  • I completely agree with what you say in this video. You are the type of Christian we need more of. I agree it's not the place of a Christian to judge others. According to Christian scripture, it's the place of God to judge. One of the greatest Christians was Paul who originally terrorized the early Christians before converting. American fundamentalists make a big mistake when they politicize Christianity. Jesus never politicized his beliefs. In fact, he did the complete opposite.

  • @MarmaladeINFP I think his message was a radical political message, it turned over the applecarts. It was about living not for self but for God and his or her fellow neighbor but his message was for everybody, it wasn't until constantine that it was co-opted.

Thank you for your complement, and please don;t be offended but you kind of remind me of what I was like before I was born again, I had the same complaints and concerns about Christianity.

  • @AVoiceCrying33 What I meant by Jesus not being political was that he wasn't trying to turn his message into a set of laws to be forced onto everyone including non-believers. He seemed to be promoting a transformation that happens within rather than a change that happens in the world. His Kingdom was in heaven, not on earth.

I'm not offended. I was raised Christian and I've never denied my Christian upbringing. I'm not a believer, but neither am I an anti-believer.

  • @MarmaladeINFP Yes but the Kingdom of Heaven is here on earth, that is one of transformed hearts and minds doing his work, healing the sick, speaking truth in the face of injustice.

The kingdom is not one of arms and wars, but of love and truth.

  • @AVoiceCrying33 Yeah. The only type of Heaven that makes sense to me is one that is on earth. The distinction I was making is that the Jews at the time were expecting a Messiah who would literally build a kingdom on earth. Jesus didn't fulfill this Jewish expectation. Jesus could be said to have brought a kingdom on earth, but it wasn't a physical empire as the Jews had in earlier centuries prior to the Roman Empire.

  • this is not movie quality but it is good someone makes sincere speech here and really care for the subject he talx of instead of just fooling around and word-fencing (like I do). thumb up.

  • Hi there im an athiest studying religions. as things are in this time with very poor families and teenage mothers i do agree with abortion as i see it to be a better alternative to an unwanted child being abused or killed by family or stuck in a carehome with no love and then tossed out to fend for itself at 16 and ending up on drink and drugs, but i agree it would be nice if the world was perfect and every woman who got pregnant wanted the baby but i doubt that will ever happen sadly!

  • hey thanks i really didnt know i was a liberal

you also did a go job of avoiding the question nice and thanks you dumb ass conservative ]=)

  • i wonder does the same bases hold true or are the same to every man when masturbates . and what about when he is with a woman when they have sex and the man ejaculates inside his condom is that not a waste of a potential life or when the woman has her Fallopian tubes tied and prevents the federalization process of the males sperm isnt that waste of lives

  • @phazon4

    - not quite, when a woman has her period, that is a waste of an egg.

When a man ejaculates into a condom, it is not wasted because sperm is just a transport vessel for dna, it is not an egg, it is just the trigger and information for an egg to develop.

Wait, doesn't that mean that any woman who has her period instead of having a child... is wasting that egg and potential life?

Sperm is not life, it is the trigger that tells the egg to start life.

  • I'm just making a point of course, I honestly feel that a human does not contain a soul into they are fully developed in the womb... then again, I don't really believe in souls in a religious sense :)

  • You by far have given the best answer to my question. However, Sperms are cells and are therefore living (not alive) which can live out side the body for a few minutes or 1 or 2 hours (it varies) which is why i called it potential life.Although it carries only half of the DNA required to create a human and the other is in the egg of the female. It is indeed the trigger and not life. Its Nothing than more DNA with an potential out come.

  • :) I try. lol

I like to have beliefs that can be scientific, whilst still considering how religious beliefs work... although I'm still fully atheist, I just have a knack for trying to understand the psychology of christians.

I'm also known as a zero-faith atheist, a concept in which I cannot be touched/influenced by satan nor God... therefore my morals are decided consciously, rather than religiously from God.

  • In otherwords, although I have no afterlife ahead of me, I cannot goto hell either.

Because by definition, if I cannot be put on the path to heaven or hell, I will remain in limbo... and according to atheism, my soul(paraphrasing) will simply fade away into nothingness... and I'm completely fine with it :)

I don't need saving, nor am I immoral because I have not been saved. That is Zero-Faith Atheism.

  • Good answer

The same applies 2 my self no faith no beliefs. No more moral or immoral than any other religious person who thinks other wise. Christan psychology is no difference than any other persons thinking. Just Some people R just more rational than others. However anyone who believes their actions r dictated by mystical beings both good and bad are foolish. I think the fact that people are afraid of death and anything unknown to them, may be the reason y some people cling 2 religion.

  • yes, this is a quote on how fundamentalist christians often see atheists: "Excitement abounds, I almost can't wait; Relax! I don't want your baby, I already ate. Though I do tend to generally kill... kill things that, don't fight back!" LOL!

    /watch?v=fcbazH6aE2g

  • LOL that was the funniest thing Ive seen all day. If that's how Christians view atheists. Then they're just as fucked in the head as the muslin's or Islams who think killing anyone who leaves the religions dies.

  • well, I'm sure not every religion feels that way about atheists... but a great many DO. We are evil people who eat babies and murder because it's fun!

And yes, only a few religious zealots have not told me I'm a satanic worshipper... satan controls science afterall, and by association, satan controls youtube... and your computer... it's all science!!!

  • Yeah I personally think if anyone is going to be in a religion it should be the Jewish thing. Honestly , you never hear anything thats negative coming from or are about the Jews. Nice people.

But that's just what I think

  • That is until... you meet an orthodox jew :D

    They're also fundamentalist...

It's just too hard to know or find a good religion... I find it safer to stick with atheism and science, simply because it's all about proving itself wrong before it can be right.

If religion does not want to prove itself wrong, and just assume it is right... I find that dangerous and unhealthy to one's mind.

  • Too true but when you tell the religious nut cases that very same thing they over react and repeat the same tired shit about some holy glorious being that doesnt even bother to lift a finger to help them and yet the peolpe who disagree will automaticly be damned bcuz we know the progress that we have made has only come from the hands and minds of humans and not by the hands or will of a disasterous and unjust god.

  • circular reasoning :P

my biggest problem is that most religions state that God is merciful, but that point out that because I was born atheist, I was destined for hell since the time of my birth.

  • yea...They never think about stuff like that.most of them are closed minded anyway so unless youre saying something they agree with youll never make sense other wise.

  • As Richard Dawkins once said, it's good to be open-minded... but not so open that your brain falls out :D

  • LoL Yes i am opened minded but not in such a way that i become one of those who blindly accepts any and everything without thinking about it first and/or then develop my own opinion.

  • if thats the case then every human who has had sex or masturbated and has not had a child is a (So Called baby killer of live potential

  • im not radical.but theres no way you or anyone else is going to convince me this guy wasent a radical he slaughtered 60 thousand babys alot of them late term. thats is the most grotesque thing that could be done on gods green earth. it is black and white.if you would look up late term abortion watch the procedure.they turn a baby backwards pull it all out except the head then kill with a pair of scissors under the scull . a follower of christ wont dothat.

  • No I agree, I am just saying the guy who killed him wasn't a follower of Christ either.

I think the only time that late term abortion is remotlly acceptable is if it is a clear case that the mother would die. I say it's not black and white because there are other issues as well that we have to work on hand in hand with making Abortion illegal, IE better education and better jobs for minorities.

Its a shame Plan Parenthood targets these disadvantaged people and the right wing ignores them

  • most doctors will tell you that late term is not needed. the baby can be c section without danger to the mother. you should also blame the left wing for targeting poor disadvantaged people especialy minoritys. theres some ex abortionist saying they give faulty condoms and phoney pills just to keep them coming back. i seen one report that one girl had 5 abortions between age 13 to15. its to available. no bodys watching regulations. so you cant blame the right.

  • if you dont know where you stand on abortion then you might as well start working every sunday because your no christian.

  • I know where I stand on abortion and I made it pretty clear, It is a sinful nation that gets rids of a baby because it's inconvenient but it is not just black and white, we have to start taking better care of our fellow man, have a better standard of life for the poor, better health care ect.

I have love for all of mankind, some fundamentalists seem to have love only for babies in the womb and their fellow fundamentalist brethren and that is not Christian

  • What is wrong with KANSAS??? Why can't God just tornado them all away!

  • If there really was a god he/she woulda wiped out the worthless asses from every state in our wonderful nation before they was born. thats why these satanic mf-ers

are here making life miserable for decnt hardworking and suffering folks. religion and superstion are the rue of civilized nation.
