  • I love your ninths. Gives me chills every single time.

  • I particularly love the care you take on the suspensions...accenting the dissonance and leaving the resolution to trail off; absolutely beautiful.

  • i <3 your countertenor!

  • Who is that soloist? Perfect diction. Clear notes. Beautiful & Handsome tones all. I love when young men can calmly get together around a solemn piece.

  • tell me u guys r fing professionals!!!!!! this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You guys sound so awesome on this. Great job!

  • I would love to hear a rendition of "Prayer of the Children" from you guys.

  • that was so beautiful. one of my favorite songs by Billy Joel WOW great job guys.. make a CD

  • Beautiful resonance.

  • nice, one of the few renditions on you tube that actually has any dynamics in it

  • this is amazing, the harmonies mesh together so well

  • You guys are awesome--I love how you really hang onto the dissonant parts. Just wish the acoustics of the recording were better. But this is so far my favorite version of this song on youtube.

    Keep singing guys!

  • Great job guys.

  • Absolutely great!

  • I am trying desperately to find a way to give you 10 stars. That was EPIC. Is this a new group at Goshen, or just a very happy coincedence that these 8 voices happen to be on campus at the same time? I suppose it could be considered a happy coincedence either way :)

Brilliant stuff. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

  • I sang this song in high school. I got the duet part at the end of the second solo. I've been looking all over the internet for a group that sang it at the great quality and emotion we did. I found it here. Thank you so much.

  • I've listened to a number of Youtube videos of this song and this version is as good or better than the Kings Singers. Fabulous blending of voices!

  • I agree that's it's amazing, but as good as the King's Singers... I don't think so. I'm yet to hear anybody who can match Stephen Connolly's bass.

  • This is brilliant, you guys are great! Thanks for this brilliant music.

  • me and my friends are starting a group soon and being a bunch of Juniors and seniors in high school this is truly an inspiration

  • HELP!!! Can anybody tell me how to get the notes of this piece EXACTLY the way it is sung here (and by the King's Singers)?

I only got the regular Hal Leonard Edition, and I miss the background voices that are being heard from the 2. verse. PLEASE!!! I simply don't have the nerves to hear and write them all by myself.

  • My favorite Billy Joel song, a beautiful arrangement guys! very well done!

  • i love watching all yalls videos. im thinking about doing some kind of choir in college at Texas Christian University. First year of choir was senior year. makes me want to stick with it.

  • This is full of awesomesauce

  • superb.

  • this is wonderful!! i cryed

  • You guys are absolutely amazing

  • P.S. Y'all should try some Eric Whitacre. I can only imagine how good you would sound.

  • @Squinter501 Whitacre is a genius. My choir (Yellow Door Choir, Montreal) just did Rakút; what exquisite music!

  • @Squinter501

    Eric Whitacre is amazing!

  • This is one of the most beautiful renditions I have heard to date. Are y'all in High School, college? What? A is there a CD I can buy?

  • Goshen College. I think a lot of us are waiting 4 dem 2 announce a CD.

  • this is beautiful. made me cry.

  • god this is so beautiful. guy groups should take over the world.

  • You should sing "Jenny Rebecca". That's a song you would probably own too.

  • guys that's awesome. My girlfriend's choir are currently singing it too. It's a beautiful song.

The soprano probably just sounds like that because of the frequencies a microphone picks up.

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful!

  • Great, great, great! Abebe is simply the best!

  • an amazing arrangement, and an amazing group of voices, but just a tad tenor/soprano?? heavy at times

  • Tenor. If you listen (not implying that you didn't) you can hear the two or three base/baritones that they have. It is a nice balance I think.

  • You all are fab!

  • :O wow mr. gingerich.

    love it.

  • probably the most beautiful rendition of this song that I've heard. incredible harmony.

  • is this the SATB arrangement???

  • I've covered And So It Goes. Come and take a look at it. Please comment.

  • This is another of my favorite songs in the whole world. My choir at school, the ovation one, did an arrangement of it and they butchered it because the tenor was horrible. But this... this was wonderful. It made me think of the Kings Singers (who did my favorite all time version of it). Brava!

  • My high school chamber choir did this arrangement, but with a coed group. So much love for this piece.

I'm hearing an extra tenor line that I have never heard. (It seems to be just on an "oo".")Whattup with that?

  • Fantastic ... I'd love to figure out who is singing which line but the video is not sharp enough! My assumption is that the countertenor is the second fellow from the right, the little guy in the purple shirt - yeah?

  • You guys actually remind me of Chanticleer. I do not say that lightly. Absolutely superb!

  • I started crying. :)

  • Fantastic

  • Freaking amazing

  • If you are going to produce another song, consider this concept as underpinning all your work. I find it difficult to see in the video who is singing which part? Who is "Mr Counter tenor"?. The Kings Singers (and you come bloody close?) did a similar thing where they introduced the audience to the various singing pitches (alto, tenor, baritine bass etc and aligning the voices to the faces. Any how, Way to go? Next stop pro. singing? Whatever happens, do not stop please.

  • Well - Here I am at the 100th viewing of this song & it still sounds bloody fantastic! Don't take too seriously the critical comment re conducting etc. In fact dont change a damm thing. If you had a CD I would buy 2 - all for me. This rendition is known in our house as " Dad's Crying song" largely due to me blubbing like a baby when I hear it.

  • Wow! Great job guys. I love your blend!

  • VERY Beautiful. I'd recommend work on the conducting, as it really isn't necessary. You guys should be able to sing on your own without conducting. Just practice at it. What my choir did is they closed their eyes and sang it without direction. It sounds MUCH more beautiful that way. I think relying on a director for even a small bit undermines the true quality of the sound you guys can produce. Nonetheless, very good.

  • Yeah as in Seventh Day Adventist lol

  • Magnificent singing, guys. So many groups end up dragging through the middle, but your pitches and tempo were close to perfect!

I started listening to you a few months ago, and always enjoy your music. Thanks so much.

  • Solid!! Are any of you guys SDA?? or single?? lol

  • as in seventh day adventist? because i found that random being one myself and seeing it posted here

  • that was......wow

  • WOW!!!! My choir attempted this song... but my oh my, YOU guys are so wonderful!

  • WE didnt do to bad but ya this is wonderful

  • Who ever you are Mr. Countertenor I would suggest you follow singing in a group like this as a career. Your tone and accuracy is such that it would be easy for you to sing for a group such as the King Singers, Chanticleer, Cantus or any other well known a cappella group. Actually, you all are pretty butt. I'd love to see you live. Do you do concerts in Goshen?

  • That countertenor is a badass.

  • totally agreed :-) This whole group is amazing :-) Are they seriously in high school?!??! maybe they're in college... either way, they're still great!

  • They don't look like a high school group. Or sound like one.

  • wow! you guys have a really good sound. i havnt heard a sound like that in a while. when i hear you guys i think of the kings singers. good work, keep it up.

  • This was amazing! is this the Bob Chilcott arrangement? and is this the original key?

  • fuuuck that tenor doing the wee overtone line at the start is resonant!

  • GD. i was reading that comment wondering what the hell you were talking about, until i heard it! uncontrollable shivers!! :D

  • breathtaking

  • dang. that was AMAZING!!!!

  • Absolutely gorgeous. Are there any recordings to buy?

  • Glorious! Thankyou.

  • Mmmmm second best only to the King Singer's themselves!!

  • good technique and blend

I love this song cause its lyric so deep and meaningful

    keep on singing guys!

  • Nice

  • God's own choir!

  • Awesome!

  • You are the best!!!

  • sounds as good as kings singers

  • I was at GC for homecoming and kicked myself afterwards for not finding out if you're still working out... I take it this is current and that you will be producing a CD (as noted on another site... Please do! You're stunningly beautiful!
