Best live performance of anything i've heard ever... everything is perfect. The bass sits and grumbles and never stops, drums are seamless as ever, guitar batters you, the synths float along beautifully... Barney's voice is the best i've heard it that early in NO's career... just wow
It's not a synth drum, it's a normal snare that has been eq'ed to sound that way and sounds more synth-like because of that and the environment where the gig was held.
from the record "Movement", really trying to capture the IAN sound and a wonderful job of it. Amazing live performance. I have seen NO 2 times and when they do old JD songs the crowd goes nuts.
Add his superb lead guitar work, Steve's pulsating drums, Gillian's hypnotic keyboard and stillness with Hooky's usual stuff and this is truly one of the best live versions of any NO song I've heard.
After watching this uplaod as well as the Ceremony one from the same gig it makes me think this would have been one awesome gig.
About 20 years ago I heard a new order song from an album which sounded like it was written from the point of view of a dog e.g running in the park, I liked the song ,does anyone know what this song was or am I mad ? Thanks guys
"I like walking in the park, when it gets late at night, I move round in the dark, and leave when it gets light." That song is Sub-culture, from Low-life. It's about sado-masochism if anything, I think. Yeah.
One of there best! Need to get the bootleg of this concert soon!
