Cool demo, nice sounds. With considerable mods, I was actually able to install a JB soapbar into an archtop jazzbox. It's a pretty impressive jazz pickup.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment! Yes, the Barden neck pickup is a very special beast. In a very long time, this is the first p/up I can think of that is not a recreation of something else, but rather a new entity with its own character and personality.
Thanks for the idea! I will. I recently used the overdriven bridge p/up in a recording with a band and it sounded amazing. The overdriven tone from the bridge Soapbar kind of reminds me of early Brian May. These are extremely good pickups.
Thank you for the good words! I absolutely love this set!
You can get a nice warm tone from the neck p/u, very sweet "middle" position as you mentioned, while the bridge pickup can sound almost like a slightly overdriven Gretsch Filterton. Only better :) I mean it's a VERY versatile set.
What impressed me, not only amazing Pups, but the tone from an apparently 'disregarded' amp!!

Everything Joe Barden makes is pure gold. Finally a P90 that is worth the price.

@Andrukhen Could you perhaps record a demo of these pickups with some overdrive??

Sweet sounding pups! The in between position compliments your finger style playing perfectly!
