  • damn this band used to be awesome i miss the 90's

  • such a dirty intro

  • best song by this band, they hit the nail on the head with this one, great song, chorus just gets ya movin

  • To be honest the first 2 cds by OLP are the best. I've been a fan of these guys since they first came out and they have seriously lost their edge along the road. I mean honestly the last SOMEWHAT good cd they had was Happiness, and that only a had a handfull of good songs on it where as the previous 2 were great to the last song.

  • Back when I was into this album this was the track that had the most crossover appeal among non-fans. I swear it would have been a classic hit if OLP were American, or better known in the States in those days. Also chalk me up as one of those people that think this was their best album, though of course that's only my opinion.

  • by far the catchiest song they ever wrote, great

  • OLP you never stop amazing me (: thank you for that .

  • Why do people say they went downhill? Naveed isn't even that good. It's a good album yes, but I think Spiritual Machines is actually better

  • i agree clumsy cant be beat... a lot more songs worth listening to on it then any other. one hit wonders apart from clumsy...

  • this older stuff reminds me of Nirvana

  • @sitstandnow it's got the same vibe. It's definitely the bass line in this song

  • I banged my girlfriend to this song and she screamed for more. Behold the power of a song that beckons for the loins of the untamed.

  • They play a great show saw them in major outdoor venues (Edgefests) and small indoor venues (U of Guelph) and they used to play both with a lot of heart!

  • idc as long as they have Raine it's still our lady peace

  • Best wrong lyrics ever! Soup and salad night!

  • believe the first time i heard them was 94-95 range when they were still only being played in canada and i heard them on a station out of winnipeg (back when they still had a hockey team). there first album is till my favorite...

  • Everyone's blood is blue till it hits the oxygen O.o

  • thats a myth

  • one man in particular, he`s not what he seems, confused that his blood is blue, but it`s red

  • This is actually my first time listening to this song. I'm going to see OLP in concert tonight, so I'm trying to familarize myself with all their songs so I don't suddenly become "lost" when I'm listening to them! Lol. I want to know which songs they are playing:).

  • jst to let u know they prolly wouldnt play this song, b/c the guitarist that is playing here, quit... but how was the concert? im going to my first OLP concert this friday, so i wanna know what its like

  • It's pretty cool lizzuneverknow. I had a great time!! They played Superman's Dead, Clumsy, All you did was save my life, and others:). I went to see them in July though, so they probably changed up their setlist quite a bit:) lol. Have a good time, though!!! Let me know how you liked the concert!!:).

  • mike turner ftw!!

  • THey still play songs from all the Eras Mike turner was in.

Naveed, Clumsy, Happiness... and Spiritual machines

if that was the case they wouldnt be singing any songs. Raine Maida (the singer) is the ONLY original member remaining.

  • ohk... thanks for the update... (seriously, i dont mean that in that bitchy way)

i was suppossed to go to a concert of theirs, but they were sold out... :(

and wait one second, I thought Duncan and Jeremy have been there since the beggining?? unless ur referring back to when they were called "As If" when they first started

  • When they were called as if it was still mike and Raine.

Duncan was originally asked but wanted to finish school.

Jeremy didnt come in til i believe the second or third single of the "naveed" era, as at the time he was the youngest member.

I believe their drummer at the beginning was Jim, or that might have been the other bass player.

  • Nah, Taggart was always with them.

It's still too bad that Mike left though. He was the brains behind OLP. As soon as he took off, they went downhill.

    And fast.

  • @derdeb I always thought taggart came in just shortly after, their first music video doesn't feature taggart.

In my opinion im glad mike left. I agree w/ what Raine has stated. he suits CrashKarma

Ive loved OLP since I was 4.I currently just saw them again at Massey hall for Spiritual machines night. ive never seen OLP so together. They have definitely grown. Raine maida (as well as everyone else) are amazing, and their next record will be closer to naveed, they're slowly heading back to that.

  • lol wow this brings back old high school memories hahaha i love this song all over again i haven't heard it until the other day on the radio and remebered it lol

  • It's funny to come across this video again, and equally funny to see that my comment is only a few down the list! Please share when you listened to this song/album most!

  • actually this is from my least favourite of the OLP albums, so I didn't listen to the album much -- but this song, "dirty walls", and "denied" (that was my favourite song for a long while) I listened to a lot about 4 years ago. I've been a fan of OLP since 5th grade (about 8 years ago) :)

  • how can this be your least fav? the new stuff sucks! I bought this CD when it came out. they went down hill from there:(

  • They went downhill after this? lol, dude this was their first album. So, what, they pretty much suck aside from this one CD, then? Okay. And how can it be my least favourite? Easily. It just is.

Sorry I have different tastes to you; I just don't find any of this album particularly musically interesting. I didn't like their Healthy in Paranoid Times CD so much either, for the same reason (though the CDs have completely different sounds/feels). My favourite CD is probably Clumsy. That's just me.

  • Yeah, I know this was there first album. I bought it after hereing them on Power 97 in Winnipeg when they were getting popular. Clumsy was OK but then it fell to shit. Thank Chantel and pure marketing.

  • no it doesn't....get your head straight...

if you've been making music for 15 years, it's hard to keep up...

hell, olp is making good music for how long they've been doing it for...

you should listen to paper moon, monkey brains, where are you?, and the right stuff (again if you know it) and tell me those are shit songs, because they're really good songs..

and burn burn (though it's my 1st) is a good "comeback" album imo

  • I'm glad you have your own opinion. Burn Burn sucks. Now it's all about marketing. They are doing well if people like you are buying that stuff. The new stuff is boarder line emo.

  • Word -- they either had to make good music or go to the U.S. They did what they had to do.

As for musically interesting, I'm more of a traditionalist I guess. As soon as they started breaking out the horrendous, and in my opinion very basic, keyboard licks I had to stop listening. Raine's voice changed quite a bit and I couldn't handle the change. I still have this album and will wear it out before I get old, but I'm no longer an OLP fan.

  • Very true. Well, we can still listen to the old stuff. We'll leave the new stuff for the younger plastic generation.

  • @AnotherAlexChannel Dont agreed with you at all, yeah their new stuff rocked, but their new stuff doesnt suck. In case you didnt know, artists have to change and make new music. If you cant accept that, too bad for you.

  • When he says "I've read Dylan" I think he means the work of Dylan Thomas the famous poet. Bob Dylan was thought to have changed his last name after being a fan of the very same Dylan Thomas.

  • wow, did not know that! Thanks :)

  • @callmejake22

I think your right...in fact "our lady peace" comes from a poem and i would guess it to be one from Dylan Thomas. Raine is big on poetry!!

  • @sweiger10

The poem Our Lady Peace was actually written by Mark van Doren. Though personally my favour falls with Dylan Thomas, MvD is a brilliant poet, look into him!

  • those are some supaaaaaa satellites.

    bwahahaha, great song tho.

  • Well synched... when did you first get into this song? This is ANCIENT to me!

  • XD :P That was so lame.. that it actually amused me.. <3 :)

  • Tanks for posting man, Awesome tune!!

  • I READ DYYLAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • i love...everything? lol, yeah, and beyond.

  • I love the intro in this song.
