It's no safer to say that spiritual urges and sensations are caused by brain activity than it is to say that the neurological changes through which we experience the pleasure of eating an apple cause the apple to exist. If your a logical person you should be agnostic...PERIOD! You dont know or understand, dont pretend or lie to yourself! Im not going to say that a "god" doesnt exist, thats not for me to say. Likewise im not going to say I know for a fact that a "god" does exist.

Adolf hitler, KKK, The war in Iraq? are you kidding Me..your blaming the Church? Hitler was an atheist, KKK, can't be supported from Scripture, and the war in Iraq is a holy war from the Muslim's point of view.....get a clue, Christ's Bride (the church) should not be slandered, do the right thing and be honest with history.

Adolf Hitler used the Bible's reference to Jesus overturning tables in the temple to wage his war on the Jews. The KKK uses scripture to justify their existence. George Bush said that "God told me to end the tyranny in Iraq." Jesus often spoke against the religious elite so I think it's a bit out-of-step to say that Shane was "slandering" Christ's bride.

@truth4U2C Hitler was catholic, the KKK uses the bible to justify their actions, and his reference to the iraq war is about how christians here in america support the war. And 'Christ's Bride' is not every church, their are thousands of spiritually dead churches, it's not slander to suggest change. change is what we need. we need less buildings and more people BEing the church, like shane.

Im glad you judged many churches as spiritually dead, if you have correctly decerned that the Holy spirt is not in those churces, why are you so quick to say hitler was a christian? did he have the Holy sprirt? Just beacuse KKk justified from the Bible did that make them also followers of Jesus? Shane shound not drag down the church to lift himself up.

I love it when you are talking about just take a homeless person out to lunch...I love doing that! my friends do that, and are good friends with most of the homeless in the community! I'm lovin the ideas.. and the connections to the bible....Shane s one othe best storytellers! Great stuff, and keep acting love, and trying to do what Christ wanted!

He is a christian. I watched an interview, where they asked if he was a unitarian.....he laughed and was like no I'm no, but I do have friends that are though. He is a christian. I also think that if you believe the exact same thing as someone else, then you prob. aren't thinking for yourself. So that I would say is good. :)

I'm unsure of what I think about Shane Claiborne. Sometimes I like what he says, and sometimes I'm not sure. I just don't don't really know what he believes. I think that's why.
