Love my tone enhancers. I can't tell any loss in sound from the drones, and even though I was a steady blower already, they really evened out my drones.
What would you reccomend for a beginer who wants to learn and buy a bagpipe but doesn't have thousands of dollars to spend? I've heard that the Paki made bagpipes are not worth the money. Is this true?
The tune in the background at the beginning up through about 3:30 is "The Little Spree" and is a wonderful piobaireachd. Not sure about the others though.
I believe this particular version is performed by Jori Chisholm
And Shepherd bagpipes are great...great tone, very stable. Not a fan of tone enhancers though...dampen the sound of the drones too much...I prefer the full volume of the drones to be going.
and at 3:50:?

If you don't have a lot of money to spend, I recommend Dunbar Polypenco (plastic) pipes.
Check them out at Dunbar's website at dunbarbagpipes DOT com. Good luck.
