@madelineschmitt its the solution that sterilizes the skin. if u see medical drama shows they spray some dark liquidy stuff on to the body then start cutting. the dark stuff kinda turns the skin yellow temporarily
I had my bunions (both feet at the same time) operated on when I was 12. Now I'm 14 and I'm fully recovered 100%. I experienced alot of pain but, in reality, it's not that bad.
I had my bunions (both feet at the same time) operated on when I was 12. Now I'm 14 and I'm fully recovered 100%. I experienced alot of pain but, in reality, it's not that bad. I had to stay in hospital overnight and went home the next day. I was on painkillers but stopped taking them after a week because I wasn't in pain and didn't need them I was in plaster for 6 weeks (sexy look!!), when I got my plaster off I couldn't walk lol - but I'm tip-top now :D I would recommend the op if you need it
I had this done on 11/17/10, Left foot. Had a bone cut in 2 places and two screws put in. Didn't feel a thing under an anesthesiologist. First 10 days after were the hardest. Pain pills worked, weaned myself off pills in 10 days because of severe stomach cramps on the 8th day. Then used 800mg Ibuprophen once a day at bed time. Still in the boot, wheel chair at work, crutches at home. Stay off the foot! Why did I wait so long! 30+ years of pain! 48yrs old now. Do it while your young! Glad I didit
I think I need this surgery done:( ...my right foot started to hurt really bad.. it's been 1 month now, and the bone on my big toe keeps growing:( I'm scared
I'm having this surgery in two weeks. And this seems painful. I'm nervous. But more about the recovery. Has anyone had this done that can describe the recovery :0(
I just had my left foot done yesterday. I was nervous as hell as I've been watching the operations on youtube. To be honest, I hate needles so that was what I was most worried about (and waking up mid-surgery). The needle wasnt that bad and I felt nothing. Woke up in recovery and it was all done. I cant wait to see the results - foot is partially in a cast and I'm on crutches. I'm glad I went through with it, and look forward to getting my right foot done soon.
holy shit this looks sick.. i put it on mute cus the saw noise gave me goosebumps!!!.. ive been delaying my surgery for 2 yrs now.. but im definitely gonna have to get it before the yr is over! pray for me!
the scars do last forever, I had double bunion surgery when I was 13, I am now 26. It was painful-like any surgery would be, but I am thinking of getting it done again, this time around just one foot. There are different ways this surgery can be done all depending on how bad your feet are.
@mj8291958 There is a number of treatments to minimize the long term visibility of the scar. With time it also tends to fade away and become less visible.
='( wow. Just this year, I've started to develop noticeable bunions (AND bunionettes) on both feet, that are becoming progressively painful. I'm only 19! What is the cost the surgery? Would it be better to do it now, when its still small or later when pain is greater and the bunion/nettes are larger? I have narrow feet but now because of the bunions, have to wear wide width sneakers but that doesn't really help, the sides of my feet always feel squished and they seem to be growing everyday.
pain didnt start for 36 hours after which was good (local anaesthetic) but hurt ALOT after especially when standing up as the blood flow would rush to the area. its okish now and get next cast on wed which is a lightweight one, i get alot of twitching though which is slightly annoying but cant wait for the end result and the second one to be done, im not put off the next one as the end result will be so much better, im only 18 but had them all my life, it has been the best decision
why didnt you do them at one time? my mom got hers both done at once. needless to say...that didnt stop her from cleaning. we were constantly yelling at her to lay down...she cant sit still...
@laurengoggy I got the surgery 3 weeks ago and just got my stitches removed friday. I get my second cast removed on the 24th. I actually had 2 bunions on my foot. My big toe and my pinkie toe. They had to break both my toes and realign them. I actually have a video of it. The healing process sucks. I agree that after the surgery the most pain was when I would get up to go to the bathroom and the blood would rush to the foot and it just felt like severe throbbing. Good luck!
I had bunion surgery (modified lapidus procedure) on wed 10th of march 2010, i had a nerve block for the anaesthetic (needle with like electric current sent down not sure exactly) which i must say was the worst bit as i hate needles and just the hole twitch thing made me cringe, but in surgery i didnt feel anything except a bit of tugging and the saw only felt like a slight vibration, about a hr 10 mins into it the tornakay or however you spell it started to hurt alot so they deflated it PHEWW
im soooo nervous after watching this! im getting this done in two weeks! my heart wont stop pounding! i hope they put me under completely or else ill probably hav a anxiety attack! im not happy
We use a variety of surgical and non-surgical techniques to remove corns, shorten toes and prevent or remove keloids. We also have extensive experience treating all skin types. I am not familiar with Dr Keyes.
If I saw well, the bone had to be cut so I guess I have a question... Will the foot look like it did before the bunion? Very interesting video! It would be very nice if your physicians visit Symposier site and share their knowledge on this topic.
