  • good find! TFS

  • wehat are the chords to this song

  • @Tessyrella The main chords are Dm7 and Ebaj7. Of course, you could spice things up by going with a Dm9 to Ebmaj9. On the chorus, if memory serves me correctly, their going from Dm to Cmaj and then Gm to Fmaj. I don't have an instrument in front of me right now, so I'm totally sure, but that sounds right.

  • holly molly oooohs..thank you for posting this brilliant piece...

    I'm just blowin away. !

  • wow you rule!

  • son un grupo que nadie sabe de el pero tienen las mejores rolas

  • thank's i'm just glad to see this. when they where in akron music store i had a chance to jam so to say and learn.that was a long time ok,thank's again.

  • Glad I found you!! :p

  • @AuntieSoul33 Welcome to the PAH-TAY!!

  • Any time you get to see the OG's is good for me...Thanks for the upload.

  • nothing better than being there in person...

  • Why are all these uploads in this low shitty 240p quality? The live sound recording in those days already left something to be desired. Now with these low resolution uploads were double screwed. But nice choice of upload nevertheless. But some high Def would be nice, especially when you rip it from a DVD.

  • @Moreasy Believe me, if it could be any better, it would. Even thought it's from a "professional" DVD, it's definitely a bootleg product. The video quality of the DVD isn't much better than what it is here. There is better footage out there, but this was all about Avenue Records & Jerry Goldstein making a quick buck.

  • @Odawg96

    JUST ENJOY

    U TECHNOPHOBES

  • wish i could find four cornered room by war.

  • @WORLDWIDE187HUT It's up here...the LP version. There's no live version that I've ever seen or heard.

  • @WORLDWIDE187HUT It's up here on the Tube...the LP version. There's no live version that I've ever seen or heard.

  • All righ, folks...PLEASE go and pick up WAX POETICS MAGAZINE #44...in bookstores soon! WAR is on the cover!

  • @Odawg96, I got mine! Great job!!!

  • good work, this sounds way killer

  • what a great music!what a fucking great grooooooooovy band!

  • I sure hope that this is an amateur bootleg recording. Otherwise these guys really suck or the sound producer of this video should be shot And I'm even stoned at the present moment....

  • @surfbeat64 Amateur recording? Probably, BUT...the folks at Avenue Records/Far Out Productions will do anything to make a buck. There's definitely better footage out there, it's just a matter of digging it up. Any SERIOUS War fan, though, knows that these guys are top-notch musicians. Even with the crappy quality seen and heard here, their musicianship CLEARLY stands out.

  • @Odawg96

"Far Out Productions"..well that just clarifies the crappy vid ;-)

  • War is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Same caliber as Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago & P-Funk. I have almost all of their albums on vinyl starting from Eric Burdon Declares War.

  • this was later after charles miller was killed

  • EARLY WAR ..BROVO.. GIVE THE A HAND.. COME TO DAY .. WELL IN THE 70'WELL KNOWN BAND WHICH IS MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME.. WAR~~ YAH WAR.. THEY R STILL .. IN MY BOOK THE GREAST BAND OF ALL TIME ... COME ON ...

  • this is on dvd. I watched it last night , its before Spill the wine. not listed. But dvd is poor as songs are wrongly labelled .

  • @camster64 It might depend on which DVD you own. I know there are a couple of different pressings of this performance. I actually have the first one, and it's DEFINITELY NOT on my DVD. It has the piano intro heard here, and then it goes right to "Spill the WIne." I'm guessing you have one of the late editions. In any case, we both can agree on the poor labelling of the songs!

  • @Odawg96 yeh must have , I know there is 3 different dvds on sale of this gig. Three fingers and a smile. Lowrider band the real WAR

  • Some seroius war funk here. Live 1980 , saw them week before in Apollo. Cool tune. check it out.

  • My Bad I thought that looked like Lee Oskar

  • Comment removed

  • You don't know what you're talkin' 'bout.

This IS War...or at least the the Music Band version of the group (circa '79). Lonnie Jordan on keys, Papa Dee Allen on percussion, Harold Brown on drums, Lee Oskar on harmonica, and Howard Scott on guitar. Luther Rabb had just replaced BB Dickerson on bass and Pat Rizzo had just replaced Charles Miller on sax. Ron Hammon came on board as a second drummer.

There's a few gung-ho WAR experts on this thread...and I'm one of 'em.

  • @Odawg96 YEAH TXLASTREBEL I FOLLOW THIS BAND ALSO AND YOUR TOTALLY CORRECT. THE ALBUM WAS WAR THE MUSIC BAND 2.

  • fo shizzle

  • Wow , why didnt they put this on DVD. Thanks for memories , I saw them a week or so before this was taped , sung with Howard Scott . great thanks

  • Thanks Odawg. 3 fingers and a smile to you! Keep delivering the word.
