Hey there looks fun, got myself a 94 frontera sport 3 months ago what depth of water would you say it can handle before needing any modifications? and is there anybasic mods i can do to increase its water depth?
To be honest my fronty is pretty standard + that was the only day I have ever taking it to a serious offroad track.
However, as you can see the water got quite high + none of it got inside. The standard air filter is waterproof but I saw a fronty with a snorkel there which looked like a simple mod. I have removed the waterproof housing and added a K&N filter but had no problems with it at that depth...
Another way to increase wading depth would be a suspension lift...

I'm afraid not, I had to sell the fronty but when I get round to getting a defender i'll be back :D
