Atkinson argues for elimination of tax on unemployed

Thanks for this video of the horrible economy here in Oregon. There are too many people out of work here and they keep saying things are getting better and the REAl unemployment rate is still 24% or more. Craiglist is filled with jobs that do not exist and people here do not return your calls no matter how many times you call when they call you one time and make a decision based on not even meeting you AT ALL. I am being blamed for something I never did at all. I hate it here.

Thanks for this post of how horrible and bad things really are here. We are in a severe DEPRESSION and it is not over. The REAL unemployment rate here is about 48% or more. I have a 4 year college degree in Accounting and can get NO JOB at all. We should not get taxed at all. I was in a car wreck and no one will hire me due to my knees being out. Temp agencies and the unemployment dept does not care either and does not help you at all when you come in there to work on the computer.Things are bad

I agree with you about eliminating the tax on unemployed people. The unemployment rate is highest here in the nation. They are trying to eliminate alot of the population. Unemployment is not always going to be there. I got laid off last year when the call center I worked for outsourced and got people for much lower wages in another area. There are NO JOBS here for anyone. After 117 interviews no one will hire me. They do not care over at the Worksource employment office at all and you are a #.
