  • What impressed me, not only amazing Pups, but the tone from an apparently 'disregarded' amp!!

  • ABSOLUTELY PURE AND RICH!!:):)LOVE IT!!

  • Everything Joe Barden makes is pure gold. Finally a P90 that is worth the price.

  • Cool demo, nice sounds. With considerable mods, I was actually able to install a JB soapbar into an archtop jazzbox. It's a pretty impressive jazz pickup.

  • Finally an intelligent demo vid by an intelligent player......absolutely stunning tone from the neck pup...

Thanks a lot for the nice comment! Yes, the Barden neck pickup is a very special beast. In a very long time, this is the first p/up I can think of that is not a recreation of something else, but rather a new entity with its own character and personality.

  • @Andrukhen Could you perhaps record a demo of these pickups with some overdrive??

  • @Neodustin

Thanks for the idea! I will. I recently used the overdriven bridge p/up in a recording with a band and it sounded amazing. The overdriven tone from the bridge Soapbar kind of reminds me of early Brian May. These are extremely good pickups.

  • Sweet sounding pups! The in between position compliments your finger style playing perfectly!

Thank you for the good words! I absolutely love this set!

You can get a nice warm tone from the neck p/u, very sweet "middle" position as you mentioned, while the bridge pickup can sound almost like a slightly overdriven Gretsch Filterton. Only better :) I mean it's a VERY versatile set.
