Hey! I live in Canda and the weather doesn't seem to accept Canada cities. Any idea on how to fix it? I already tried with Yahoo! Weather and it doesn't work at all!
easy if u want pre-patched just google htc sensation and download and install using winscp .. it will take about 2 mins .. but u just have to drag the folder .. thats it
Hi.. I'm pretty new to this however I managed to install the HTC FX theme. My challenge is to set the weather settings.. I've tried many options but No luck so far.. Your help is most appreciated. I want the weather settings for Sydney Australia.
I have two questions, how do u make the bar at the bottom have that curved outline thing becuase mine does not have that, and also how to u make all the icons fit in the bottom because i can have five icons on the bar and i put two blank icons but they move the icon on the right move off the screen and i cannot see it when the icons are there plz help

every theme that should change the lockscreen background doesn't work! It just stays at the same old default lockscreen background, including this. I can see the custom slider, nothing else, just my old default background.
@iPhoneThemeGuy The iPhone screen capture is done using two things - 1. iDemo for your computer, and 2. either ScreenSplitr or DisplayRecorder on your jailbroken iPhone.
iDemo is free to try but $10 for the full version, and very worth it in my opinion. I use it on most of my other videos under the user 'getfaqd'.
Lastly you'll need a screen recorder just to capture the whole thing.
@scottishslayer could you possibly be willing to help with the other 2 icon such as the phone and safari. You did an excellent job on the video thanks. if you could make a video on changing the whole bottom dock area that would be perfect.

@OMGaMexicanPSN In iOS 4.1 and 4.2, Apple changed the dimensions and naming of the dock background which means that the image you are referring to can't be used. The only way to get that picture behind your dock icons is to paste it onto your wallpaper image using MSPaint or Photoshop etc... If you do want to do that, the image is called Dock.png if i remember correctly, and its found in the main HTC FX.theme folder.

You can download a trial for free, or the full version costs US$10. YYou also need to have 'ScreenSplitter' or 'Display Recorder' available from Cydia running on your iPhone/iPod.
@Dragon14is Like I said you can trial it for free but that's it. I haven't looked in to any other softwares of this type as i find this one to be great. The name of the theme is HTC FX. I don't use it any more as the widget is very problematic.

@ICreativityI Here is a list of things inside the HTC FX.theme folder you need to keeop, all others can be deleted: Entire 'Private' folder, Info.plist, Infovak.plist, StatusBar.png, Wallpaper.jpg, Widget.html.
Of course this will give you the stock waterfall wallpaper, so either replace it with your own inside this folder, or get 'User Wallpaper 4.0' from Cydia.

@nolangmez So you're saying that you can't drag an iBlank icon onto your dock? I just tested (3GS on iOS4.2.1) and it works fine. Can you explain your problem in any more detail? Also what device and iOS you have? Let me know and i'll do my best to help!

Long story short in the new versions of iOS, Apple has changed the naming of many files and moved them around. We need to rename and move these files, but this causes other problems which I'm working on at the moment.
It would be helpful if you could go to getfaqd.com and post your iPod/iPhone model and iOS version and i'll keep working!
@nerdboy2009 That is a major problem with this theme, and the answer to your question can be a number of things. Sometimes it just doesn't work straight away and needs a respring or two to start working. Otherwise your location may not be set up correctly. This information is stored in a file called 'ConfigureMe.js' which is part of the theme. Have you modified this at all? Please sign up at getfaqd.com and make a thread about this in the forum as we may need to try several different things!
@ProfesserBadass you have to edit the 'ConfigureMe.js' file. Where are you in Australia? This is the format you need for Australian weather -> for examplei live in Melbourne, so you have to change what's there to 'Melbourne, Australia'.

@scottishslayer what i mean is when i installed the htc theme the ``left button`` on the bottom is set to open as ``winterboard`` when i click on it. i would like to have it set to open as ``settings`` instead.
@killu2day55 You can use a program from Cydia called iFile, which is what i use in this vid. It's a paid app but it sits on your iPhone so you can use it whenever you like. The other way is to use an FTP client like 'FileZilla' on PC. You also need the free tweak 'OpenSSH' from Cydia. I have had a few problems doing it this way lately but have ways to fix it. If i get enough interest i can do a video on how to get into the file system of your phone.
@vicsalf Summerboard was around before Winterboard. Some themes are very old or have been coded in an old style, so Summerboard maximises compatability and lets them work properly. Good job figuring it out! l
@andand10 You have the exact same phone as me and are using the exact same theme which obviously contains the exact same files. 'Tokyo, JP' has to work. I got REALLy confused with replacing the mail and biteSMS with HTC FX and Casio 2. My biteSMS is still the same, and so is my mail, even though I think I followed your steps correctly.

@Rizspizs Hey mate, you'll need to download 'User Wallpaper 4.0' from Cydiaif you are on iOS4. Just enable it in winterboard and set your wallpaper. You'll need to respring to see your new wallpaper.

@AWHv1 i got this working by typing 'Stuttgart, Germany' ... needed a reboot for it to come up... i'm currently looking into the coding to try and fix this as this theme hasnt been updated in ages.

@thelastdon2222 It's wierd how it goes between abbreviations and full names, but for Melb you need 'Melbourne, Australia'
Also if you get the '?' instead of that weather its a good idea to respring and dont touch the phone until the screen has dimmed. Give it 30 secs after respring then open up. Sometimes works, but usually you just have to respring a head til it starts working! Good luck!
i just want to know how to change the bloody weather! I'm from london england, i went into ifile, stash, themes, htc fx.. short story i got to the place where you edit the weather. for the locale thingy i put in london, or london england, or england and nothing works! a message pops up saying error. please help
Pretty sure this theme will work fine on iPod, havent used it for a while but i also think it comes with a big 'iPod' button to use in place of the 'Phone' one.

@xTOSxDJNY what was the problem you are having cos this is an ipod theme according to the description... not to be pushy but if you head over to the site and put a description of what you want from those tuts in the forum i'll get on to making them, that way i can tailer them to your (and i guess other peoples!) needs
@scottishslayer the music and videos wasnt an ipod button there were seperate so i guess u have to download somethin on cydia that makes ur music and videos on i pod touches to be like the iphone where there together i guess. Havent tested it though but yea and the weather repsring problem is an issue 2, if your springboard crashes and restarts the weather gets messed up somehow and u have to ssh again i guess...idk still testin so ill let u know
this is a kool theme......the main problem with it thoe is the weather......everytime you have to respring your device it fails to reload the weather everytime....... most of the time you(i) just get '?' will there be a fix???? love this theme thoe!
The ? problem is a fair pain but hopefully something the developer will be looking into, havent heard any word on it yet though! We all know jailbroken phones do love to be resprung so it is a bit irritating, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Thank you for the quick response but I manage to find what it was.
I did not have the "SummerBoard Mode" on, not sure of the concept of this, but now the dock is showing.

Caaan someone please tell me how to change the background please. I tried changing it by deleting the wallpaper file. But that got rid of the widget to.. Thanks to anyone who helps :)

@Rizspizs Hey mate, you'll need to download 'User Wallpaper 4.0' from Cydiaif you are on iOS4. Just enable it in winterboard and set your wallpaper. You'll need to respring to see your new wallpaper.

@AWHv1 i got this working by typing 'Stuttgart, Germany' ... needed a reboot for it to come up... i'm currently looking into the coding to try and fix this as this theme hasnt been updated in ages.

No luck. What did you set your var locate to be?

@thelastdon2222 It's wierd how it goes between abbreviations and full names, but for Melb you need 'Melbourne, Australia'
Also if you get the '?' instead of that weather its a good idea to respring and dont touch the phone until the screen has dimmed. Give it 30 secs after respring then open up. Sometimes works, but usually you just have to respring a head til it starts working! Good luck!

i just want to know how to change the bloody weather! I'm from london england, i went into ifile, stash, themes, htc fx.. short story i got to the place where you edit the weather. for the locale thingy i put in london, or london england, or england and nothing works! a message pops up saying error. please help

Pretty sure this theme will work fine on iPod, havent used it for a while but i also think it comes with a big 'iPod' button to use in place of the 'Phone' one.

@xTOSxDJNY what was the problem you are having cos this is an ipod theme according to the description... not to be pushy but if you head over to the site and put a description of what you want from those tuts in the forum i'll get on to making them, that way i can tailer them to your (and i guess other peoples!) needs

@scottishslayer the music and videos wasnt an ipod button there were seperate so i guess u have to download somethin on cydia that makes ur music and videos on i pod touches to be like the iphone where there together i guess. Havent tested it though but yea and the weather repsring problem is an issue 2, if your springboard crashes and restarts the weather gets messed up somehow and u have to ssh again i guess...idk still testin so ill let u know

this is a kool theme......the main problem with it thoe is the weather......everytime you have to respring your device it fails to reload the weather everytime....... most of the time you(i) just get '?' will there be a fix???? love this theme thoe!

The ? problem is a fair pain but hopefully something the developer will be looking into, havent heard any word on it yet though! We all know jailbroken phones do love to be resprung so it is a bit irritating, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.
