I've watched all the Steve Cluckey Duster videos. I absolutely love the car. I have a 70' Gold Duster I'm building, I can't afford to take it to that level yet. I have a 67' 440 with 906s and a 727 going in. I will run it at Lebanon Valley and New England dragway and I hope Mr. Cluckey is there. I want to shake his hand and see the car in person.
would you mind listing the parts you used for the engine? I will be building a 318 soon and the research I've done says the best i can do with out power adders is about 500hp?
@426hemimoparX3 This motor is a stroker, it comes out to like 380 cubes. I believe it has indy heads, longer stroke crankshaft, prolly like .550 lift on the camshaft, maybe more. The 318 is a good motor too, you can see 450+ hp if it's a tight build and you have good airflow & fuel delivery.
@426hemimoparX3 500 horse with a 318? I'd like to see that. Cylinder head flow, or the lack thereof, is the biggest cork when building a small bore Mopar. Start with a good aftermarket head, and prepare for lots of expensive porting. The easiest way to up the ante with a 318 is to stuff a 4" crank in it. Small Mopars have quite a tall deck deck compared to a Chevy, so that 4" crank is practically a drop in. It yields about 390" Run a BIG cam and a single plane intake, and you might get close.
they are indy heads, and it's a 340 stroker motor.. i want to say that it comes out to 414 to 416 cubic inch, no alcahol, no nitrous no fake power. and thanks :o) pops is pretty crazy about things being perfect and clean
sounds really nice, I want my GTS back.

I'm sorry, I honestly don't know what's in this engine. This is my dads car.
