Greece's monetary problems are not primarily in the banks; years of extremely high levels of tax evasion by its citizens, combined with short working lives, high pension claims and overspending by the government have led to the collapse of it's economy which has been worsened by its lack of control over the value of the Euro, meaning the Euro Zone must bail it out.

The international banking crisis has not benefited bankers, yes some have kept comparatively high wages but thousands lost their jobs and businesses, though suffering depends on how bad each banks lending policies were.

qaddafi likes to give grandiose speeches in which he talks of defiance. saddam, miloshevich, mubarak, ceausescu, tojo, mussolini, they too gave grandiose speeches & spoke of defiance.
Gaddafi's only mistake was not allowing protesters to protest and causing a humanitarian crisis. If he didn't use force, he might have still been in power with NATO having no reason to intervene. Other than that, as governments go, he wasn't that bad. He got a lot of Libya's oil wealth back from foreign oil companies and used it to build up Libya. Even if he took several billions, he still helped the country.

Gaddafi's only mistake was not allowing protesters to protest and causing a humanitarian crisis. If he didn't use force, he might have still been in power with NATO having no reason to intervene. Other than that, as governments go, he wasn't that bad. He got a lot of Libya's oil wealth back from foreign oil companies and used it to build up Libya. Even if he took several billions, he still helped the country.

The hypocritical double talk is amazing to me, the "Allies" want to refer the Libyan "Regime" leaders to the ICC (International Criminal Court) but the USA is not a signatory of this court itself... WOW, ok, next we have a UN (Rubber Stamped) "Weapons Embargo" which includes training and arming either side and we get reports from the "Rebels" and other sources that the "Embargo" is being violated by the very countries which voted for it...
