  • @1edowg the check box isn't clickable, not sure what's going on there..sorry

  • My hero.

  • LOL! See that I watched this two months ago. Still lovely.

  • Have no idea how many times I've watched this one, but its still lovely , I'm sure like so many other fans wishing another visit soon. . .

  • wow your amazing! I love your training tequnique it's both nice to the horse and to the ridder. I want so badly to train and be around horses however I don't have a clue how to get into the industry do you have any tips for me?

    Thanks so much,

    Nicole.

    Jennifer Faulkner

p.s that horse is beautiful xxxx

  • Hi Jen, you have to ride everything. Never refuse to ride a horse because that horse could be the one that teaches you the most.

  • dude ur like me im 13 in the uk and want to do wat u do lol

  • Fascinating stuff. Great to see someone applying science to assess their methods as well. Am keen to find out more about the physiological and behavioural reasonings behind TAP. I'm not overly keen on the backing of such young horses, but understand that it's part of the industry you are in - I'm now a purely leisure rider with 2 young horses that I have backed (both bareback in a chilled-out, spontaneous moment) and brought on very slowly. PS love the cheeky humour too!

  • Great ! I will be talking to some people here in Southern California ,,, at the track ,,, I want them to see you , and maybe something can come of this ,,,,, Dave.

  • Wonderful to watch your techniques--would like to use the "tap" on my Arabian who was definitely mishandled, not by me, but in the past--does this technique work on aged horses and how do you apply the technique properly-

    You are one interesting fellow!

Do you live in the States?

    Hugs=Sheri

  • As always very educational and I've just noticed that I've been sitting here for the last 2 hours non stop just taking it all in! You have an amazing approach to horses and you make us all want to be better horsemen/women ;o)

  • Sir, this is truely amazing. i've been riding since i was 4 and have seen quite a few horses go sour because of bad handling. i have seen horses flip over backwards because some one was just wailing on their mouth. it is quite sad to see. but you are wonderful with these horses.

  • May many more horses fall into your kind hands! Respect...stay safe x

  • Paul,

If you could teach others to RIDE like you do, rather than prancing about on the ground, you will be the most famous horseman in the world! Go for it - you have a talant.

  • Im gonna say it i think you hot!! Yup totaly babe XD

  • Very impressive training on that colt. I loved the resistance free way you that you work.

Please post updates on the progress of this little fellow.

  • I am in amazment of your skills! I could watch you all day. Keep up the good work, and keep making videos. Would love to come watch you train. Hope you do someday become famous, if you aren't already.

  • For some reson everytime you mount it looks like your having trouble

  • ??? I don`t think I have any trouble mounting. Can you explain more ?

  • i THINK. horsemanship18: was trying to say when your just juping on well your legs are all over the place, and you dont get your leg over the horse you just kind of hang there and then put you leg over.Yor still trying to sit you, but thats just what i saw. Cute video though, you sure have the tough, lets hope it doesnt just apply to horses XD

  • Ok, this is a breaker. I was teaching him to stand while I jump up. Please go thru and watch parts 1-6. Sorry but I thought it was obvious what I was doing..

  • Uh, smokin much lately??

  • I think what you do is amazing! I really wish there were more people like you who just took the time för their hourse.

    MvH Ida in sweaden

  • What are all the little bullpin type things at 3:28?they are very intresting they look like extra small arenas.

    Thanks,

    Taylor :)

  • There turn out paddock to give the horses a break from being in the box all day..Just put the horse out in the morning and bring it back in later..

  • You have an INDOOR racetrack!!??????:O

  • i saw that too and was quite taken back. must be nice!

  • I think what you do is amazing! I really wish there were more people like you who just took the time to give a horse a chance.

  • Here's what I want to know - your employers must be loaded. I can't BELIEVE all the totally cool stuff you have at your disposal for horse training. Do they make a lot of money racing Thoroughbreds in Japan? Stupid question I guess. Hey, I'm coming to Japan in March; can I have a tour? :-)

  • is that cheeky

  • You're Awesome!!! Thank you so much for sharing, I love watching your videos and strongly appreciate the opportunities to do so.

I understand if you do not have the time to respond to all the questions people ask you, but; Are you interested in providing a venue for people to ask questions about horse responses and behaviours? I am curious to know if you have an opinion on the influence of using a bit with swivel shanks, such as a shanked snaffle or a Tom Thumb?

    Love watching you Endo,

  • you've done a great job at getting this horse to ride so quickly but isn't 18 months early for a horse to be riden? or is that normal in the racing world? i've always known that a horse shouldn't be rode until at least two preferably 3. also, do you actually have trust and respect from the horse or just a horse with a broken spirit by laying him down?

  • i think u should have kept this one, u need one of your own!! he will miss his homey!!!

  • Beautiful scenery. Looks like a nice place to live. Wish you were in Canada though. I like your way with horses. You have a gift and a real talent.

  • LOVE your videos! They're awesome! I've learned so much! Thanks for posting them! :D

  • I think this is my favorite vid. of the series that Paul posted. It is so amazing how nice this colt is in such a short ammont of training time. Unbroken to loving trusting colt and looks like the horse was worked for 6 months not just one month. It's so wonderfull to watch a horse and rider both enjoy their work.

  • Do you ever find that the rogues are the better horses at the end? It seems to me when I start horses the ones that are harder to start end up being better in the end partners. I ride eventing and dressage and it seems like those egos make them the best show horses.

  • Thanks again, Endo, for posting this one. Wish me was very wealthy & could bring this colt to the USA. Let him grow up a little more & place him in a H/J or Dressage barn. He's a beauty & love his expression.

  • Glad to hear it. I need to sort this mare so she can go back to work. Poor thing was doing well until I let her be used for a University competition and their "top rider" wouldn't follow instructions. I think the Tap would be good for her...far less stress than having her freak!

  • Paul - WHEN are you going to get the DVD done? (You were talking about it a looong time ago on a bulletin board, Pinky.) I have a mare who could really benefit from this. Haven't heard from you in ages, but I can see from the vids here you've been busy. Good stuff, mate. Keep it up!

  • I'm nearly done, sit tight grasshopper

  • yur up early!!!!!

  • ok so i watched it again with the same result, tears!! i think its the song...lol hey Paul do u do any breezing anymore?or do u soley just break them now? just wondering.

  • The fast ones are gone, back to the teaching the babies how to breeze..

  • Thank you for the series... I loved them! Beautiful way to start horses!

  • *clapping hands* that's amazing! And a great song btw!! :-D

  • fantastic! loved the whole series!

  • Just mesmorizing. Paul, your work is amazing. I cannot wait for the DVD plus your musical and production sense is fantastic.

    Anne

  • Woohoo just look at a fantastic, happy, understood 'Endo'd colt!

It's been great watching this series of your video's Paul! He is a real credit to you and your work!

Now I need to you to do a video on 'Buckers' lol. Tx

  • Great job, Endo! Hes a beautiful colt! I have just bought a really nice OTTB that is 10 yrs old and has been reschooled as a jumper. Man, can she run like the wind! Now i know why you like these horses!

  • You got it, they don't get any faster. I use to think my pony was fast...lol

You do get the occasional "Herbie", but most of them are Supercharged fuel injected V8's

  • Endo, Is my mind (or the video) playing tricks or are you doing all the work in video 6 at the cantor? That's what impressed me most is that your horse never got away from you. Your calm demeanor is such a gift for those horses, I try to instill that in all my students and when I train but I rarely see that "zen" thing fostered or even encouraged. Maybe you have to be born with it. You certainly were.

  • That's me, all 5'5 of me...lol

  • I love youre video's.. Is there no job over for my?? :D

  • aww i luv it

  • *tear* lol WOOOOO ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR ENDO!!!! lol that was the coolest thing ever like the whole series so intersting i LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED it :):) great job as always

    xoxox

  • You know, Paul, I think if you came over to the US, hung your shingle up as a horse/people trainer to OTTBs, that while you may not get rich, you would certainly clear up a great many "throw-away" horses.

  • another great video!

  • Just fabulous. Now waiting for next video... :)

  • i think it would be hard to leave tht view!!

  • Hi there Mister Endo.. again.. you have done a fine job with another horse in the Tbred world. You are an efficient, kind, fair, and knowledgeable trainer. Gee, come to the states..and find a way... and spread some of your love to the USA.

  • oh yeah, YU ARE THE LAST SAMURAI!!!

  • will u marry me??hahah this is what i'm talking about, yu got nothing to prove Paul. i hope u watch these yourself, its such a pleasure to watch this process come together, and thank ua gain for sharing! KUDOS my friend

  • P.S. Give that handsome chestnut a BIG KISS on the nose from America! Wish him well for us, please!

  • That was Beauuuutiful! Choked up and got tears in my eyes! Really I DID! But smiling too.

    BLESS YOUR HEART, ENDO!

    T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U!!!

Gawd! Find me a Kleenex all ready...

  • Thanks Julz, 4 weeks ago this horse was still at the breeders running around the paddock, now his life has a new meaning and he accepts it but it`s heartbreaking to think he might not reach 4yrs old because of the bottle neck of horses waiting to get to the trainers..

  • Get him lined out and on a good pace then! His SPEED will be his best defense. Make sure his barcode reads: *FAST!* And gets their attention so he's not lost in the herd. Finish the job with him, show him what he must do in his world to be a survivor!

    GREAT VIDEO!

  • don't tell my boss, she'll come to japan and buy it ;)

    4 weeks? good job!

  • Plz xplain. U saying he could get put down? Or U saying his chances at the track are slim to none? Rn't U training them for the track yourself? Why can't he go dressage or something else?

  • He's a colt and will have to win big time for a chance at stud. Most fillies come back to farms to be used as mares. Owners don't go looking for nice homes for horses that don't run and they aren't just gonna give them away after spending so much money on them. I work with these horses for 12 months and never see them again after they go. This job isn't for the weak and you have to switch off like a robot but sometimes that doesn't work and you still get attached.

  • I liked the scene where you were giving the colt a drink of water from the hose.

  • You have a wonderfull way with horses. That is a Lucky colt to be started by Endo!

  • I do like your videos and the way you train the TB's. The race horse world, at least here in America, has a lot to be desired as far as treatment of these horses. Yes, they have the best of the best as far as facilities, but they have so very many emotional and physical problems, that they end up at slaughter when they are finished with them. I like the fact that you have them exposed to other things, greatening the chances of them being "normal" off the track. Your opinion?

  • Hi endo, you are doing a wonderful job with all thease horses and certinly making some of there lives much better. your straitforward calm way of working is great to watch and have helped me with bringing along my percheron mare, well except the jumping on bare back part as she is on her way to 17 hands.

  • I WANT this horse! It's so beautiful <3
