it's unbelievable how little attention people pay, obama voted to fund the war 3 times may 2005, dec 2005, and june 2006, and also in june 2006 obama rejected a bill the would force bush to bring the troops home within 1 year. Research his voting record for yourself. wake up, Ron Paul is the only canidate who truely opposes the iraq war and has the voting record to prove it.
so tell me fuck nut how come obama voted not to fund the war in 2007 do some research before you start typing, if all congressman refused to fund the war altogether like ron paul we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Because at that point the war had lasted longer than WWII and the Democrats had just gotten a majority in Congress. Listen, I respect Ron Paul, but he's not going to be on the ballot in November. Our next President is either going to be Obama or McCain, and there is a very big difference between the two.
so let me get this straight. if the war lasts less the WWII it's OK to vote to fund it, even though it's undeclared, unprovoked, and unconstitutional, but if it's lasts longer than WWII it's not OK to fund it. Also which party has the majority shouldn't affect a congressman's vote. R
uh i did my research and nowhere did i see that obama voted against funding the war in 2007. but let me explain this. if you stop funding the war you abandon the troops and that is something you dont want to do
Face reality. Ron Paul isn't running in the General Election. Either McCain or Obama is going to be the next President.
You can write in Ron Paul or stay home but if you decide to throw your vote away and McCain gets elected, you'll be watching us invade Iran knowing that you didn't vote for the anti-war candidate because you didn't think he was absolutely fucking perfect.
that's right and besides obama is a socialist, in november we will have 2 evils to vote for, and I will vote for neither, we've been voting for the lesser of 2 evils for the last 40 years, i'm not doing it anymore, when you make a deal with the devil, you always get burned. if you wanted a anti-war canidate you should have gotten behind Mike Gravel, the dems are IDIOTS for nominating a black muslim why don't they just hand the presidency to Mclaim right now.

There's a difference between voting for the war and voting not to abandon them without any equipment once they're there.

john kerry in june of 06 authored a bill that would force the president to bring the troops home within 12 months OBAMA VOTED NO

ok i found it. the bill would not have withdrawn all combat troops. but on 03/15/2007 "United States Policy in Iraq Resolution of 2007"
he voted yes on that bill which failed and that bill would have forced the president to withdrawl all combat troops
