I know this is kind of a silly question but do you think a white girl can rock a head wrap? I really like it, & now I will need to do it anyways for quite awhile. Are there any step by step picture versions with all of them online? Does anyone know? Thanks
I Love this look! I have alopecia...and lost my hair. Do you think this will still work for me? I REALLY want one of these. Where can I buy the head wrap..or can I just go to a fabric store and buy fabric?
This isn't my video, but i do this wrap a lot. It will work with no hair; with this style the fullness of the bun depends only on how long your fabric is. you won't have to stuff the wrap as with this young lady's other video. I actually prefer pull my hair back as tight as possible or cornrow it so it isn't in the wrap at all.You can use any fabric you buy from a fabric store. Or, to get creative and save money, you can use old clothes with interesting prints to make your own.
You are so beautiful and radiant! I used to wrap my hair as a teenager 30 years ago....I was one of the few at the time. Keep on doing what you do......lovely!!
oh i do mind differently si will try this way as well. i have a few different styles i do as i'm a headscarf & hat person.I'll try to get my cam working to show you. Know i asked you about getting my hair straighter before but now i'm just shaving it all off for the 3rd time in my life, lol.
Yes, this style is a student must! LOL! Any fabric that you like will work, the softer the better for this style. I purchased this from a Indian discount fabric store. You'll have a blast picking out headwrap styles, patterns and colors! For the cleopatra style (see my second headwrap video) you will need stiffer fabric. Have fun!
BEAUTIFUL!

so, can it be regular fabric? like if you were trying to sew? or does it have to be a headwrap?
LaCoRaMaRie 3 years ago
yea it can be regular fabric i use one of my grandmothers bigger old scarves or even a t-shirt, and cotton or wool like fabric works best

Can you tell me how much fabric you will need to do the bun wrap?
divavibe 3 years ago
You'll need about 6 feet for a mega bun, less if you like a regulare sized bun...best!
