then go surf the white water closer to the beach until you are more comfortable going out that far and learning what to do. Its all progression.

look over your shoulder when your paddling to see when to catch the wave

what you need to do is cup your hands and paddle as hard as you an until you feel the push of like a lil more force, you then either tuck your hands in towards your chest yoor chest or grab on the rails(side of the board) then just stand up AND KEEP CROUCHED! thats the most important thing to remember iloveasiangirls420

try to angle yourself a little bit when paddling, so you and the wave are not perpendicular to each other. dont do it to much though
