WOW, there's no denying Mr. Hall was one of the best there ever was! Mr. Hall is one of my all-time (top five) favorites. George Lewis is up there for me too! He didn't meet the tone and such of Ed, but he was a great inovator, and had great passion! Picou...wow, the list just keeps going and going! Thank goodness for Youtube!!

What a unique powerful sound Hall got out of the clarinet! One of the most distinctive sounds to come out of that instrument in jazz!
