  • read James....we are saved by faith but true faith should produce works. do you honestly believe that grace is a license to do anything you want and God is stuck with you because of you belief??? the demons believe also. what these people are saying is that the Holy Spirit is powerless to keep us from sin. The Holy Spirit is not an indulgence.......who's being Catholic here???

  • @zebb1111 You sure can't read James. Do you know what 'anarthrous' means? That's when in GREEK you leave out the definite article. James does that in his GREEK, to show what you typed is garbage. I did a whole playlist of 22 videos on James GREEK in James 1-2. Go learn its Greek. Then you won't make such laughably ignorant comments, in English.

  • @brainouty First video starts simply, in ENGLISH, here: watch?v=ZV_aTsnz-zs

  • @brainouty try first timothy 1:18ff. If you arent living with a good conscience, wheres your faith. I don't know what sins you are clinging to. by the way you answered me, I can tell that you dont have much piece. I can read greek, I studied greek at mcgill. I don't want a chess match...thats just going to encourage huge egos. however i exhort you to give those parts of your life to the Holy Spirits filling and you won't feel the need to defend "cheap Grace".

  • @zebb1111 You have no conscience, obviously. I pointed you to proof you can't read James, so instead of doing what the SPIRIT would have said, 'INVESTIGATE, LEARN', you instead misuse another Bible book you can't read in the words the SPIRIT gave Paul. So good-bye. I don't waste time on stubborn, carnal Christians full of hot air. You are in 1John1:8, but need verse 9. Till then, talking to you is fruitless, Titus 3:10. Bye.

  • @brainouty Wow.. incredible how you can't understand the Bible and seek to distort it using 22 videos on the "Greek" (which you have perverted). Do you believe you are better than thousands of translators? That suddenly you have found an amazing revelation? Do not be so arrogant. "What use is it, my brethren, that a man says he has faith and no works? Can that faith save him?" Speaking of full of hot air, you just told him he has no conscience, called him stubborn and carnal..

  • @brainouty And being carnal is remaining in sins of the world which you are seeking to defend. Sounds like you're the one full of hot air- but, I digress, because speaking to you much longer would be casting God's pearls before swine.

  • Funny how Jesus believes you have to repent to be saved (Luke 13:3), confess His name (Mt. 10:32), and be baptized (John 3:3-5; Mark 16:16; Matt. 28:18-20) to be saved, that you had to do His will (Mt. 7:21). Jesus said not only belief and confession are necessary (calling Him Lord), but also obedience. Is obedience necessary to salvation? If yes, then do what Jesus commanded..

  • @clearedtoengage fuzzed to Bible, you are. REPENT means repent about NOT BELIEVING IN HIM, I've proven that over and over, so have many others. You don't have to be baptised with WATER to be saved, John 3 is not saying that, it's talking about the amniotic sac. But you can't read Greek, so you don't know. And doing His will is to BELIEVE, if you read the context. And Romans 10:10 IN THE GREEK says the opposite of what you say.

I stick with the Bible. JUST BELIEVE and you will be saved.

  • @brainouty To others: cockroach Christians like clearedtobestupid here, want to SHACKLE you with works. Avoid them, call them names, see my insult policy of BIBLE VERSES on my channel page, and my Gospel playlist, plus the Roman 10:10 videos which will show you the actual Greek text which you yourself can learn and recite.. so to have bug spray handy, against vile cockroach Christians who spit on the Cross.

  • @brainouty Lol. You fail sir. I'm not shackling anyone with anything. It's God's Word, but you are too stubborn to follow it. False gospel!

  • @brainouty Let's see what James said about works... James 2:14 "What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?" ... "For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." Obviously SOME works are needed for salvation. Which ones? John 6:29.. the works of GOD. Not the works of men, works of human merit, works of the Old Covenant.. but the works of GOD. What is baptism? Col. 2:12- FAITH in the working of GOD!

  • @brainouty If baptism in water was not the gospel, explain to me why Paul, Peter, and the rest of the apostles all preached it! Acts 8 clearly proves preaching Jesus involves preaching water baptism. Acts 10 clearly proves that the baptism of the Holy Spirit does not save, because they were still commanded to be baptized. Acts 22:16... if Paul was saved at belief, then why did he still have sins that needed to be washed away?

  • @clearedtoengage the Gospel is the whole of the new testament, the vast majority of wich calls us to good works as proof of salvation...not the cause of salvation. everyones itching ears would love to believe that ones life shouldnt change and God has sent them false teachers to satisfy thier itching ears. He will not be mocked.

Grace has a cost...Christs suffering. why spit on it with habitual sinning....wheres the gratitude for his grace???

  • @zebb1111 The majority of the NT is post-salvation, not pre-salvation. What were they told to do in Acts 10? Be baptized. What must one do to be saved? Hear (Rom 10:17), Believe (Mark 16:16), Repent (Luke 13:3), Confess (Mt. 10:32-33; Rom. 10:9-10), Baptized (Acts 2:38), and Faithful Living (Rev. 2:10).

  • @clearedtoengage show me where calvin disagrees. works come from gratitude and are a sign of salvation, not the means to it? WHATS THE ARGUMENT THEN?

  • @zebb1111 Calvin does not believe that we must be baptized to be saved, as Jesus commanded. He doesn't believe that James 2:14-26 says that true faith includes works or is not true faith and cannot save.

  • @zebb1111 No, good works are not the cause of salvation. God's grace is. But we must accept His grace by doing what He told us to do to receive that grace (Titus 2:12).

  • @brainouty "Avoid them, call them names, see my insult policy..." That sounds Scriptural! 1 Cor. 16:14; 1 Pet. 3:15. There is no Scriptural authority for AVOIDING rather than trying to STUDY. There is NO Scriptural authority for INSULTS, REVILING, NAME-CALLING... Wrong. Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth... You fail, sir. The Bible NEVER says just believe and you will be saved. Faith without works is dead.. cannot save. Look at Paul! He was not saved before baptism!

  • @brainouty Sorry, no. Repent does not mean repent about disbelief. Luke 13:3 is in the context of sin not unbelief. You do have to be baptized with water to be saved according to Peter, Paul, and Jesus. Eph. 4:4 one baptism. It is NOT talking about the amniotic sac- it was something that he still needed to do. Romans 10:10 does not say the opposite.. 1 Pet 3:21 baptism now saves you. Belief only condemns you to hell (Matt. 7:21).

  • @brainouty Acts 2:38 "Repent..." They already believed per V 37 or they would not have been pricked in their heart and ask what shall we do. NO REASON to ask what shall we do if they did not believe that Jesus was the Christ. If water baptism isn't for salvation explain Matt 28:18-20 "baptizing them" not "being baptized by the Spirit". The one baptism that Jesus spoke of was something that could be performed by men. 1 Pet 3:21..

  • @maggiemae99 Glad you liked it, pre-trib-all-the-way-and-Bible-supports-that-claim-ever-since-genesis-5-see-my-How-God-constructs-Time-playlist!

  • @wdp103 Thanks! I really had fun making this video. It ended up spawning six more videos, at the end of my KJV-only Blasphemy playlist. I'll send you the first one. Just watch it for the humor, when and if inclined. Same characters!

  • lol sola scriptura, grace alone , faith alone, ! some people are ignorant , and cast judgement about calvinist, thats like me saying that my arminian, and evangelical brothers are going to hell cause they hold to free will, ahahah

    ahaha LOL

  • This video is funny and so dead on.

  • @coffinperson You helped inspire it! :) You, and 25met4!

  • I'm sorry,God Bless you SISTER.

  • You don't have to apologize, CBALLEN. The video didn't give you any hint of gender, and neither does my nickname, which I take from the Greek of Ephesians 4:23, to remind me to always use 1John1:9. :)

  • God saves us first, the repent and believe in this case means turn from you unbelief and come to Christ.Repenting of your "sins" is a respones to your salvation,it is a gift and a fruit,it is ongoing in a Christians life.Heres the thing,if repentance of sins was required for salvation,no one would be saved, because we still sin once we are saved.

  • Amen, CBALLEN. The only thing to add is that the Gift is from God, the fruit is from the Spirit, we produce NOTHING. Even a tree is done-to, and it can't help but 'produce' the fruit, kinda like growing hair.

You are what God makes you, or you are what YOU make you, and absent 1John1:9 we make ourselves a bunch of wood hay and stubble for Bema burning, 1Cor3 and Philippians 3:18-19.

  • I can't see why people don't see the two kinds of repentances that the Bible teaches. One from unbelief and one as a fruit, both are gifts of God.I think some people just think ,when they hear us say,you don't have to repent of your sin to be saved, they think we are saying just live like you want.I think many times people just talk past each other.God Bless Brother.

  • BTW,I am of the reformed belief and the reason I believe what I believe is because of prayer, study and tears.I've been cast out of my church of 12 yrs. for my reformed belief.

  • On the other hand, often people who know they are wrong are the ones afraid to consider the word of God plainly taught that disagrees with your thoughts which is not the bible or the thougfhts of God.

Of course I find it interesting when reformational teachers interprets allegorically and so do we when the bible teaches something we do not believe-repent, forsake your thoughts and bow your prideful mind to Christ and the word of God! Stop relying on your self-this is what we need to repent of

  • I am sure you know what you mean, daveme7, but your comments don't seem to have squat to do with this video. Your comments on my profile page make you sound like a rabid Calvinist -- and I want no truck with Calvinists, 10 years' spent arguing with them is long enough.

Your PM didn't make sense either. Maybe you just felt like blowing off steam. That's fine, have at it. I don't know what to reply, so won't.

  • Well of course you would say my words are non sensical. Let me break it down for you.

    1. Repentance is a component of salvation

    2. Whenever people wat to teach against repentance-they do know different then reformation hermeneutics i,e.Eisegesis as opposed to exegesis.

If u do noy get it about repentance-u r reading your own understanding into the text. In other words what you say is not biblical and is a private interpretation.

  • Otherwise in my other comments is to teach what you say about repentance in Acts 2 as repentance to recieve baptism of the Spirit. I showed in Acts 2 how Peter preached the gospel such as calling on the name of the Lord which disagrees with you on the 3000 were not saved in Acts 2.

What i am trying to do is essiantially to show.you are twisting God's word to neet your predefined understanding as well as ignoting key doctrines on repentance in Mark 1:15

  • I am supposing the person who teaches Acts 2 is not about salvation for it would include repentance as a part of salvation despite Peter accusing those 3000 of being responsible for crucifying Christ exhorting them to save themmselves from this untoward generation preaching the death and ressurection of Christ exhorting to call on the name of the Lord in v 21 and showing 3000 souls were added this day, and this is not about salvation and you tell me I do not know how to read the bible? i

  • In all of this, do you know admit that you are teaching it is okay for Christians to not follow the bible, to continue in sin, and to live a life of continued rebellion to Christ.

Somehow I think a convulated understanding of Acts 2 is the worst I ever heard. So are you maintaining that the 3,000 were already saved when they repented? I would say read again and leave your thoughts out of the bible and let the bible change your thoughts-your mind.

  • daveme7, this video has nothing to do with what you have been typing. So again, I will not reply to you. This video is about Calvinists making up conditions for salvation which are not in the Bible.

So again, what you type and accuse, is tres bizarre, and should get no response. Maybe you are confusing this with another robot video?

  • Ah the evolution of religion. From One protestant group to a thousand different versions, and all so uniquely different. To the outside they see them as one and all equally faulty, but to the insider the differences are clear. It is ironic how the Protestant groups of today seem to have the goal of being like the churches in which the 95 thesis were planted. To have the power to dictate who is saved and who is damned, which belongs to no man.

  • lolololololol! great video!

    god bless you!

  • There is a difference between doing works in order to be saved and doing works because you are saved.

  • Yes there is, nanhei: and the only works which count with God are HIS OWN WORKS, never yours, see my 'brainout-made James 2 Exegesis playlist' which prove how all those who spout 'faith without works is dead' -- are themselves dead. Saved, but carnal -- that's James' point, and it took 22 videos to exegete both chapters.

  • Repentance is EVIDENCE of Salvation, not means. You know this because I am sure hundreds of my Calvinist brethren have told you so. But, a fabricator of straw men usually has her hearing aid turned off. You should talk to God about your unwillingness to repent. When you sit around smoking cigs, does the Spirit convict you? Bottom line, faith in Christ, the faith which God provides, is the only means for salvation and repentance follows as a sing of assurance. 1John5:13

  • jpmckown, someday it would behoove you to read up on a person before making snap judgements. Good bye. I have no desire to disabuse you of your false ideas, as you enjoy them so much.

  • You know, it's amazing to me to see that so called Christians have so much time to hate non essentials, rather than edify the brethren.

  • TO EVERYONE: after this video someone asked me to prove James 2. So now you can see my new playlist, "brainout-made James 2 exegesis". It starts with an old summary video, but then shows Bible LIVE so you can start to see the proof for yourself: handy ammo. :)

My pastor covered all this years ago, and I'd recommend you get his exegesis (FREE) at rbthieme(dot)org , the 'James' and 'James 4' series (about 100 lessons).

I can't find ANYONE else who teaches James thoroughly.

  • The cast of the Wizard of Oz called - they requested you quit beating the heck out of their strawman since they need him for their next musical...

  • hahahaha!

  • Well actually it was the Tin Man; since Calvinism has no heart. :)

  • Really? Ever heard of Amazing Grace? A Calvinist wrote it. Jesus Paid It All? Another one. Rock of Ages? Another Calvinist.

For folks with no heart, we seem to write all the good hymns (Wesley of course wrote wonderful hymns as well...). So much for heartless, expressionless tin men, huh?

Oz e-mailed me - you still need to stop assaulting their strawman...

  • Wired, since the Calvies have been beating up all other Christians, even executing them, for almost 500 years, a little back-slapping is in order.

I LIKE Calvin. But he got some things wrong. No big deal. The stubbornness to admit what he got wrong makes Calvinists odious to the world at large, and makes a mockery of Bible.

That MUST be admitted, especially by this descendant of the original Huguenots. :)

  • Exactly! They cite verses that have nothing to do with they are claiming!

  • DUMMY LMAO GOOD STUFF

  • LOL ele12957, I've noticed that phenomenon, too. The Muslim who believes Allah is a nice guy, really has no clue about the Koran; like most Christians, he lives on hearsay. Then when he actually READS the Koran he becomes quite disturbed. By contrast, those who really read and believe in it, become terrorists.

Same for Bible: those who really learn IT become like IT -- because IT is like the real God. Those who go by hearsay, well -- we know what happens. Nuff said.

  • I've met two nice Calvinists on Youtube: greatestgiftis, a truly precious soul; and Glorthac, who has some maturity.

My pastor USED to be Calvinist, and became 'famous' for 'leaving the flock'. Yeah, he left because he found out how much of Calvinism was unBiblical. Some Calvinists just can't stop attacking him even 50 years later, lol. So I do relate. :)

  • when I meant pray for you, I meant pray that those people would see truth, mostly :)

  • and yeah lol at Jeff foxworthy, he lives down the road from me, see him at movies sometimes- ihavent, but friend/family has, and his children go to our school.

oh, and our vet takes care of his kids' pet rats lol

    or hamsters..w/e they are

  • wow, yeah I just looked up their channels.

seems like half of them follow the new-age Lordship Salvation(works salvation) heresy.

they have nothing but hate in their hearts.

    I know that type.

they are springing up like wildfire because of the apostasy(liberalism) in Christianity today, so the devil uses this as the trojan horse for works salvation..

I'll pray for ya, these people are nuts.

  • lol.

yeah, they like to hunt people down and argue with them on every page.

let me guess, is one of them named freewillheresy?

  • I'm sure it will cause a Christian civil war, ele12957, just like it did the first time. Calvinists have always been persecutors.

It doesn't HAVE to, but the Calvinists are the 'catholics', this go-round, as I tried to explain in my 9/12-11/12 Contra Calvinism videos (just click on the video description for any one of them to download the 3-page Word doc 'script' I read aloud in the videos).

The Calvies are stubborn. Easy to fix what's wrong in Calvinism, but they won't do it.

  • ele12957, did you put that material in a webpage? If you don't have the inclination to create your own domain, you want to use my brainout(dot)net domain? I can make an account for you, which you manage yourself, if you desire. You can set your own password, too. Your call.

This stuff is important. I firmly believe God is sending Christianity through a 2nd Reformation beginning 490 years after the first one, in order to CLEAN HOUSE of doctrinal error, esp. w/ respect to Calvies.

  • Thank you, ele12957. You wouldn't believe how long it took to make: something like six hours! But I know the xtranormal tricks now, and the next one will be a lot easier to make.

  • u talking bout Paul Washer types I assume-

recieving the holy spirit in THOSE days? do u think the gifts of the spiirt are gone?

  • The first-century gifts of the spirit died with the completion of Canon. Now Spirit Filling plus the gifts of pastor, evangelist, remain. Too long to go into, here.

  • Golly, jesseakers, I just re-read my post and it sounds like I was cutting you off. That wasn't my intention! The spiritual gifts all UPGRADED after Canon was completed, so the lower ones like apostleship, tongues, knowledge, faith, etc. -- were all terminated. See 1Cor14, Hebrews 8-10 on that promise. That's why Paul was the last APPOINTED apostle (criteria stated in 1Cor15:1-10), and John the last living one, Rev1.

  • LOL! 5/5 / fav. great video! hahahaha you had same thought as me recently I was going to/still am, make a video with the Paul Washer robots who go around saying 'Lord, Lord' when the ironic thing is its talking about them!! that's how it always works it seems. Islam shouts they are peace. calvinism shouts they love God's sovereignty Lordship Salvationists shout 'Lord, Lord' they parrot exactly what they are messing up/twisting/hating upon lol good video God Bless~
  • Yes, LOLFunny, it's a kind of trend of the sin nature on the religious side, to quote verses which allegedly support the position -- that actually prove the speaker wrong! Weird phenomenon. See it all the time with the Calvies and others.

From now on, though, when I see that, I know not to respond. If the person is so blind he cannot see that the verse he quotes as support actually proves him wrong, he can't read any reply I give. Prayer, instead. :)

  • you hit it on the head there!

  • You know, this video was inspired by your Lord Salvationist video. I didn't realize how much until just watching your video again. :)

  • hey thanks, awesome!

I've grabbed some ideas from THIS video now that I'm going to use in my next video on just this topic, Paul Washer robots lol

  • forked tongue, love it. Exactly why there's so much confusion in the world with all sorts of translations

  • Yeah. I really wish God would just MUZZLE us after we are saved, like he did to Ezekiel. Only allowing us to speak when we first have PROPERLY LEARNED the Word.

But we need to practice, hah! Lots of mistakes!

  • Satan sure does like to complicate it doesnt he. Clever tactic really, make it seem almost impossible to be saved and many give up.. I only answer to God he knows my motives, my intent and I trust him :-)

  • Yeah, Laras. You trust Him, and that's ALL there is to do!
