@JTGolden250 It is a series 100 from superior gearbox with 1:1.4 ratio speed increaser. There are several different versions to choose from just find the one that suits your needs. My gearbox temp has never gone above 160*. What are you working on?
@jonb9428 Rotorway 133. What is that gearbox you're using for the main rotor? I would love to see this in person. I have so many questions. lol Was also wondering about the one way clutch, it doesn't look like the one I have, it looks much heavier.
What blades are you using? Rotorway blades rotate clockwise and your system turns counterclockwise. That is the problem I ran into, it would be nice to see someone get a Subaru engine to work.
@donold009 The blades that I have were made for my helicopter by Precision rotors. The root end is 2.8" thick for my larger rotor hub, the blades are 12' 1'" long for a diameter of 25' 10" , 8" chord, 1.1 inch thick. I ran it today at 510 rpm after geting the lead/lag close to where it needs to be. The Subaru engine runs great now that I have all the wiring sorted out.
@jonb9428 Thats Great J.. Any more video to share of it? What did you come up with empty weight on it? Did the subaru engine wheigh more or less than the rotorway 152? I believe the 152 is listed in my manual at 175 pounds? Might have to double check that.... Look forward to seeing more.....
@truthadvance I finished all the minor things today finally. I will be drilling the blades and mounting the blade straps tomorrow. I hope to have a video with the main rotors turning by the end of this week if everything goes well.
@m1217k I mounted the blades Thursday to do a static balance and lead lag. I got the positive and negative pitch set. I changed the coolant sender and put in an oxygen sensor today. I plan to pull it out of the garage and run it tomorrow (Sunday) without the blades and if everything is running good and the rain holds off then I will mount the blades and run everything Monday during tethered testing. Then after 5 hours of tethered operation i will start hover testing.

What kind of gear box did you use for the tail rotor? Where can I get one like it?
