  • ...classic :)

  • LA MEJOR CANCIÓN QUE HE ESCUCHADO!!!!!

  • Geez, this is my favorite version and I never hear this version on the radio anymore.

  • I want to look this version PV !!!!!

    Do you know ?

  • the best version!!! great!!!

  • i Like this version =)

  • This version is the worst... Sad this one even was remixed....

Just listen to the 87' album version or the original one on Saints and Sinners... But this one... WTF ?

  • I'm used to hearing the 1987 album version but I really like Dan Huff's guitar on this one, dig the short Intro and solo.

  • I actually did not know this version even existed until I heard it on LITE FM the other day. I am so used to the other version, but I actually liked this one just as much

  • Do you know how HARD it is to find tyhis version on the internet. Its all the wuss twinkly slow intro version... This version is the ONLY version.

  • The 80's were it...the best time in our American culture...I am ageless when I hear the music from this era... how lucky we were to be around then...such as small period in history, compared to the last 10,000 years...

  • this is the pop version...and i like it better than the album version

  • I love this version!Make`s me feel so powerful this music!!!

  • this version sucks compared to the original

  • i actually enjoy this version over the CD, the vocals are brought out much stronger

  • I like this version! Thanks!

  • Dann huff played on this. that makes it cool :) i like the 87 album the best though with john sykes

  • One of the best songs ever. Always gets me in a great mood. Just that voice. Glad to see the inverview w/Tawny Kitaen last week. Hopefully she told the truth about no drugs for Coverdale. Said she wasn't ready for that marriage to end. Too bad.

  • I could listen to this version everyday :D

  • this is the kind of music you need for the gym especially on a treadmill

  • I truly really like both versions, though the '87 album version is the best. This one is a good alternate take. I disagree with the "too poppy" criticism. There is a difference between a song being too poppy, and being very bright (musically) and melodic. This one is bright and melodic.

Stuff today tends to be over-produced and poppy. This isn't like that.

  • ..too "poppy"? lol... the 80's was full of pop hits ! and bright colors and hair bands... and glam rock!.. 80's was pure synth pop :)

    ..both versions are great :)

  • I like this version the most, although I've listened to the original version, both are okay in my opinion.

  • 1987 album version is the best. This has too much that random synth-piano sound. It doesn't fit this song. The string synth is OK but not that pop-piano if you know what I mean. The intro of the album version is great. This should have more guitars and less synth. It's just too pop. 1987 guitar solo is better too. And that choir sucks.

  • @MaggaraMarine They tried to make it danceable, and way too poppy. The blaring keys in that after-chorus bridge ruin that part of the song. Great lyrically though

  • キャッチーで聞きやすいね

  • THIS IS THE BEST HARD ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME. ^_^

  • see you soon in Belgrade! Pozdrav svim ljubiteljima grupe "Vajtsnejk"

  • @MarkoDasic jos malo buraz.... :)))

  • This was my favorite song when I was 8 years old in 1987. The radio version is the best version of this song. It ROCKS as the rock album version is too slow to start to be a hit. It's funny as Whitesnake released this in 1981 and it didn't chart.

  • I absolutely looove this song! :)

  • this is the best version and was on the uk whitesnake 87 cassette and 7inch i had...

  • this is the the one!

  • was looking for this version, tks for posting! \m/

  • This version is more AOR and pop .

  • nice man

  • g

    ood viedeo

  • It has the "UMPH" in some places and missing it others.... Still like it though!

  • this is the one that was always on the radio here in the UK

  • awesome band and song

  • Its not all BAD, The melodies were great, its a very shortened g/s but it was a damn good version. High Energy from the beginning and didn't drag on before it picked up tempo. Coverdale has been very lucky to work with some very talented musicians, they made HIM and WHITESNAKE a boat load of money and gave us so awesome music to enjoy. You may not like how he done things, but he can damn sure belt out some kickass lyrics!

  • Grew up with the video version, glad I did, this was terrible.

  • Is Dann Huff on guitar

  • ana peric pozdravlja ovakvu vrstu zabave :))

  • @amorettiful pozdrav za anu!!!

  • Wow, this version is BA, but the solo is kind of disappointing...

  • Out of the three I like the 2nd the best. Nothing compares to John Sykes guitar playing. And Vandenberg plays the solo on that version also.

All three are really good but John Sykes is the man on that second version. His vibrato is hands down the best ever!!

  • @marcusdolby1 Agree! Sykes' style is unique. The second version has much more power, this version it's too plain & simple for me. I don't know why someone thought it would succeed on the radio in the US.

  • There are 3 versions of this song - the 1982 original, the 1987 redone album version, and this one which was actually released in 1988 for the radio. The radio edit is a different recording than the others, and is slightly faster tempo with more emphasis on keyboards. I like both versions but this one has a somewhat better arrangement, IMHO.

  • I like this version better than the keyboard intro one.

  • @GreySkyShades ditto

  • I heard this when I saw Rock of Ages and now I can't stop listening to it.

  • This version is much better for those times you need a "charge forward" sound to what you're listening to... Great for cruisin down a 2 lane road with the top down on a sunny day... The original version has its place in my collection too, suited best for the times when you're sittin around chillin n mourning on the good times you had but now have to work past and move on...

  • This version smokes the album version in every respect.

  • @PrinceOfEternos83 My opinion exactly !!!

  • agreed

  • Thats weird how they call this the US radio version, I live in the US and usually hear the better known version and have only heard this on the radio a handful of times. I got this version on a compilation called Heart of Metal Volume 2. I like the other one better.

  • This is ok but nothing compares to Sykes Vibrato. Huff is a good player but Sykes did something special to this song with his amazing talent.

Sykes is a conceded ass............ but hes got the best vibrato ever. Damn good player.

  • Denny Carmassi on drums (Montrose, Hagar, Heart). Perfect sound and feel for 1987.

  • Comment removed

  • better than the original...

  • This is Music!

  • lovely song

  • long live hair rock!!!!

  • This version is ok... i remember it when it was playing on the radio all the time in the late 80's. I gotta say though, I like the first remake better, John Syke's guitar work is what made this album. The radio 'remake' with Dan Huff feel like it lost all its balls. Way to much keyboards sprinkling with wussy guitar work .. yuk.

  • he changes hodo by drifter... why?

  • Comment removed

  • David Cloverdale changed the lyrics because of concerns that the audience would hear 'homo' instead of hobo.

  • @alejandrolarocca : Executives where worried that "Hobo" would sound too much like "Homo" to US Audiences.

  • This version owns the original.

  • great song

  • mi amor por ti keli es imcreible la verdad es que te amo tanto y es como dice su tiltulo aqui estoy de nuevo

  • @rusell555 la letra dice "aki voy otra vez...... por mi cuenta" LOL

  • This has to rank as one of my favorite all-time songs.

  • I understand the purity of the original version... But dammit this version ROCKS.

  • Been lookin for that version for ages... much much better than the original version. David Coverdale.....his voice rocks.

  • This version is HORRIBLE. It's as if Wilson Phillips kidnapped Whitesnake and took a giant rainbow colored dump all over the original.

  • Q: Who was/is the weakest guitarist David Coverdale played with?

    A: Reb Beach.

Q: Who was/is the second weakest?

    A: Dan Huff.

  • Thanks for uploading! Great song to listen to at any time!

  • here i go again on my own....um not wasting no more time....whitesnake simply awesome...

  • Awsome 80s Radio :D

  • This version was recorded by Dann Huff, Denny Carmassi, etc. -- I agree the best version.

  • This version is more pop than orginal but is still great.

  • jesus :34 and :38 Doug looks like he was born to play on the stage with Coverdale!!

  • I have loved this version ever since I heard it. :) Thanks

  • What did the drummer get on his I.Q test ?

    A.. Saliva

    Ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaa

    Great driving tune this

  • Album version is a lot better.

  • both are great but i still like the original better...but this version is faster and I like that......

  • this version is SO much better than the album version. the keyboards add a nice mellowing touch

  • this song Rocks I love this version

  • Awsome I love this version ROCK ON

  • Right now, I'm listening to this version the first time - man, it's AWESOME! This INTRO! Sublime, unbelievable! The whole version KICKS ASS!!! :-) AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!

  • fantastic song

  • Great! This is 3rd arrange version. I prefer this than original/1987 album version.

  • @e1egyiceh0use The '87 version isn't original the '82 version from the "Saints & Sinners" is the original and the best as it had Jon Lord, Micky Moody, Bernie Marsden, Neil Murray, Ian Paice, and of course David Coverdale. The original Whitesnake. That is my opinion.

  • merci de l envoi. je prefere la version originale de 82'!! chacun ses gouts! celle-ci est plus violente mais l emotion manque. le morceau reste excellent malgré tout!

  • This is just a perverse raping of White Snake's truly amazing song. It's meant to have guitar in it as well... that synthesizer crap ruins this song.

  • Agreed.....this radio edit version is much more update. Both versions are excellent, but I listen to either one depending upon the mood I am in. Whitesnake is an awesome band.....Coverdale Rocks!!

Thank you for posting this gem form '87.

  • I find this version better than the studio one. Love the way the intro kicks right into it. Adds a whole different feel to the song. awesome !

  • Me too, sometimes radio edits are just better

  • This is music.

FUCK YOU AMY SKANKHOUSE. STUPID TALENTLESS CRACKWHORE.

  • Yea, I guess you're right.

  • 0:13

Does anyone else think that logo has quite a large resemblance to the new Bon Jovi one??

  • Brilliant track. Always a pleasure to listen to, one of the best tracks from '87.

  • This song is has so much energy ... so much life, and it makes me feel 20 years younger ---- and I just turned 55. Ah, what the hey!

  • So your saying you must use male enhancement now?

  • I love this song. Man, good memorys, this song would come on when I was working on painting the jeep, along with a few other great classics, and I would be so drawn in.

  • Hear I go again, I love listening to this song:)

  • oh the 80's hair...let me tell ya

  • Actually I'm kinda working on that...because of Whitesnake :D

  • This is my least favorite of the three, and I'll tell you why: It's played too fast. I've always held this song close to me, and I think the meaning comes out better on the 1982 blues rock version.

  • Best version hands down.

  • AGREE!!!

  • best version

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • Sounds more slick, mainstream but cool AOR...and Mr. Dan Huff did a great job! Cheers!

  • Comment removed

  • There's just more fluidity with this version, plus you can hear more keyboard.

  • i like this version better than the first 2. i turn it up loud and jam with my guitar to it helll yes

  • GOD I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT, thank you man ive been all over youtube lookin for this version. not bad pics neither. Great Job...

  • I am so glad somebody finally posted this version.

  • Me 2 I like both but this is my fave

  • Ahh.. i was just laughing at there haircuts... just awful haha... but great song tho

  • jezus wat een haar..... ga eens naar de kapper met die matjes...hahahaha

  • Everybody said I was nuts when I kept telling them that the video version of this song was NOT the only 'new' version. I've been telling people for years that there was another version with keys and a much more smooth, melodic guitar solo, but no one believed me. Jackasses. I dig some things about both songs, but this one has by far the best solo.

  • u can get this version on one those greates hits cd`s just make its ( radio version)

  • This version is AWESOME...it's strange, because it is definitely softer, but then it strangely feels heavier...

  • Definitely the best version of this song!

  • @MrGreykiller I totally agree.

  • Is there a music video for this? This version is my fav but haven't seen a vid for it yet.

  • ... I don't think there ever was a video for this particular version. The only vid for this song seems to be the one featuring Tawny Kitaen and the Jaguar; the version of the song in that is from the Whitesnake '87 album. I could've swore there were two versions of that video though - one that shows Adrian Vanderberg playing the entire guitar solo... but the one w/.Tawny changes scenes away from the band when the solo comes on.

  • Thanks. As I type I have the "USA radio version" blasting in the headphones. YEAH!!!!!

  • they don't have a music video for this version. but they do have the video for the version on the whitesnake album and another from the original version of the song made in 1983 which sounds a little different but its a little softer than this version

  • LOL.. this version gets played on the top 40 stations like CHUM FM...Wasn't this song originally released in the UK like 5 years prior to this? I remember seeing some video on MM where it went much slower and showed a much younger, pre-glam version of Coverdale

  • ... yes... first version was much slower and featured a Hammond organ - no digital DX7 synths... and the lyric, "like a drifter I was born to walk alone" originally went, "like a hobo I was born to walk alone".

  • ... released in 1987 only for American radio stations, but was included (along with "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again" ) in the European version of Whitesnake '87, hence the addendum, "Here I Go Again - '87 Radio Mix-Edit". ;)

... musicians on this version were: Dann Huff (Giant) : all guitars; Denny Carmassi (Heart) : drums... typically unnamed studio bassist and keyboardist were also on this cut.

  • Thank you for posting this! IMO, this is the far better version of this rock classic. Every time I hear this tune, I have to blast it.

  • Me too - this has to be loud. OHHHH YEAH

  • I can relate to the song. I never know where I am going. I can remember where Ibeen most of the time and i kinda just drift along. As for which version i like best. Its a toss up between version 3 this one, and the one off of Saint's & Sinners I like the Solo on this one and the backing vocals on this one. But Coverdale put more heart in to his vocals in the original in my opinion so i like that one 2. As for the version known as 87 Cool music vid, but distant 3rd to the other 2 versions.

  • The first version of this song is on their 1982 Saints & Sinners album.

  • great voice

  • ROCK ON

  • oh my god i love this version so much better!

thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • THE BEST VERSION thank you!!!!!!!

  • Over-produced! But smooth!

  • i didn't know there were three versions to this song i love this one out of the other two this song rocks on!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this version much better than the first this rocks

  • @paulac1258 The other one doesn't have the beat all the way through like this, I agree.

  • this version is ok...the second one really rocks!!!!

  • Yep three version. This one, the original (1982) and the hard rock album version i think. This is the single version released in the US as i understand.

  • i dont think theres three i looked really hard and only came with 2 versions

  • Is the album hard rock version the one used for the band's official video for the song in 1987? Because the video song seems a little harder-edged than this one. I like this version better! :)

  • but i thought there were only TWO versions, this one (the us re-release version) and the original

  • so much better than the original version

  • this rocks i love this version

  • The person who made this video.......thank you very much!! Such a beautiful well thought and well made video.......

  • Third Version?

    theres more than 2 versions?

  • Thanx, I was looking for this!

And I happen to love the keyboard part *cheese*

But all in all it´s rockier I think

  • Definltely My Favorite Version Of This Song!

  • me encanta...

  • exelente version

  • This version is better...I love this song...

  • I grew up with this version so ive come to like the most out of all three. The guitar solo is so tastefull and the backing vocals really complete it.

  • 'Twas recorded at the same time. The original version of 1987 was released in the US and a few months later this version hit the UK.

  • this version is okay. I don't like the keyboard part, and i wish coverdale had done the scream at the end of the bridge like in the other version. i do like the solo and the intro though.

  • the best version

  • this is the fuckin best version man, awesomeness!!!

  • @johnplay78 totally agree!

  • this song is awesome

  • When was this version recorded?

  • some time in the early 90's, 92 i think

  • man thanks for this video. it was actually recorded in 1986-87 due to appeareance of this version in Now Thst's What I Call I Music Vol.10 in 1987.

  • Thanks a lot for the post "I finally found what I was looking for"

  • This is my favorite version of this song. Thanks for posting...It has the back up singers in the background.

  • This version isn't to bad. I've heard the others so many times that the change is nice

  • You people are idiots. I can't believe you think this is the best version. Vandenberg's solo blows away this version. And I don't really like the additional keyboard parts in this one at all. The intro to the album version is also missed here. I would say this is just a half-baked version of the real deal.

  • This version rocks!

  • Yup,heres the superior version. This should have been the 1 released in the uk instead of the sterile watered down version, but the vid was good.

  • watch the episode of still standing "still changing". this is the version Bill listens to in his "manfort"!
