  • Sifu Tam Hoy's video has been my inspiration to continue practicing Tai Chi. As a dedicated third year student of this art, with no quality classes to attend during the winter months, I rely on his DVD to keep me focused on correctly flowing through the 108 postures ... slowly, smoothly, naturally, effortlessly. Someday I WILL accomplish that. Thank you

  • I have purchased these dvds of sifu and it has made a huge difference to my practice,I would reccomend it to anyone serious about developing the internal arts

  • Better than most.

  • this is great... but what happened to part 2 ????

  • Very Smooth, Relaxed,, Yet Powerful Looking!!! Thank you.

  • Beautiful to watch. It is amazing how beautiful the human body can be when performing taiji. The music is great as well.....wish I knew what the name of it...

  • Great music!

  • This is a very nice form indeed. We can see that he feels well what he does.

  • fighting without fighting indeed!

  • I have just started to learn this form and find it very useful, slow and give's guildess to the following step, excelt thank you

  • Like this. No frills tai chi. :-)

  • I have been doing this form for two years now and have only just started to feel the "flow of energy" within it - you can feel the energy flowing from one movement to another with Sifu Peter Tam Hoy and it is such a great pleasure to watch, learn and hope one day that might be me!!

Thank you so much for sharing this.

  • I love it, but I don't like the music.. :(

  • Great video that expresses the true energy of this !!

Amazing setting to learn in too.

  • What a great place to do Taijiquan! Excellent form and great music. Thank you Sifu Tam Hoy for this great video!

  • Hadouken! A fireball comes out!

  • Ottimo! grazie di aver condiviso il video di questa perfetta esecuzione

  • hi, sorry for my comment, i think it was just a visual effect about the movements of your dress, it seems a little...unreal but it's ok. Of course you don't need it. You practice the fast form with so much lightness. In that video you are in the middle of the second part isn't it?

  • good style, it's a pity that video is in slow motion. why?

  • Awesome! It'd also be cool if someone could make a version of this with the names of the forms appearing at the bottom of the screen or something. That would make it easier for students to find specific forms in the video for reference.

  • such a wonderful performance! so relaxing to watch and graceful to see. this perfornace is truly meditation in motion. if you want to learn how to do the 108 posture taichi this is the video to watch! i have not seen any body do it better!

  • That is so beautiful, the perfect balans between spirit and body.

I am started to learn this long form at the class of Sensei Marc in Antwerp/Belgium.

There is for me still a very long way to go.

Thank you for sharing this videos

  • Do you sell DVD?

  • Absolutely beautiful !

I want to learn from you but it is too far ~~~

    I'm in NYC

  • This really is nice to see and very helpfull

  • Me gusto muchiso gracias

  • You have a very nice flow my friend. I love it!

  • @taijispirit1 Thanks a lot! you dont know how much I apretiate this help! :)

I'll see if I can get the book (I'm from Argentina, so its kind of difficult )

    Thanks for everything!

  • @taijispirit1 Thank you a lot for the info!

One more question, Right now I'm not able to start taking classes of Taijiquan with a master, but I found a book for learning this 108 Long form, is "self-tought oriented" and explains in 105 lessons each movement of the form, with photos.

Do you think that with that book, this video as a visual demonstration and hard work, I can be able to start practising by myself, till I take classes? or should I wait untill I can take classes to start practising?

  • Amazing!.. I'm about to start learning Taijiquan, but I'm a little confused with the styles...

I saw a video of the "Long 103 Form Yang Chen-fu" but is diferent of this "Long 108 Form Yang Style" so, ¿what's the nominal name for this 108 form? ¿Who made this version of 108 form?

I would apretiate so much your answer!!! (or anyones who knows)

  • Thank you so much for your information!

  • this is the style I did for 3 months years ago - there are so many variations of Yang - is this a specific form of Yang style?

  • thank you very much for the COMPLETE FORMS.. a lot of forms from other sifu were incomplete. you are one of only two people who are unselfish enough to share. the other one is fu zhong wen. the rest post only part one.

  • Seven minutes and nineteen seconds of one continuous, flowing movement. Remarkable.

I noticed at some points the body appeared to tilt backward or side to side. Is this intentional? I thought this would be bad form, but it all looks so natural here.
