I have to say, James sounds fantastic here. I was starting to worry that his vocals would be declining in recent years, but this proves otherwise. Sounded just as good as on the studio recording, if not better. I started going off DT a bit, but this has reminded me how good they can be.

acoustic and then switching to electro just sounds perfect in the album, I think they should try to do that in live versions, too. honestly I expected another "heroic" solo by JP as in the Hollow Years's extended version..also I think the studio version of this ending is more impressive than this live one, I just couldn't get into "mood". but I'm sure they'll improve..anyway, the floydian part was great..

Petrucci's clean guitar sounds awesome on the album, here it sounds more like a harpsichord. Might be the recording but he could have picked something a bit nicer sounding for the mellow bit?

that is due to the fact that camcorders have small microphones that primarily pick up high tones, the result being a recording that sounds harsh and tinny... and harpsicords have a very, high, "nasally" tone. Plus, he's not playing a real acoustic like he does on the album, but rather an electric fed through an acoustic guitar simulator.

You didn't miss much as the other band sucks badly. DT owns it. I sat in the balcony for Orlando and couldn't hear the vocals or keys the entire night...the mix was horrendous.

Nope. Sound was horrible. I went and saw Unknown Hinson at a bar the other night, and the sound quality was better than the DT concert. 15$ for the Unknown Hinson show and I got to meet him, and got like a 3 hour and 30 minute set. 175$ for DT and I get nothing but an hour of bass, and drum registers, with the barely recoginizable sound of Labrie's voice. Not only that, but the set was really bad. I still really enjoy Dream Theater, but ill be sticking to the DVD's from now on.
