I have two Papillons. I think that is a pure breed Pap. Most dogs love the belly rub, as my two boys do. Enjoy this fur person! I consider my dogs worth several prescription's worth of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications. Plus, who can resist a fuzzy face when arriving home?

Your dog is (I think) a Chihuahua Papillion mix. Or pure Papillion. My dog is 1/2 Basenji (a very rare breed) and 1/2 Papillion. Your dog looks similar but not exact. I think he/she is definitely Papillion.

being around firstly chihuahuas for 26 yrs and dog show for most of my life in both breeds i'd say that the dog has chihuahua and pap in her. very pretty little girl and who would want to dump something like that is beyond me. :-( glad she found her way to you as obviously she is very much loved and cared for.

I have the evil twin of this dog. He is definitly a long haired chihuahua. My dog is called growley bear bunni as he has a tendancy to growl whenever you try to pet him or put on his jacket. However we still love him!

Tiara, you are such a beautiful Papillon. I think you and my Toby (also a Pap) would get along so well together. Yes, I would definitely pet you, and exactly in the same spot that I do with Toby. Both have the same habits while on their backs and the paws going upwards. Does Tia like back rubs? My Toby always sits on my lap and wants a back rub all the time (before the tummy rub.)

papillon's are their own breed. The word is french for butterfly. The are believed to come from Belgium and are mostly companion dogs

She's a long coat Chihuahua. We have a Papillon too and people often tell us they always think they are the same breed of dog. But our Papillon has much longer fur coming off of her ears. They are both beautiful breeds, but my long coat Chi has a sweeter disposition.

She is a long coat Chihuahua. Gorgeous one at that. I have one too. Love her. We also have a Papillon but the Chi is much sweeter. Paps can be very jealous and over protective. But I love them both!

I ended up doing a DNA test. She's 1/2 American Eskimo, 1/4 Pekingese, and 1/4 miscellaneous. :) I never realized until I got the DNA results back that American Eskimos come in toy size, too. It explains so much about her fur!
