  • It's like looking at an animal that wants to eat you through very thick glass :D

  • Can i like open a program in sandbox?

  • very nice review dude btw am i the only one who noticed 2 virus icons in right bottom corner?

  • how do you know if there a virus?

  • I always have scvhost running in my taskmanager... It takes lots of memory... Is this a virus or any kind of shit? Anyone an idea?

  • This shit is intresting. Thanks man for the info:)

  • be a man, if you trust the software use it on your system not a virtual box.

  • @hellaroms12345 That's not manly.. that's stupid.

  • @hellaroms12345 sometimes software that looks thrusted can be infected......

  • its not a browser, hes running the browser inside the sandbox. you can run ANY program in sandbox.

  • Is sandboxie actually a browser? I use firefox and google chrome, is that ok?

  • this thing is great but how can you tell if something has a virus or not? like if i'm downloading a song or a video will it tell me if its a virus or something? Also what if you save something instead of running the program does it save in the sandbox or the actual hard drive.

  • @MrKoreanKing

try running the song sandboxed to see if it actually is a song if it isnt then kill it

  • this thing is great but how can you tell if something has a virus or not? like if i'm downloading a song or a video will it tell me if its a virus or something?

  • awesome ! no more wastin of bucks!

  • LOL! all this sh**t always create processes called svchost ;-)

  • I love Sandboxie. Great vid, rated and subbed.

  • sandbox can easily be avoided if you download a program which is made by a pro, which is rare

  • @mushfarm wow dumbass, you just typed that in without even thinking. Stop giving people false information, a sandbox in impenetrable unless there is a hole in the sandbox software itself, not the software that is sandboxed

  • @kbd668 it IS impenatrable, i can show you SCREENSHOTS showing you

  • THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PROGRAM AND YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE NEWEST VERSION OF SANDBOXIE AT W W W . DESCARGASJD . TK GOOD LUCK

  • so can you download torrent files to the sandbox?

  • Comment removed

  • "....Unless you get stupid and recover a virus......." I lol'd

  • i cannot download any file bigger than 60 MB into sandboxie. what does this all about? surfing with restriction?

  • if i wanna double click sandboxie it runs to my documents lol

  • If you get a lot of malware popping up in the sandbox like you did in the video, is it possible to use a virus scanner and remove the sandboxed viruses with a non-sandboxed scanner? I know you can just terminate all the programs and no damage is done, but I'd like to know if scanning the items is an option. Another question is can you sandbox a folder where torrents are being downloaded in case you accidentally use a bad torrent to prevent a virus outbreak?

  • what a bout i downloaded something??like mp3's or software.does it goes to the sanboxie?

  • @jonafie123 Yes it goes into the sandbox, but you get an option to recover it (remove it from the sandbox) and either place it in the exact same relative location outside the box as inside (for example, My Documents in the sand box can become My Documents on the harddrive) or you can recover it to a different location.

  • i don't need sandboxie, the sandbox for avast! pro antivirus works now and plus i have avast internet security. it's either i run on avast! sandbox and a malicious URL gets blocked by malwarebytes, avast, or threatfire. if none of that does it the malware will go in the sandbox and not my computer. i LOVE avast ^.^

  • username is Team EMBRACE and key is NHF6TB1

  • how do i put mozilla firefox to run like explorer ???

  • @jesse197981 put firefox as the default browser

  • Can Sandboxy stop malware from being transfered to my computer via AIM or MSN?

  • lol what a cute name sandboxie! lol

  • Love the videos! I was wondering if I can use this for virus removal training i.e. The new paladin virus. I want to sick it on my computer and see if I can remove it. Will this allow me to do that?

  • i cant get java script to work on sandboxed browser....someone help its turned on just wont work

  • can this stop a rootkit??

  • yes it can... in fact the paid version makes USB drive (autorun) viruses a thing of the past.. great app!!

  • haha finally a program that lets me to watch pr0n with zero infection risk :D

  • @Jonza121 lol :)

  • am i right that you cant use sandboxie in windows 7 64bit?

if so are there any alternatives that will work?

  • @invisible0tom

You can use with x64 windows7.

    Sandboxie 3.43.13 Beta [x86 & x64]

  • there's a beta out on their forums that works fine

    :]

  • avast pro 5 is going to have process virtualization A.K.A sandboxing and it will work in 64 bit

  • lawl, the first virus exe was from google?

  • no its just that its programed for the first thing to load was the installer rather than the page i think

  • could i do my own tests with sandboxie?

  • What kind of "tests"?

  • basicly what he does

  • when you download a program and it is in your sandbox how can you scan it with your antivirus before you inport it becuse if it is in your sandbox you stll dont know if it has malware in it?

  • i cant play youtube videos when fire fox is in sandboxie? pls help me to solved it..

  • Try Using IE

  • thank you bro this realy helps =)

    100% it helps =)

  • I use it allways for browsing, i don't get any malware or trojans, I scan my system with malwarebytes-don't find anything.

The only thing is favourites are not easy to do, have to go into my history.

I got rid of my anti-virus program, it is satisfying to use sandboxie and feels safe.

  • How do I turn Firefox into a sandboxed web browser?

  • right click on firefox icon and click run sandboxed

  • does sandboxie work with google chrome ? or only with IE ?

  • I dont like this . like everything sandboxies can have holes and thats when the problem with them starts.

  • I love your malware removal reviews and tutorials. You are very entertaining to watch and very in depth.

LOL @ "Pretty much the only way to penetrate Sandboxie is if there is a hole, or if you become stupid and recover a virus." haha XD

  • @STVYT got to love those commentaries in the video :D

  • @STVYT I laughed at that part too lol

  • Im kinda skeptical but im on Windows 7 64bit is this for me??

  • their website says it isn't

    not at all 64bit

  • So for sandboxie what if you want to let the program run and enter your hard drive? Btw I have 64 bit vista so I can't install sandboxie :(. I want another alternative though.

  • If i get infected and i dont know about it, and virus starts to run in sandboxie, will the sandboxie inform me about that new program running in sandboxie? Can i just close my browser and sandboxie would delete all running progresses in it? What about recovering the virus. How i can accidentally recover a virus?

  • you do know there are superviruses that USE sandboxie to do serious damage to your pc

  • so wat is the name of the "supervirus"?

  • I like to go to FPSBanana and download some skins, maps, models etc in my games. Some of the files sometimes have viruses. If i download file folder that has virus, will the virus stay in sandbox?

  • The virus, individually? no. You'd have to delete the stuff you downloaded entirely.

  • Thanks, there isnt much on youtube on how to use this. I had the installer sitting on my hard drive for nearly a year, just thought it would be too complicated to use. Now i am going to use it.

Wow with Sandboxie your such a powerfull hunk!!

  • i was just thinkin....

couldnt it technically be called "Catbox" or "litter box" as well considering that it is doing the same thing and has the same principle of filtering out the crap.

also, a question is- could you double the sandbox?

like with defense wall and sandboxie running inside it?

  • both panda and kapersky have declared that to be a false positive years ago

  • its a false postivie and use your brain, the mrizos is reviewing it right now.

  • you will still need antivirus software. look at his IE how got infected when he try to lunch it with it's home page?!

  • You potentially don't need an anti-virus do you? You can just download a file (into sandboxie) and check its resource access. If you find something that will infect your system you just dont install it. That's pretty sweet

  • what? U can install or download and It'll just go into teh sand Box

  • I've had Sandboxie now for about 3 weeks; I love it! Now when I run my antivirus protection my pc is a lot cleaner because there are no new viruses being added because I run almost everything in the sandbox.

  • But If i get virus from some file?? what then

  • use an anti virus in conjunction with sandboxie

  • If I download Trojan can it damage my things ^^

  • Nope. :)

  • Nope didnt u watch Part 1? He said it cant touch anything because its isolated in the sand box so your safe

  • not if u use sandboxie ^^

  • Excellent review Matt. I am definitely getting Sandboxie.

I have a question though. Let's say you downloaded malware inside the sandbox (but you don't know). Will anti-virus programs such as Avira be able to detect the malware inside the sandbox?

    Thanks in advance Matt.

  • well in my opinion this is how windows should split up users and adminstrators and if not that at least how all programs should be the first time started where user hasnt defined if its a safe software

  • so if you load firefox in a sandbox and dl a virus that steals your bookmarks and emails them, it won't send?

  • Comment removed

  • Just a few notes on Sandboxie:

~ The video mentioned exploits specifically targeting Sandboxie - there's a reason why there are regular updates, mostly security ones.

~ It will not update your real browser if it's running in the sandbox, although it will update that sandboxed copy.

~ It is vulnerable to driver-level attacks (Sandboxie simply refuses to run them).

~ It can be very slow, since all file IO operations are captured - running large programs (like demanding games) are not recommended.

  • yes 1 flaw.. 64-bit cantot load

  • Can you also run programs like keygens in da sandbox?

  • yes

you just right click the keygen and choose "run sandboxed"

  • true

  • why is it not 64-b

    it compatible

  • almost nothing is

  • Is there a way to make a x64 backwards compatible?

  • hey mrizos . please make your vids hi def so we can view in full screen and see the examples you create for us. p.s. how do you know somethings malware in the sandbox if its not able to access any resources. not sure i understan how to see the undesired effects of the malware if it cant perform

  • add &fmt=18 at the end of the url to view in HQ

  • thanks to Parilblade001 for the reply and the info on how to watch in high def.. ps nice site bro.

  • no problem

  • i switched from nod to kaspersky then to norton gaming edition.

norton isnt that crap anymore!!!! (only using it until nod32 4.0 comes out.

  • nope norton still a little bit bad use nod32 on my desktop (gaming), norton on my 2nd gaming laptop and kaspersky on my work laptop

  • recover virus yes

    oh nooooooo!

    lol

  • comodo is should have sanboxing too, and stay free foreverr

it would rule the antivirus world, but the website would prob get hacked alot, since virus writers would hate them

  • Sandboxie IS better than defensewall cuz its free. the only thing is the nag screen. defensewall should be open source for home use...

  • And if you guys are so hell bent on making a virus, there are virus creation kits all over the internet, so that dumbasses can pretend to be programmers too; just run it and enter your uber cool handle in hacker elite speak and bam, you're now officially a script kiddie! =)

  • what chaps my ass, is what you guys are really asking when you ask 'where does he get virus' from?'-- is where to find the source code. If you want to make virus' you have to become a programmer, if you want virus' that some else has made you have to find the source code. and a lot of virus' and exploits can be downloaded as a source file and then compiled into an executable. So why don't you just ask Matt 'how do I become a kiddie script?'-- just search the virus source code database =)

  • well then you can run your antivirus and a sandbox and if your antivirus misses some malware then it'll be trapped in the sandbox anyway; an antivirus is only as good as its definitions, it can't protect you from everything. this is kinda along the lines of running a virtual machine, it traps the malware in a virtual environment so that it can't infect your real system.

  • i dont get how this is different from an anti virus app. kaspersky basically does this. its scans all exe files u download. and you dont have to worry about links to rouge AVs, cause it would mark it as a phishing site. i dont see a difference

  • Sandboxing doesn't scan anything. It just thinks everything is untrusted and loads all downloads (intentional or unintentional) into the sandbox.

Scanning exe's is not 100% effective, Sandboxing, however is.

  • oh. kaspersky does that too. when you install something, you can choose the level of trust that you give each program. its called application filtering

  • its also called HIPs

    (host intrusion prevention).

  • i know. but for kasperski internet security, its called application filtering

  • From where do you get those beautiful malware links? I want some too as i like running them in my vm and seeing how to remove them manually...

  • Mostly from castle cops.

  • wtf is that

  • A site the reports about new malware.

  • not any more.

  • is sandboxie free or what???? i went to site and it says buy on the top! so is it free?

  • Friends and clients.

  • Wait so where is your new Malware links coming from?

  • alternatively you can visit malwaredatabase and there you will find over 500,000 documented pieces of malware and their sites. then you can have some fun and run your virtual machine and do what you're not suppose to do and click on the links and get really infected! =0

  • What do you mean? You said visit malwaredatabade. WHAT?

  • just google search malwaredatabase; youtube has filters that block any sites posted in the comments section to block spammers

-- since everyone wants to know how they can infect a virtual machine, have fun & happy surfing ;)

  • yea. im wondering that too. where does he get them???
