  • GOOOO PETER!!!

  • 100% commitment...this is what motorsport is all about! Awesome.

  • dude is one fast talker lol

  • does anybody have the hole pacenotes? written somewhere?

  • nice of solberg to have an English speaking co driver

  • 6:20 Amazing Phill Mills "It Gets faster now!!!!!"

  • lmao 2:03 "ohh the jump"

  • Heh, this is on WRC: Recharged DVD. :D

  • No one says 'half-long' better than Phil Mills.

  • @petrolhead is it true that Phil Mills is no longer Petter Solberg's codriver? I saw a new name in Spain 2010, C. Patterson, who is he??

  • @bladerunner6 Chris Patterson has been Solberg's co-driver since Rally Bulgaria. He's very experienced, and was Nasser Al-Attiyah's navigator in PWRC. Mills retired to concentrate on his business.

  • @petrolhead okay thanks for the update btw what business in Phil in do you know? he has worked so long with Petter, its a shame he left

  • @bladerunner6 Hi, thought you might like to know Phil is running his own business Viking Motorsport (specialise in classic rally ford escort preparation) in wales, UK. I think his cars do very well on several events sometimes driven by gwyndaf evans (another rally legend)

  • Can you make a video with best resolution and the fully stage in one video?

  • Well no more Phil Mills as of recently. He decided to quit this year and Petter has chosen Chris Patterson to replace him, and he is pretty experienced though.

  • where is Soldberg from, anyone know?

  • @TitsMcAssh0le not from this world as it seems!

  • @TitsMcAssh0le Petter Solberg is from Norway. Born in a place called Askim.

  • Mr. Mills is a machine. Flawless. This video is awesome.

  • " It gets faster now" Ha Ha, I'm going to get a T shirt made with those words on it. Rallying makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, Mexico, WHAT A RESULT, Rally on boys

  • @SPYDOC1 Get me one of those tshirts too, mate!

  • Jeg er i allefall svett i hendene O.o :) sykt!

  • Incredible teamwork. Thanks for posting this

  • Thats what rallyings about. Makes me laugh when Phil says, "It gets faster now" awsome pairing, commitment and confidence in each other, Rally on boys.

  • Like 3:00 to 4:00 is ridiculously fast...and Petter just keeps his foot welded to the floor :O

  • It cracks me up when any Co-Driver says "Maybe." It just makes me think "They might have changed it since earlier" xD

  • Heh, reminds me of sega rally.

  • best rapper ever

  • @MicMastaBlasta : PHIL MILLS OWNS!

  • Brilliant! Laughed when at approximatley 6min 22 secs they come out of a left hand hairpin and Phill Mills says 'it gets faster now'!!! What was the last 6 mins 22 secs then???

  • holy .. that was a crazy ride. love peter and subaru!

  • Not only the drivers, but the co-drivers truly are talented too

  • oh yeah, the car slams down and his voice barely fluctuates at all

  • what (Key Right )means?

  • Don't quote me on this, but I think it's a 90 degree corner... Typically a 2nd gear corner I would think.

  • I dont think so..altough I don know,what K right means,I think it is now 90 degree corner,according to a pacenote system of Richard Burns,who had been using 90 right/left as well as K right/left

  • So then you do think so...

I've always used a pacenote system similar to Colin McRae's. A K corner is typically taken in 2nd gear, where a K - is taken in 1st.

  • "K right" is tighter than a square/90 corner, but not as tight as a hairpin. The name comes from the shape of the letter.

But yeah Phil is saying "keep right/left" (and "keep in" as well, presumably stay to the side of the road you're on).

  • @AlejjSi do you have the complete pacenotes?

  • @cuciuc2008 Here you have various systems of pacenotes

    w w w . rallynews . net / pattersonpacenotes / systemtypes . asp

  • @nolanbowling I think K is used for Kink, which wouldn't quite be described properly is called a 4 or 6 corner. I think a lot of co-drivers use "Square Right" for 90 degree bends.

At least I think that's what it is :P. Great video!

  • hes saying keep right...meaning when he comes over the jump...dont drift to the left or ull go offline

  • He says "keep right".

  • Comment removed

  • @resource112 'Key right' or 'KEEP right'

  • K Right means keep right

  • @resource112 you sure he isn't saying Keep Right? like keep the car on the right side of the road? :)

  • amazing

  • sorry

  • I saw this stage live in Finland in 2004. It was amazing. It looks a lot faster in real life than in this video. Go Petter!

  • can't you get this video in high quality?

Petter and Phil are the best! ;)

  • petter and phil mills are simply the BEST

  • I'm in awe.

    Enough said.

  • "it gets faster now" how can it get any faster!!!!!!! nuts pure nuts.

  • opeeensss onee hundreeeddd twenttyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • omg, phil millss!

    they're the best!!

  • No matter. Anyway, no one would not break this record for a long time..

  • Well in all honesty, Colin's old record was done in a much slower car. Also, he was not being scored for points, so he was able to push much harder than usual.

  • Even when not scored for points, you're not going to want to face the music for wrecking your car due to overconfidence. Pushing hard is pushing hard.

Seeing drivers go all out like this is what makes the sport fun. Who actually wants to think their favorite driver is being reserved just to stay safe on the leaderboard?

  • it is not that it is the matter of driving

  • This Peters record will be for a long time..Fuck the rest.

  • Considering they stopped using this full stage, I'd say your right. :P

  • Considering his performance lately, that might not be someone your going to have to root for anymore. I always liked Peter but something is going on there and he's ether going to have to overcome it of move on down the long line of drivers.

  • @SCUDERIA031 actually it will probably last forever since after that rally they added 3 chicanes to slow the speed down and then dropped it all together from rally finland.

  • Petter is history.... soon. No god result in long time.... years....

  • That co-driver has the hardest job on the planet...lol

  • a leg jobb:):)

    subaru forever

  • Compared to his recent runs... petter seems to lost abit of his confidence in his driving...after all he hasn't win anything in few years....

  • ya fair comment i think he has lost the hunger & the car has been up to speed for a good few years now.atko has more speed at the mo & solberg could lose his seat if performances dont improve next year.

  • Really? Where did you hear that? Sad days. Had to see it coming though.

  • oh thats only my own opinion.ya he has been an great advert for WRC.

  • Yes and Prodrive maybe lose it`s running of the Subaru Team if they don`t improve . I think that is what Subaru needs , some new fresh blood in their company .

  • petter was awesome in 2003... ouninpohja was excluded this year for safety reasons. was the best stage in wrc... insanely fast.

  • a big BRAVO to Phil Mills

  • Impressing how they can all manage to go through that stages so fast!

Really crazy but incredible driving from Petter, he must be proud to have Phil be his side!

Indeed, who would expect the "it gets faster now" phrase!

Those people are crazy (think about the good meaning of the word!!), I love to watch them on board!

  • Yea it is, I was watching a review from this years rally, Im from finland so I was there on the stages too, but when I watcjhed the review from Hirvonens in car cam, I heard that the co driver had to leave some turn off the note because Mikko was driving so fast so he had no time to say them all, he was just telling to Mikko like every second/third corner :D

  • I was there too :) but I'm not finish and I don't understand a word of Hirvonens onboard:( Anyway, worth to mention that pace notes are made by driver during the recce, so what co-driver reads during the event is what he wrote down when driver dictated to him. So it may be just the way Mikko is doing his pacenotes. But as I said I don't understad a word in finish...

  • you got to loved it. phill says at 6.22 "it gets faster now" and petter is driving like crazy allready. it's just so amasing how good these guys are.

  • translation plz..

  • i can make a translation for you.. i got the pace notes from the stage so i can copy it and send it on email or something

  • well i send you an email about that..feel free to respond

  • Breathtaking!

  • unimmaginable respect for co-drivers and also drivers for registering what there saying so quickly

  • OHHHH y God Phill Mills its SO amazing my God im so impressed.

Petter Solberg one of the best.

  • Correction:

    2004:P.Solberg 130,28 km/h average speed

    FIA limit: 130 km/h

  • Stage Time:

    2001: H. Rovanperä, Peugeot 206, 34,11 km, 16:29,9 min, 123,70 km/h

    2002: H. Rovanperä, Peugeot 206, 34,13 km, 15:58,6 min, 127,7 km/h

    2003: C. McRae, Citroen Xsara, 33,24 km, 15:25,1 min, 128,51 km/h

    2004: P. Solberg, Subaru Impreza, 33,24 km, 15:18,5 min, 129,44 km/h

    2007: M. Grönholm, Ford Focus, 33,01 km, 15:19,8 min, 129,16 km/h

    Go Petter and Phil!

  • 2007 there was chicanes to slow down speed and still Grönholm is that close to Solberg. Shows how cars continue to evolve(and budget also :P)
