I wonder what sort of call was this cop on?..He really shouldn't have attempted to overtake the driver until he knew it was safe to do so. Yes, she was at fault technically, simply because the police have a way of assigning blame to save their own asses..Just because the driver didn't see a cop coming at warp speed, she shouldn't be ticketed and should sue the Tigard Police Dept.clearly, This was the COP'S FAULT!!

@308stoner Agree completely. Cop is the blame here for driving at crazy speed on local roads and not slowing down when he sees the car in front hit the brakes AND gives signal to turn left. Clearly reckless driving by the cop. Can a cop drive at any speed hitting innocent drivers just because they didn't give way? I think not.

Cop had lights on, and the civvy driver turned in front of the cop. I saw brake lights on the civvy car, but no left turn signal. (I watched the film frame-by frame several times but saw no turn signal) Cop clearly saw brake lights of the car ahead, and had every right to expect the driver to be pulling over to the right and stopping, as required by law. Cop did have his foot on brake (see the "B" character in the upper corner) ready to stop.

That's what those bright red and blue lights mean on the top of their car. Those are saying "Get the fuck out of the way, we are dealing with an emergency." What's this every day stuff? I don't hear of many police vehicles getting into car accidents like this one.

@Kykle86 I agree with all you have put on here. This officer was in the right of way while the driver of the other car was in the wrong. And tubefreak90, I am a police officer in training and this was properly done. I have been in a police car while responding to an emergency, this is how officers get somewhere when someone needs help. The officer was correct and also did brake before getting near the other driver. Officer is correct. Other driver should be ticketed 65 years old or not.
