My Train!

  • Don't you people have permanent way gangs over there? That road looks like a derailment in the making!

  • DAMN THAT LOOKS LIKE A FUN RIDE

  • Has NS heard of that thing, umm, oh what's it called, hmmmm, oh yeah A RAIL GRINDER!

  • Rail grinder wont do any good for that. A tamper is what you need. But with that many crossings, you'll get a rough spot or two. Besides, it adds for a bit of excitement.

  • I would expect that on CSX, not NS.

  • Haha yeah, but I don't think it matters what railroad you're on, if you have this many crossings in a row the tracks will become "spaghetti" quickly.

  • yeah but hey some shortline railroads are like that on there own with out crossings, and CSX TAKES GOOD CARE OF THERE RAILS!

  • @o00o00ozy The csx A-line has that, and Amtrak runs on it too!!! Well what do ya expect its csx with weeds growing in the tracks. Well theres alot of crossings on it so you can expect that to be the cause but ehh watevz.

  • @o00o00ozy You are correct on that comment. Mud is a problem on every railroad, and you can have the best drainage ditches in the world along side the track's, but it still will not prevent the water from seeping up through the subgrade& roadbed. With the tracks pumping up& down all the time when trains go over the track it will eventually make mud come up through the ballast.

  • @cu29640 You can expect track surface like this on every railroad reguardless of what name is on the locomotive. Drainage is always a problem around crossing's, and any where track's were layed on ground that once had water on it. You will never get rid of all the mud and soft surfaces. It has been a problem since railroad's were first built and always will be.

  • @cu29640 Its not the RR any rr can have that problem like Up or Bnsf and o00o00ozy is right that many crossings your in for a ride and if it was a hot day the road can expand.

  • Wow..Look at that $hit ! ....Them engines were bouncing more than booty at an ATL strip club!

  • I know, I was about to start throwing ones at the cpu screen. Its a real ride when you're on one when it does that. I've almost been thrown out of my seat a few times. CN engines dont ride worth a fuck.

  • LOL...Boy u crazy! :)

  • @7674Princess HAHA!!!

  • Sweeet video!

  • i saw that loco once Eric! not the number but the same loco, 8300, btw, does that train like to hump all the crossing?? i think so!

  • Eric, NS is using you as they're undercover agent.. lol

  • Nice to see a D8-40C. I caught NS 8310 a couple weeks ago in Decatur headin' south.

    -Lewis

  • Good news, track equipment is coming through soon. I guess they want to touch-up after seeing this, LOL!

  • who needs trampolenes!! :D

  • If I didn't know better I'd say this was on CSX...

  • It's a bumpy ride, but that doesn't necessarily make it dangerous. The reason for the bumps is the close proximity of crossings... there is enough track bed to keep the gauge in place and I don't think we have to worry about rolling a rail here... I imagine when summer comes they'll tamp it, etc, but the clean conditions don't last long. Trains do 40 MPH over this, though some crews probably lay-back. I understand your concern, though, it looks like one heck-of-a-ride.

  • lol that would be a fun ride

  • Are you thinking what I am thinking? ;-)

  • Someone's bartering for a Lebanon cabride :)

  • Oh you naughty boys!

  • @o00o00ozy I'm thinking arby's

  • bumpy ride going over the crossings

  • I love the long horn blast on the first train. Great shot.

  • You've got the same Canon as I, and you're doing wonderful things with it. Keep up the excellent train videos...especially any videos with the engines at notch 8!

  • lol i wonder the train doesn't derail!

  • Yes, it is incredible that this route is bumpy like many are in Brazil.

As for I saw, the huge masts remind the NYCRR or PRR tracks.

  • very bumpy ride i see.
